Entertaining, stimulating, evocative, anti-war this unusual film engages from the start and never flags all the way. A terrific soundtrack combines with a splashy palette and excellent performances all round to ostracise the Third Reich, racism and the folly of war. It manages to mix flashes of humour with some very sad and strong war imagery and a tremendously realistic and movingly tragic snapshot of what the Fall of Berlin would have looked like.

Disjointed and disappointing reheat of an already well worn formula

Heavily stereotyped with scenes I was mentally checking off in my mind. Action scenes were good but some escapes strained credulity repeatedly. Some of the plot twists had the same effect and there were some glaring inconsistencies especially one "torture" scene with the lamest line of the film " She's not the person you think she is".
Some good moral messages for sure but you'll feel you've been beaten over the head with them by the end.

Brilliant cast and the cars and action all filled out a fantastic story with humour, drama, excitement, suspense and sadness all in exactly the right balance.
One of the best films of the year, I wouldn't change a single thing about it.

Where to start with the issues? Buildings with beautifully fresh and smoothly sawn walls, houses with aluminium roofs, six shooters that didn't need reloading, disjointed action sequences moving at glacial speeds......
Camerawork was crude, used jerkiness and lens flare etc to no benefit.
One of the worst films I've seen in the last year, this was inconsistent, uneven, unrealistic and frankly has nothing to commend it except that it chose a story that should be told. Avoid.
