Goodbye Earth (2024)
3/10
Almost no plot development
29 April 2024
The trailer really captured my interest and was looking forward to the actual series. However, I'm extremely disappointed with the end-product. This is low-key one of the worst K series I've watched until now.

The development of the plot is almost non-existent. The focus of the series was supposed to be the collision of an asteroid with the earth, and yet it is shadowed by some messy, pointless dialogues between rather irrelevant characters.

In the real world, we'd see professionally thought-out preparations for a day where all life could go extinct. What we see are scenes full of clueless people talking about unimportant subjects, and soldiers instead of doing their jobs, they just take a pi*s about this whole situation.

Conclusion: Bad, unconvincing and pointless plot. Spare yourselves and avoid this utter pile of garbage!

Not season 2, but...
23 November 2023
Some people are coming in to watch squid game season 2, but are highly disappointed that they are watching something else and call it rubbish. This is NOT season 2 of our beloved squid game, instead it's an Americanized version of squid game turned into an innocent game show where you don't get killed if you fail. This game show is great, it's full of challenges just like in the series itself where the main prize is 4.56 Million dollars. Whoever came up with this idea has maintained the original concept of squid game, which SHOULD be highly appreciated by the squid game community. Instead, it is being mocked for not being season 2. Guys, come on...

Alan Wake II (2023 Video Game)
10/10
Sophisticated Masterpiece!
17 November 2023
This is just pure excellence! All of the fans who waited for more than 10 years will have a great time playing this game. Alan Wake 2 submerges you into a world of mystery, thrilling adventure and psychological horror. Every bit of the game unfolds in a brilliant pattern that just doesn't get boring. The graphics feel almost as if you are playing a movie. The gameplay might be challenging at times, but the story makes up for it big time. Don't listen to the people who give it bad reviews, do yourselves a favor and just dive right in. I rarely buy games just for the story, and since I bought this, I can happily assure you that the money was well spent!

All in all, the second installment beats the first one hands down. I loved Alan Wake 1, but Alan Wake 2 just edges the first one, thus takes the crown from its predecessor. This game has a huge potential to win GOTY as it's just a terrific game!

A big dose of action!
1 April 2023
John Wick movies were always really great but this one moves past its limit. Nonstop action. You are in for a great surprise, and a treat, if you decide to give it a shot.

The best thing about the movie is probably the beginning as it is the key factor from which the whole purpose of the story unpacks. Moreover, a few scenes have some comedy in them, which definitely give the movie a positive edge, and make the movie stand out even more from its predecessors.

Other than that, great combat, great visuals, great narrative and most importantly, great plot!

Nothing other than a 10/10. Absolutely, utterly, bloody fantastic!

Masterpiece at its finest! Here's why.
16 December 2022
First of all, Avatar 2 is a stunning movie! When it comes down to the visuals, the viewers are invited for an enormous treat. They are gorgeous, magnificent, and absolutely breathtaking. Everything other than the actual screen simply ceases to exist. You just sit back and enjoy this piece of art.

Now let's cover the content; story. It unfolds very peacefully and lets you grasp all the details as it unpacks. All new characters are properly and precisely introduced, and all returning characters' characteristics are built upon making them even stronger, more round. Everyone in this movie creates harmony on screen and a special bond with the viewers. You are literally sucked into Pandora!

Moreover, everything is coherently explained. There are no major plotholes; perhaps none at all. It's just so cohesive. Despite the movie being a fantasy/action one, it is not bloated with any unrealistic actions. Everything portrayed is just so life-resembling; no nonsense.

Last but definitely not least, the movie's title is just spot on. If you can figure out what it means, it will make a lot more sense.

Perfect sequel. Can't wait for the third installment!

11/10.

The Sandman (2022– )

What's with all the hate?
9 August 2022
I think sandman as a series is absolutely great! Don't get me wrong, some characters are absolutely optional (not really needed), but I like the plot nonetheless. Dream's attitude and the way he talks is perfect, Lucifer could've been a bit more "demonic", but since she's a fallen angel (and the most beautiful at that), I can live with it entirely.

On the other hand, there could've been a bit more action going on and although it doesn't really keep you gripped, it does keep you entertained and wanting more.

Can't wait for season 2!

The best out of all JW movies!
8 June 2022
There are obviously some errors in the script (story), I don't doubt that, but we have a lot going on with the dinosaurs and that's what's the most important thing at the end of the day. The fact that the old characters came back isn't all that innovative, but it's a good concoction in the trilogy. The movie does keep you gripped in certain scenes, so it's definitely a good movie.

It might be a bit too predictable at times, but is that really all that important? I think this is a very very good addition to the trilogy that raises the bar! I can therefore recommend it for all dinosaur fans out there.

Promising at first
6 May 2022
Before I jump right into it, I gotta admit that I'm just on episode 3 which doesn't fully justify my rating. I will either increase or decrease the rating when I'm done with this season.

