Away (2020)
Not boring, not disappointing: just a series that rewards mature, intelligent and considered viewing
It's not a shoot-em up, nor is it intended to be. It shows the strains and tensions of a long-time mission. My only 'problem' with it was the amount of religiosity, but then I don't do the 'God thing.' I can disagree with this, but respect the positions of the authors / characters. If you want something that can engage an audience over 13-years old, do try it. I enjoyed it very much. And I would watch a second series.
Netflix - if you want continuing programmes that appeal to intelligent, social class C1+, this is a good bet, as a well-produced and executed series.

Arrow: Reset (2019)
How can you fault this episode?
Everything in the story, especially, and the acting and direction, were perfect. Utterly brilliant in all respects.
The Ascent of Man (1973)
People need to be told that Bronowksi wasn't a social scientist
It is too simplistic to say that he constructed the series in a linear manner. Bronowski knew what he was doing, and he said that simple questions needed difficullt answers. But not in the space of 12 and a bit hours of televison. This was a (perfect) way in, to encourage complex thoughts, problem analysis and definition. Nothing else like it has appeared on broadcast media, certainly not the populism od Sagan or Burke.
If only he could speak today.
