Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein (2022)
A REVIEW FOR THE WRITERS AND AUDIENCE
The entire story doesnt make sense. The writers could have done a much better job in making the show more authentic and alive. Purva who was supposed to be the villain of the story is nearly like the apple of the eyes of the audience by now. She is not the antagonist but rather the protogonist (or should i say the anti hero) is the real antagonist. One cannot really ascertain if he had had psychopathic tendencies from the very start of the show or if it just evolved in him by the situations he frequently finds himself in and might i include, he brings 90 percent of all the troubles unto himself and not the others - but one thing is certain - he has become a psychopath and a sociopath by the end of season 1.
Now, his love for Shikha too is no longer a pure, true one, but has been constantly on a gradual descent to stark obsessiveness since the very 2nd episode.
The wiser thing, the self sacrifical thing to do here would have been to let Shikha go. He did whatever he could, and when things didnt work out, he should have let it be. Instead, he kept making wrong choices, lying which led to more and more lies, then murders, and then tens of killings.
Just to have Purva killed, he agreed to blow out an entire stage and hall full of audience. Many, many innocents died.
At the start of the show, the main character confesses that three things ruin a man: Power, money and women. And while that may be true, but in this series, it is the protagonist himself who has ruied himself and others around him. WHY and HOW? Obsession over the dream to live a simple, mediocre life with a woman he thinks he loves but even that can be doubted at this point. He rather wants to possess the woman he declares he loves.
On the point of Purva, when Vikrant announced to Purva that he didnt want to marry her - Purva actually let him leave, but it was her sociopathic father who then forced him to marry his daughter. Poor Purva wasnt even aware of the electricity cuts, the water cuts, the data cuts. How is she the antagonist in any way. Much like the premise of the show seems to suggest, that isnt the case. If you writers want to make a psychological thrill on the descent of madness of a common man faced with atrocities, the plot of the show could be understood. But thats not the genre of the show as declares is it? Nor the intention.
Also. Plot holes. O yeah, mountains of plot holes. Professional assassin turned rogue? Car bumping over stone to prevent the assassination. Mistaking bullet on the windshield for a stone? A powerful politician dumb enough to kill the lover of a dude and marry him off to his daughter WITHOUT thinking of the consequences? The party gundas lying about Purvas death to Dharmesh without thinking of the consequences? Father in law giving a loaded gun to Vikrant after killing his beloved and that too after abruptly disturbing their honeymoon? People randomly capturing photos of two lover kissing in the space between two vehicles? So many lies and still Purva doesnt catch on, what is she, a log of wood? Purva being so hot and attractive that even a blind man gets a hardon and still the dude obsessively thinking of killing her.
COMEON, ALREADY!
In my opinion, he just needs to open his mouth instead of being so afraid of Purva. Girl may be possessive but genuinely loves him too. She isnt the villain, Vikrant is.
A Discovery of Witches: Episode #3.7 (2022)
TERRIBLE.
To know that all the many hours id spend in the show, and to get the ending we all did. It felt dull, half complete, rushed, lifeless. The show had a lot of potential, a huge array of interesting characters where lots and lots of character development could have been inserted. But nothing of that sort came to be. The fruits never riped.
Of the ending of the show, id only say this - it left me feel not just dissatified, but made it laugh as to how simply things ended, and it disappointed me so greatly. To build all that tension only to kill all the main to semi main villains in the end at the click of the finger. Dont know what the writers intended to do, really, the show was never good for its writing anyway. If not for the intriguing world the writer of the book Deborah Harkness had built, this show would have been down the water long, long ago.
Advice : Save your time. Watch a youtube recap if it gets one.
See: The Queen's Speech (2021)
Its a perfect episode
I loved this episode. Maybe Maghra's speechfelt a bit cringe, but really, most speech feels cringe (unless its by someone with a very heavy, powerful voice, and maghra's aint it). I'll give it a pass, it wasnt a determining factor in rating this episode. Its got a perfect 10 because the plot moves fast in this episode and it had kept me stuck to the edge of the seat and continiously checking the time left for the episode to end (because.i.just.really.didnt.want.it.to.end).
Cant wait for e08. Well, its only 6 hrs away :)
Sex Education: Episode 3 (2021)
I SHIP RUBY and OTIS
Maeve and Otis are great and everything, but Ruby really won my heart with this episode. I loved her character so much and she had such great potential. But, oh, well, she was completely rejected after the first half of the show. Wasted potential, sadly. I am giving it 10 because this episode warmed my heart and made me really happy. It was very unexpected, to find Ruby being an absolute opposite from what one would expect. Maeve is moving away to 'Merica now, Otis should get together with Ruby.
Also, a note of warning. The last few episodes felt a bit off and out of content. There were many monologues and no plot, not much progress. Im quite apprenhensive this show would turn out to be just like the other once-great netflix show - 13 *ahem-ahem*. Please. Dont ruin it. To summarize, great, fantasitc episode, this one!
Supreme Tweeter (2015)
Loved it!
I just watched it ,all three episodes. It was hilarious, especially the part with Maisie and George. The ending was pretty fun as well. I figure what I liked best was seeing the actors as normal, average and everyday humans, working their way through life just like everyone of us. Keep it up Harry!
Dil Bechara (2020)
I have a dream.
The movie may not have been as good as I had previously imagined, but I didn't come to watch the movie so I wasn't really disapppointed. I came to hotstar to watch my Sushant Singh Rajput and I did, and im both happy and sad and I am just thinking about how I'll never get to see him again starring in another movie and its so... seeing his smiling face made me more sad than the TFIOS novel and TFIOS movie combined could. I've known Sushant bhai ever since the Pavitra rishta days and I'll always love him. And I'll always miss him.
I have a dream, I have a dream to make this movie the top rated movie of all time in IMDB just like it was the trailer with the highest likes ever in youtube. We Indians when together are a force not to be meddled with, and if, by Gods grace this movie becomes among the highest ranking movie ever, we'll be sending a message to the world, a message that speaks of our love toward Sushant Singh Rajput, my brother, my hero.
