Settlers (2021)
NOT a Sci-Fi, Depressing and Yes, Pointless
Please don't advertise a film as sci-fi when it lacks any science. Just another Tuesday in the desert shooting a pretended distant planet.
Although we don't always have to have the typical Hollywood ending where the good guys win, this was anything but. Just depressing.
The acting was ok, but the story should never have been funded in the first place. Leave it in the fireplace where it belongs. What can we take away from this film for entertainment or wisdom? Try to void Mars when traveling? What would you do if trapped on Mars with no prep for protection? Yeah, pointless is right!
And what's Sofie doing in a movie like this anyway? Shame.
Mind Blown (2016)
Blows alright
The single and only redeeming quality of this truly insulting poor excuse for a so-called movie is the production design. The occasional special effects is pleasing to the eye.
The rest? Flush it down with the crap it belongs with. What gets me is the insult of making such a rip-off of concepts and story, and less than amateur acting, and passing it off on the public like we don't see right through it. Who is this made for? Drugged teens similar to the writers and producers responsible? Just insulting.
Koma (2019)
Rinal is great! Awesome concept.
Rinal also plays in Attraction 1&2, and he's great. How they pulled off such great visual effects is mind bending.
Tenet (2020)
Genius filmmaking
There are the occasional skips in the plot that are less than realistic. But given that, the very concept and execution of this film is nothing less than genius. A new and bold twist on the time travel theme, good guys, bad guys, and they might use time to interact in conflict. I watched it 3 times so far, and each time it get deeper and better.
001LithiumX (2020)
A noteworthy statement of the future
You wouldn't watch this for the cast or acting or production design. But if you follow the implications of this story, it certainly makes an important statement of things that are already happening, and are likely to get worse as civilization enters deeper into the computer age.
The Debt (2010)
Superbly acted
Great cast superbly acted film. Not my favorite subject matter, these Nazi WW2 themes, but not being a war movie, it's correctly categorized as a spy film.
Das letzte Land (2019)
Final Movie
Don't waste your time. No plot whatsoever. No character development. No questions answered. No reason to watch it.
Solaris (2002)
Thinking man's sci-fi
No, I didn't read the book, but the movie is great. Not action certainly, and not merely a love story at all. Poses important questions about morality in the face of unexplained phenomena. I watched it twice. Better the second viewing.
