Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes (2003)
If you like fantasy, you'll love this game.
Now, I gave this game 10 out of 10 since it deserves higher than a 6.6. I can't believe only six people voted! Anyways, the game consists of 4 different characters (heroes) to choose from. Throughout the game, there are several different characters and monsters you encounter. For 2003, the graphics are pretty stunning. Beautiful visuals and compelling story. However the game can get repetitive and the music can also do the same. I found no technical difficulties with the game. It definitely is not as good as Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, or the Elder Scrolls series, but it is definitely worth the time to play. Especially the twist in the end.
My score: 7/10
Michael Clayton (2007)
Boring!
Michael Clayton proves to be the most anti-suspenseful, anti-climactic movie of the year, so far. I mean, I was sitting--anticipating for some exciting action to take place, but instead, a stupid car blowing up only seemed to manage waking me up. This is a really bad movie! The story is stupid and pointless, and you will easily find yourself drifting during the first 30 minutes. It isn't clever. It isn't thrilling. It's BORING! Way too serious to be a good action movie! Geroge Clooney has never tackled a movie role that actually counts for something good. He sucks! He can't act! This movie was terrible! I am so sick of perfectly good film going to waste!
The Invasion (2007)
Artistic and entertaining!
Although I have never seen the original "Ivasion of the Body Snatchers" movie, this film definitely turned out to be one of my favorites of 2007. The story is incredible, propelling the action into many intense sequences. Kidman and Craig both offer outstanding performances, and they were the perfect roles for this film. I am surprised to see that this movie received ratings in the 6's on IMDb. Absolutely ridiculous. I am a writer, so I found the script to be excellent, and the subtext to be very moving. "Transformers" should have been the movie getting terrible reviews. But instead, it scored in the 8's. Sometimes it surprises me what America finds to be a "good movie."
Transformers (2007)
What the hell?
I cannot understand how IMDb could give Transformers an 8.2 rating. Sorry, but this movie does not deserve that kind of credit. When I went to see the movie on July 4, I was not expecting to set eyes upon a freakish mess of bad acting, boring CGI, AND ridiculously laughable dialog. Transformers is a perfect example of what not to do while making a movie. I must say, Michael Bay has absolutely no artistic eye whatsoever, and it sickens me to think that a preschooler fan of Transformers could have just as well pieced this pile of crap together. Also, the voice acting of the Transformers was abysmal, and the dialog was cheesy. In some of the scenes, I just sat in my chair--staring at the screen in disbelief. This may have been one of the worst films I have ever viewed. Because the camera angles and filming is so jerky throughout the entire movie, not only was I confused, but I thought I would start experiencing photosensitive seizures! My advice: do not listen to any of the good reviews on this piece of sh*t. I you're gonna see it, wait till it comes out on DVD. Even then, you'll find it to be a waste of money and time.
Catwoman (2004)
Not too shabby!
This movie has been loaded with terrible reviews; however, I disagree with a lot of the critics. This movie, yes, does need much work on the story, and some of the special effects can be a little sloppy. The wonderful thing about this film is the camera angles, the style, art, and the unique way that it was filmed. In the opening scene with the camera angle panning over the cityscape is absolutely amazing looking! And when Catwoman jumps out of a window, the camera angles and choreography/movements are jaw-dropping. I have watched this movie like fifteen times just for the visuals and interesting music. Pitof's artistic sense is very very exceptional, but the writing should have been done by someone else. I know 7/10 is very generous, but I want to give Pitof some credit for putting in some new and original ideas, that really turned out wonderful on screen. Halle Berry's acting is a bit forced, although she plays Catwoman better than she does Patience Philips. Sharon Stone does an excellent job on screen, and still looks hot even in her late forties. Watch this movie for the visual and special effects, and tie it together with the music. This is more of an emotional film, and many people do not appreciate the artistic sides of movies. This film has very wonderful color and defined views. It is cleancut, and overall, and enjoyable movie to watch.
Solaris (2002)
What? I felt like I was on drugs!!
This movie sucks. There is no music and the acting is bland. I don't understand the story and the characters have no connection. I could have got more out of a Spanish soap opera. This movie is so bad, you won't want to see any of George Clooney's other movies. Georgie shouldn't even be an actor. Syriana sent me to sleep as well. His gay ass should be thrown out!! Terrible actor. WHAT A WASTE OF FILM, AND TIME!! I HATE SOLARIS, THE MOVIE WANTS TO MAKE ME THROW UP AND S*** AT THE SAME TIME!!! THIS MOVIE IS UNUSUALLY CREEPY! MAYBE BECAUSE IT HAS RANDOM BITCHES POPPING OUT OF NOWHERE. The scenes switch from space to earth leaving you GASPINGLY confused. One moment you see a woman coughing up gray fluid, then you see her lying naked next to George's fat ass! What the f*** is Solaris anyway? Hell? A distant planet? THIS MOVIE SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Annapolis (2006)
Unbelievably Ridiculous!
This film is just about one of the most lifeless, messiest films I have ever seen! The acting is mediocre, and the story is abysmal. It's about a kid who joins the army, but the whole movie is about boxing. Franco's relationship with the other characters is vapid, resulting in a lack of connection for the audience. My advice to other people viewing this comment: go see "Cinderella Man"! Much better film with an actual plot. "Annapolis" fails to live up to any kind of expectations. After watching this short, 90 minute flop, you'll feel dazed and confused!! This movie has absolutely nothing to do with the military, and I think it is rather UNpatriotic. A complete embarrassment!!
Resident Evil (2002)
Zombies thirsty for blood!
Milla Jovovich has a lot of talent, and has a very toned, HOT, AND SEXY body. HOWEVER, even though Milla is a great actress, and she puts loads of expression into her work, the story need much improvement. Entertaining movie (sort of), a little boring. Some scenes are good visual candy. Milla should be placed in way better movies though. She deserves better directors than Alexander Witt and Paul W.S. Anderson. Believe me, I could... no, a baby could write a better script! The only reason I watched the movie was to see Milla move around that FINE bod! The story sucks, but the acting is actually pretty good. I give it 5/10 because it has some really good ideas, but it just isn't worth watching 3 times. Watch Resident Evil 2. Much better that the first one, but still, lacks originality. Hopefully Resident Evil 3 will turn out to be the best!
Dark Water (2005)
I'd rather watch paint dry!
This movie was a piece of crap. The whole thing is slow, and it really doesn't have a strong plot or storyline. Not scary, and not even interesting. There wasn't even good special effects to cover up the ridiculous story! Jennifer Conneley is a good actress, but she stunk like ass in this "movie". Basically the story is about a mom and her daughter who move into a dumpy apartment with a leak in the ceiling. Most of the movie is based on a little "ghost girl" (how original) even though we don't see the "ghost" until the end. I could have thought up of such a better movie. This movie had no action, violence, story-- only slow drama. Don't waste your time renting this movie. I guarantee it will make your life easier.
