Gotham Knights (2023)

not bad for a pilot

I can't lie, I was kind of impressed! The plot actually looks tangible, I can't get over the fact that people actually think a bunch of kids killed the batman, the way everyone in gotham just accepted it was way too unrealistic for me but again it's fiction so who cares! The joker daughter seems by far the favourite so far for me, I laughed when I saw robin, wtf! The show is lucky I enjoyed the plot, if not I would have dropped it, and the fight scenes in meh! Guessing a lot of budget didn't go into that, the cast looks great tho, I will keep watching which I was not expecting.

I remember clowning the show when I watched the trailer, but somehow it has me hooked! Let's see how it goes for me.

Kindred (2022)

Was not expecting much but I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the series is a good show and I fear might be underrated, I didn't like the actor that played Kevin tho, it's like the dude can't act, thankfully the plot carried the show, the acting was very good especially from the lead female, she embody the character. Made it way too real for me, I know the slavery stuff might be too much for some people and I really don't know how to express my thoughts in words but it was crazy, hopefully we get a season 2, can't leave me hanging like that, my brain might overload from thinking what happens next.

The Summer I Turned Pretty (2022– )

freakishly good

This is definitely going into top 10 best teen show of all time at least in the 20th century! One major part was the minimal inclusion of woke stuffs I hate watching in other teen shows, an actual love triangle that's done very well with casts that know how to act, also laughed a couple of times, the show is all round great and wholesome! Hoping soon for a season 2.

Players (2022)

I am no gamer, Never even played league of legends once in my life but this show is so good, I feel like it might be a positive boost to the gaming industry! The plot, story, suspense, comedy have been mixed all together so well, it's like watching a reality show but way better!

I honestly don't get it, I thoroughly enjoyed the show especially how good the kid actors were, they acted so well, I've never read the book so I can't judge both, all I know is I enjoyed this.

Like that's pretty much the only thing good about it, who wrote this? The plot was so nonsensical, probably the first episode was alright but the rest was a bore, had me questioning the characters choices a lot, also so many plot holes, a lot of things weren't adding up or making sense, yea it had some feel good moments and some scenes that could make people with one brain cell all teary eyed but the plot had me freaking lost! The show is not for me, probably could be for you...

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022– )

It's like so unbelievable good! The everything about it from graphics, to the plot, characters etc are blended perfectly well, am not like a star trek nerd and i don't what's going on most of the time, i feel the show is a continuation of something I've no idea of, all I know of star trek are the movies, I know there's an OG series but I've never seen one episode of that, either way am going to make sure I research well and be up to date with everything star trek now because of this show...

The 7 Lives of Lea (2022)

Just finished the show, I loved it so much that it took me almost a week before I saw the last episode cos I was so afraid for Lea but it ended well, the cast were phenomenal, the plot was so intriguing and it kept you guessing till the end.. I don't see it getting a second season, but if it does, I will be over the moon.

Tokyo Vice (2022– )

The show is good, while there isn't really much action, the plot keeps you glued in, most of the reviews i have read here has been laughable! The show is actually based about a white dude who worked for a newspaper in Japan, it's not Hollywood trying to just add a white guy, the Jake dude actually exist in real and this is actually a true life story with fictional stuffs tho, and also y'all should stop complaining about the English. 90% of the show dialogue is in Japanese and I seriously don't find any issue with it apart from some Japanese trying to speak English which sometimes sound incoherent to me, apart from that am good! The show is actually dope, and am actually finding that Japanese are actually cool people with a lot of mature lifestyles, anime has had me thinking stupidly of them, the yakuzas are scary AF.

The Gilded Age (2022– )

Everything about this show is amazing! From cinematography to dialogues to acting to pretty much everything! Now am not American nor versed in American history to point out the errors and whatever, am just here to watch a good show and I can understand if someone has issues with the historical facts but it's a show! It can't be perfect.... one thing I disliked tho was obviously the ending of episode 1, be unique America! We get it, but I just wish it wasn't there, it's a generic and boring plot! No one wants to watch another forbidden love storyline...