Anyway, the first episode kicked off with a big bang, very promising and wild-looking. It gave awesome vibes, kind of like Agatha Christie's "and then there were none". Unfortunately, episode 2 and episode 3 didn't really bring anything new to the table, in other words, there is absolutely nothing "plot-worthy" within these 80 minutes.

Episode 1 is more or less like an 8.5 and episode 2 and 3 are more like a low 5. Let's see how it progresses from here onward. I'll be back with a proper rating once I'm done with the remaining chunk :)

Edit: Okay, I am done with the remaining 5 episodes of this season and there's not really much I can add to my what I wrote after watching the first 3 episodes, this show definitely lacks plot build-up and a certain climax. So, in other words it's like a not seasoned steak. Bland. Or a straight line. A very huge shame. 5/10.

The finest superhero movie in years!
31 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I had very high hopes and expectations before watching the movie and I wasn't let down. This movie's plot has a perfect pace in the beginning and at the end of the movie, great characters, the idea of bringing Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire as previous Spider-men, and also almost all of the previous villains is absolutely breath-taking.

The only issue that I was having when I watched the movie is that there were too many things happening all at once, my brain could barely process it haha. However, the fact that the amazing spider-man saved MJ and partly "avenged" himself for not being able to save his own Girlfriend, Gwen, is very heart-wrenching. This scene alone deserves the 10 stars.

Stan Lee would have been proud of what he had accomplished.

Now let's wait for the amazing spider-man 3 and let's hope there is another one of these portals to bring Gwen's Doppelgänger from a different universe back to Peter to make him happy again.

10/10.

Korea have outdone themselves; masterpiece
24 September 2021
The plot is super interesting! It offers you almost identical storyline to the one of Alice in borderland, but it's even better. The characters are all round, none of them are flat. The gore is great and it does leave you on the brink of being creeped out by the events it creates. Love every bit of it. Moreover, the plot twist at the end is really well done, if you keep your eyes peeled at every little detail, you can figure it out yourself, but it's not really all that simple.

Really recommend it to everyone. Very interesting and can't wait for season 2.

As good as I expected; twists are fantastic!
26 August 2021
This show is so much better than the typical Netflix series you see out there today. This series shows its potential and uses it to the max!

The only thing that bothered me from the beginning of the first episode all the way up to the half mark of the second one is the pace at which the plot proceeded (therefore, if you thought this show is boring after the first episode ended, you should reconsider your decision and give it another try, because it just gets better and better as the the plot in the series goes on). It was a little too slow, and therefore it didn't live up to my standards. BUT, now we are heading to the positive arguments of why this show is an absolute masterpiece.

The first thing is how well all the characters played their roles. There is a great balance between them all; everyone has their own purpose. We clearly have a protagonist and an antagonist in this show, all the other characters are just a bonus to make it all feel as authentic as it is.

Furthermore, the plot starts off quite discreet and rather quiet, but as the story builds up it triggers the pace to pick up, too. With this being said, the show offers you a tense build up and a climax which will have you stuck to your screen until the series finishes.

Moreover, the plot twists it offers are just beyond phenomenal! It left me astounded and open-mouthed several times. If that doesn't ring a bell and signalise how good it must be, I don't know what does.

The feeling this show triggers is also ineffable. You have this peculiar feeling that some characters are a little shallow, but in reality what would you expect after sustaining either a tolerable amnesia or even a severe one? Not a chance.

Last but not least, I love the setting of this series. It just gives you this vibe of nostalgia, maybe that's just because the clinic is located in the vicinity of a forest and a lake.

Summary: This show deserves a score of a solid 10/10. Can't wait for season 2!

I'd prefer the first half of the movie to be a standalone hit!
24 July 2021
In my opinion the first half of the movie is really well done. The story is extremely interesting and all the characters have their purpose. You can see the real plot behind it, however the second half of the movie just throws the plot down the hill. All in all I'm still giving the movie a solid 8/10 for the effort and an opportunity for an insight into the "medieval" times!

The plot is in a slight disarray
14 May 2021
Not the worst movie I've seen, but also not a top tier list one. The plot of this movie is somewhat scattered around. There is no main focus; it lacks a certain goal to perceive which in the long run doesn't give you the satisfaction you've been looking for...

What's more, this movie's genre is undeterminable, you can assign it to either mystery, thriller or anything else really. Moreover, the twist at the end isn't really anything mind-blowing, it's definitely that one puzzle piece which is right in front of you.

Now reasons for why I'm giving it just a 5/10 are:

  • The characters are very flat. The movie doesn't give you much insight about their life, one particular "thing" is the whole attention grabber, and it's definitely too little to not contain anything else.

  • The setting is pretty dull and boring. It definitely lacks more places to be somewhat more diverse and interesting. Even though the title of the movie stands behind it, it should've still been a lot more setting affectionate.

