Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2022)
AN EXCITING, DYMANIC FAMILY FILM!
I'm not much for a critic, I don't usually do reviews, or say my say in a film mostly cause I forget half the time. However this latest iteration of the brothers is something I was most excited for, one of my favourite childhood films were TMNT ( 2007 )
That was the first time I was introduced to the Turtles and I've loved them ever since, from their character dynamics, to their development and their teammaking decisions ( when they all work as a team ) .
Granted I've not really watched any of the TV shows nor the classic films, TMNT was really the only thing I saw with them until the live action films,
Then I heard about a new film for 2022 that was a film for the series I had never watched, I was like; sure why not. And then today, when it finally premiered on Netlfix, I watched it and boy was I not disappointed.
For the first time since 2007, I finally was able to watch a film that felt a similar dynamic that my childhood film managed to presume, I loved this movie.
The plot was funny, it had its sad moments and its exciting moments, the characters felt fleshed out, the only issue I had is that I didn't agree how they designed Splinter, other than that I still loved him.
The Krang felt like a powerful foe once again and posed a great threat to Earth and it was up to Casey to find a way to convince the Turtles to work together!
I won't lie, I wasn't used to seeing Rath be the one with common sense, and the most mature out of the Turtles, I just remembered Leo being that. But it was great for their characters. Leo's sacrifice at the end really made some tears, I legitimately thought he wasn't coming back.
My review ain't big, this is my first time, but from what I watched, I'm more excited for the upcoming cinema release for Seth Rogan's attempt with the Turtles.
10/10 film. Highly recommended.
Sword Art Online: Sword and Fist (2019)
Just one word: Stacia.
It was as always, a damn good episode, the fight between Ishkann and Sheyta was as gorgeous as the fights in the Heaven's Feel movies, it was good to see the fight and then seeing Vassago do his favorite thing, PKing -- almost killing Royne, but then the main part, the desend of Asuna aka Goddess Stacia, just that one scene made me scream happiness, after a whole month since she dived, we finally see her in the underworld.
I'm definitely excited for next episode where we finally get what we've been waiting for since episode 1 of Alicization, the renuion of Kirito x Asuna, it'll certainly be a fun episode and a depression one.