The Legend of Vox Machina (2022– )

How the hell does this show have a 9/10 rating on imdb? Am I watching it different or what! Come on, this show is crap, don't you dare compare it to castlevania... there's no iota of world building in it, the dialogues are just annoying, the humour is so bland and forced, this looks nothing like the trailer! Avoid this nonsense! Meaningless violence all over the place.

The show is actually good, I was not expecting that..Lol, considering it was john cena and DC shows tend not to do it for me sometimes, glad I was proven wrong, HBOmax is the best place for DC shows, try not to bring cw shows to it maybe apart from superman and Lois.

I mean it's a teen show about kids who sing, my expectations for it were not that high. Kinda struggled with the first three episodes, the sometimes nonsensical plot here and there etc but it was worth watching and passing away time, have never watch the original and probably never will, I doubt it's any better than the reboot! Like I said I wasn't expecting anything grand or game of thrones level of acting, it's a teen show about girl dramas and boys! The songs were great tho especially the ones MJ sang.

All or Nothing: Juventus (2021)

One of the best I've watched of all or nothing. It was also great watching ronaldo, I recommend it to everyone. It's really good. It has a lot of emotions, setbacks and rise up! Stuffs I love seeing in a all or nothing series.

Am not a fan of basketball but for this show I am! Episode 1 was a bit shaky for me but the rest just cemented it!

Have been watching a lot of teen shows that came out this year but none has interested me so far but this show hit all the feel good spots, the dialogue are greats, the choice of background music is really good, the family, drama etc! All I think is very well mixed into the show well, it also talks about a lot of issues and I know some people might not like to hear them, but I think it's balanced, everyone whether it be race, religion or whatever woke stuff out there all get their shine! ...it's nice watching a show where someone has a goal he wants to achieve and works hard for it.

Threesome (2021– )

I recently watched a show similar to this called Sex/Life, I hated it and found it really dumb but the way this show went about it was infinitely so much better! I was so invested from start to finish, and the acting was so raw, it felt so real... I so much hope for a season 2 but I doubt it, either way I would love to watch this actors again especially the two main leads.

Gossip Girl (2021–2023)

The ratings do not do the show justice, I think this is kinda good and it's too early to judge and compare with the OG show but I think this gossip girl first episode has gotten my attention... to be honest, I liked it more than i expected, society has changed and the show reflected that, back then in gossip girls, all the characters were straight as an arrow but I guess the LGTBQ whatever just reflect schools in America today, also one of the reason I liked the old gossip girl was the mystery of the blogger, this show doesn't have that but I think it still works in the new show!

Y'all should give it a chance, my younger sis liked it and she's never seen the old one, I think the only people who'd have a problem with the show are people from the OG gossip girls, also loved how they paid homage to the old characters.

So Not Worth It (2021– )

Am a casual kdrama fan, saw this on Netflix and was mind blown, the diversity in this cast is beautiful, a lot of cringe relationships but the good type of cringe, the comedy in the show is amazing and I couldn't stop laughing, hyun min and sam are by far the two funniest lads on this show, also loved how they addressed a lot of touchy topic in south Korea like cyber bullying etc, hoping for a season 2.

Shadow and Bone (2021–2023)

I quite enjoyed the show, well at least the first four or so episodes, the rest were boring!

I also enjoyed the character development especially between the main characters, the romance was cringy but bearable.. there were quite a lot of characters to focus on, just like how GOT does it, only difference is I barely remember their names in this show unlike GOT where I know everyone's name! Why? Cos the characters in this show are forgettable! I did like jasper tho, the dude is alright...... also what's up with the allegiance in this show, people changing sides in a second, the betrayals in this show were annoying, lots of plot armour too, imagine all the side characters and not one of them dead especially the finale where they were in that ship, it was only the bad guys that died.

Overall I think this show is worth watching, will also be looking forward to a s2.

I actually liked the show, for a 3d animated show, it was really done well, the action scenes felt fluid and real, overall quite good. characters wise not so much, that where I have a problem with this series, no really stood out to me, no character development at all, i might understand considering the show is 23 min long and just 7 episode but I think they could have made a character stand out tho. pacing was fast too, I do question most of the characters decision making. anyway the show is quite good to while away time
