A classic relived with mastery.
13 November 2020
A classic relived with mastery. A nostalgic heroic storyline with exciting and well-built characters. It served as a school for most of the shonen who came after him, managing to capture all the magic and rhythm that the plot of the franchise's games have.

The animation and the soundtrack are cool and made with a lot of love. This is the maximum that Toei Animation can offer. The script is faithful to the manga, with some minor adaptations of humor and violence, but nothing to spoil the show.

If you are a novice, take advantage of the raw material that has shaped generations.

Fugou Keiji: Balance:Unlimited
25 September 2020
Balance:Unlimited is probably one of the freshest shows I've seen in a while. I really can't think of any anime to compare it to, that I've seen at least. The closest comparison I could come up with is James Bond meets mission impossible with a little bit of Rush Hour. If you're interested in any of those franchises, you need to be watching this.

It's a consistently entertaining and fun show with over the antics, cool characters and a surprisingly good plot/mystery. The first few episodes kind of make it feel like a villain of the week type set up with the two detectives solving cases, apprehending criminals and a light tone, but once you get about halfway through the series the story really gets going and starts to shine.

Cloverworks have yet to disappoint me with their character designs, animation and quality production and Balance:Unlimited is no exception. Character models stay on point throughout and when the show calls for it, the action scenes are great. I think the OST for this one is also quite underrated, it adds a lot to the atmosphere of several scenes.

Overall, Balance:Unlimited has been one of my fave shows of the year, it's a shame the COVID 4 month delay took some of the wind out of its sails, but for those of us who did get to watch it, I think we all enjoyed.

Parasyte: The Maxim (2014–2015)
9/10
Excellent

"If you have the right to live, so do we. Granted, I believe rights are a concept unique to the human species." - Migi

Parasyte was one of the most hyped animes of the 2014 season. Not only did the anime ended up living up to most of the expectations, it completely stormed threw the anime world as one of the best and i now consider this anime a all time classic.

The characters is one of the strong points. Every character has a important role and it is executed exceptionally.

The Soundtrack is amazing. The opening and ending of the anime especially , it is just simply amazing and the song choices were spot on perfect.

Horrors , sci-fi and mystery animes have never really appealed to me. But Parasyte has influenced me to opened up space for me to explore a new genre of animes.

Overall is a insanely good and it loves ups to the expectations that it had, 9 our of 10. Parasyte, simply a classic.

Bungou to Alchemist..
7 August 2020
Story: Not going to lie, the whole "let's revive historical Japanese figures" has been done quite a few times, and to a foreigner it loses some of the appeal as we don't know as much, if anything, about them. THAT SAID, I find the story of this anime very interesting. I'm not a huge book nerd, but I found the plot unique and intriguing. I appreciate the way it explores famous works, and the impact of that literature on the world and other authors of the time period. The plot twists and inter-character drama is very *cough* anime, but fun nonetheless.

Art: Its not mind blowing, but it's very pretty and the action scenes are pretty well done.

Sound: I haven't really taken notice of it for anything in particular. :/ The OP and ED are pretty good.

Characters: More than the books, the authors are really the center of this anime, adding another layer of interest but also confusion for those who don't know much about their history. However, I believe the way they present the author's characters using anime character archetypes makes it easier and more enjoyable to follow along with their interactions. However, I fear it has not allowed for much character development, as the characters just revert back to their cliches after any emotional arcs. Though they make good use of character comedy to keep the anime from dragging too much.

Enjoyment: 8/10 I have enjoyed this anime. I learned a lesson about judging a book (lol) by its cover. And I will recommend it to friends who I think would enjoy this type of anime in the hopes that we can raise it above its current dreary 6.xx score.

Overall: 7 Not the best anime out there, but definitely worth at least some of your time, in my opinion. :)

Nice start
6 July 2020
Pretty damn good start , the first episode started by showing the protagonist waking up late at the day of tornament ( as every other protagonist ive seen in a shonen anime), the characters seems pretty good , the fight was so short but understandable since since it's just the first episode and they need to introduce us to characters and the overall environement. story : 8/10 :it has a lot ofr potential to be one of the best animes of the year Characters : 7/10 :pretty likable characters but not that much special music and sound effects: 9/10 : both opening and ending aredamn good ( you dont find a dubstep opening everyday ) and soudtracks were good and relevant for the situation . art and animation : 9/10 : it wasnt good to the level of shows like fate series or tales of zestiria , but the art was pretty unique and cool , and we got also a high level animation. Enjoyement :10/10 : i realy fell in love of this anime from the first episode and i think this show might become the star of the season and why not of the year , and im pretty excited about how webtoons will change the anime world since most of new seasonal anime became pretty boring.
