Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021)
This is the Resident Evil movie I was waiting for!
This adaptation is certainly much more faithful to the stories and settings narrated in the videogame saga. The photography and the dark setting are perfect. It is not a horror nor a thriller. It's a unique genre! The CGI is also not bad, maybe it could have been done better but it is still very good. Perhaps the ending was a bit hasty.
I noticed that in many reviews this film was compared to the film saga with Milla Jovovich, which is only remotely inspired by "Resident Evil".
The subsequent gaming chapters offer some truly fantastic stories.
I really hope this new saga succeeds!
Godzilla vs. Kong (2021)
Monstrous disappointment..!
The hype has been tremendously high. The wait long. The disappointment monstrous! The CGI sure is phenomenal, that's not to be argued, and the fight scenes are really well done. But everything else is missing. The style of the movie differs too much from that of the previous ones. The plot is ridiculous and the editing bad.
It's a watchable movie.
It could have been an epic movie..!
Brave New World (2020)
The world that may soon exist...
Brave New World isn't just a great sci-fi series, it's also a warning to us all.
The world cleverly depicted in the series is not that far from our reality.
Happiness or freedom..?
Black Narcissus (2020)
A pleasant surprise..! Unmissable!
Don't be fooled by the bad reviews! Black Narcissus is a great series that deals with complicated issues, such as inner conflicts and forbidden feelings. The photography and costumes are truly exceptional. The quality of the acting is top notch.
The Pretender (1996)
I miss Jarod so much!! Best series of my youth...
It's been a long time, but I still enjoy re-watching The Pretender every time.
Intricate plots that leave you breathless and great acting!
The Pretender was also very modern and actual, considering it's been written more than 20 years ago. I still hope in a sequel or a reboot...
The New Pope (2020)
Outstanding! The Vaticane as you've never seen..!
Very provocative and smart, "The New Pope" shows us intrigues and madness, perfectly rendered by an exceptional cast. A little slow at the beginning, but at the same time also unsettling. A must-see..!
