The Night Agent (2023)
Great Idea, One Blaring Miscast
Great story, engaging and cerebral with loads of potential to become a regular series for Netflix. The character of the actual Night Agent was very likable, with a strong moral compass and desire to do the right thing in service to his country. You're rooting for him throughout the series. Unfortunately, the character of Diane Farr is sooooo distracting you almost want to fast forward through her scenes. Whether it's her actual dialogue or the actress was "over-acting", Farr came off as overly dramatic and ridiculous. She had zero credibility as the president's chief of staff and more like a political wannabe begging for legitimacy.
Alex Rider (2020)
Loved it.
A great new series with tons of potential for a long run. Just wish we didn't have to suffer through commercials.
Beecham House (2019)
Original story, beautiful sets
Beecham House delivers a uniquely original period drama, in a word full of reboots, predictability, and post-apocalyptic doom. The set decoration and costumes bring the colorful wonders of India to life, while the story itself gave this American a bit of a history lesson. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire season and hope it gets picked up for another run. It would be a shame to see another wonderful show meet an early end.
