Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
Very impressed!!
Well done!! What a ride! After thirty years, it still has the gut and bravado of the first one and even more heart. Not predictable, not cliché-just the best of Hollywood telling a great story. I was so glad to see some original faces play their parts. So worth the seat at the theater!
The Search for the Real Mt. Sinai (2003)
Amazing!
So glad someone decided to actually use the Word of God to figure out where it is! Very well done!
Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)
Such a surprise!!
Samuel L. Jackson rocked the lisp!! Brutal, but a good movie. Just enjoy!
Justice League (2017)
Snyder's cut is what the movie should have been
Warner needs to understand that what made Marvel work is the cohesion of vision between the movies no matter who directed it! This version isn't even close to the real story. It leaves holes in the backstory on several characters and is feel good at best.
Aquaman (2018)
Should have stayed with Zack Snyder's vision
While I do like the look and the actors are really good, the vision and cohesion of the DC world needs is and should be under Zack Snyder. Honestly, his vision of the Justice League and the players in it is right on and more solid than anyone elses. Aquaman is no exception. The character created in Zack Snyder's version (within Justice League) fits better with who he is. Even Mera's story doesn't fit. What made Marvel work is the vision despite different directors. If DC is going to work, they have to have the same vision.
Faerie Tale Theatre: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1984)
My Favorite of them all
I watched this series when I was a little girl. I always loved this particular episode. In the years that followed, I would recognize the actors in this episode in some of my favorite series and films!! Still
wonderful performances by Ms. Redgrave and Mr. Price. It now makes sense to me why "Cora" on Downton Abbey reminded me of "Snow White"-because she was!
Paranormal Caught on Camera (2019)
Intriguing
There are things in this world we cannot explain. No matter how you experience them, once you have, you are never the same. It's too late to tell me most of these videos are fake or mostly not real-they are. And those of us who have experienced these things are the best barometer for its authenticity. Especially when you know that there is a heaven and a hell, and that not everything can be debunked. It would be convenient, but it's just not so. Watch with an open mind.
Spectre (2015)
Daniel Craig brought back Bond!!
Daniel Craig is the best Bond I've ever seen. He got rid of the cheese and made it more tongue-in-cheek. He is exactly how I always imagined Bond to be from the book to the screen. Thank you, Mr. Craig for reviving my love of this series! We will miss you! Also, the score is best I've heard for Bond-Thomas Newman, I love your sound and your work!!
A Haunting on Dice Road: The Hell House (2016)
Real and authentic
Steve (Prozac) Shippy, don't stop making these documentaries!! You have some of the best investigations I have ever seen regarding the paranormal! There is a spirit world around us. Be careful with using a Ouija board-that's not a safe object at all in any way.
The Accountant (2016)
Why is Anna Kendrick in this movie?
I like Anna, but she is in the wrong role. Either that or Ben is. But since Ben is believable, and everyone else is cast right, Anna is the only one out of place. This is a great movie otherwise. It's intriguing and interesting. I like Ben in a non-charismatic role. He does the savant well. Maybe less chatty with Anna, since that wouldn't happen as immediately as it did here. And Anna...girl, wrong role!!! You have to stop this cycle! It's the same role as "A Simple Favor." Which was a better role for you-not this one. The director needed someone more aloof and a tad strange. That's not you. It's a compliment, not so much a criticism.
Like I said, great movie otherwise.