  • The pace of the movie is way too slow. It would've been a different scenario if the movie was more informative.

  • A typical cop-menace-protagonist type movie. You'll know when you watch it :P

  • A very predictable ending.

Interesting plot, worth the time to watch it; first real review
13 May 2021
I was a bit skeptical if I really wanted to watch this movie, but it turned out a lot better than I had expected it to be. This movie stands out by far from all the other movies that also offer you a single setting spot. This movie sort of engulfs you into the fictional world and puts you into the character's shoes that treats you some stress and self-preservation from non-existent harm.

I was literally holding my head during some scenes and my heart kept pounding. With that said, the directors made a good job and definitely did something unique to make it as good as it is.

The only reason I am giving it a 9 is because the area of filming was limited. Other than that the movie is well executed and I'm definitely recommending it to anyone that wants a heart-gripping experience.

Action-packed and fun to watch
9 May 2021
This series is for all the superhero lovers out there. It delivers on so many different levels. Netflix made a good job with this series. Usually a lot of misfires happen when they try to bring all the big screen titles to their own studio and try to recreate them into their own 'Netflix originals'. This one, however, is very fun to watch as they used its potential to maximise the outcome. I therefore recommend it to anyone who's having fun with either DC or Marvel.

It's a real snooze fest
2 May 2021
The beginning of the movie seemed very promising, unfortunately the standards dropped rapidly which turned the movie into a snooze fest. I'm very disappointed that a title that had been top 10 to watch over the past few days turned out to be "not up to par". Find a different movie to watch if you have some spare time. This title is definitely not worth recommending.

I have some paranormal experience myself
6 April 2021
This series is actually reflecting some truth but it's also showing some made up content. I've lived in a house that was haunted around 7 years ago, I must admit that someone who has no idea what it's like will say that there is nothing like ghosts, but I must disagree and tell y'all that they can knock, they can move things and they can definitely touch you.

This series lacks proper proof like recordings that would prove those cases really happened. Other than that I like the idea behind this series.

First time that I'm leaving the rating out
20 March 2021
The actors aren't bad, the dialogue, the music and how the movie have been edited is fine, too. The biggest problem I'm having is the fact that the movie feels as if several directors/producers have had taken this movie into their hands to make it better and better. If you had to divide the movie into chapters, you'd be able to see that the whole plot is extremely diverse, extraneous, perhaps.

The ending of the movie is something I haven't expected, movies nowadays have somewhat predictable endings, this one might sometimes feel that you're on the right path, but in the end you might get as surprised as I got.

I'm a 23 year old guy and I loved it!
16 March 2021
First of all, the actors have done one heck of a job performing in this movie. The way they treat one another is absolutely heartwarming! The encouragement and love and anything related to a positive emotion was put on the screen for you to grab and "co-live" it (feel as if you're part of the family). Sarah Fisher and Luke Bilyk literally outdone themselves as Carley and John. A believable and heart gripping piece of story that was of course based on real events. A very high 10/10.

Well below par with a very terrible ending!
11 February 2021
This movie is one of the worst I have ever watched. I do not recommend watching it and here's why:

  • The movie lacks a proper storyline; it's basically an "innocent" trip to a beautiful place where a lot of miserable things start to occur.
  • You will be put to a test with understanding what's actually going on, who's who and why it's all happening. Basically the reason appears right at the end.
  • The movie tries to cover up the bad acting with a terrible plot twist (scratch on the car and car accident; not trying to spoil it for you all but you'll know what I mean if you attempt watching this movie)...
  • The ending is like the worst ever, somewhat predictable too!

I wasn't so sure if I wanted to watch this show when the first episode began, but the more I'm watching, the better it gets!

I'm just 4 episodes in and I must say that it keeps on getting better. Omar Sy is doing one heck of a job. I love the anonymity he has to portray in his role. It's just unique.

I hope that when I finish it, I'll come back to give it a higher rating. I just feel that there isn't enough action happening at this very moment.

Another mediocre movie!
29 October 2020
There are some ups and downs in this movie. Let's begin with the pros, well, the setting of the movie is a real bullseye! You can feel the nostalgia while watching a movie that takes place in a forest, especially in the area of a lake. It's as if you were part of that movie, pulls you into it, perhaps. Moreover, the actors (I'm quite familiar with both main female protagonists of this movie) performed really well, maybe lost the pace here and there, but overall, it was quite pleasant watching them. What's more, the dubbing was spot on, really well done!

Let's move on to the cons, the first one is the actual storyline, it is focusing on a group of kids in the middle of nowhere; cut off from the entire world and 2 "human" creatures that are hunting them down, one by one. The "human" type creatures sort of resemble the fat green monster that lives in a swamp, yes, shrek. Really disappointed with such antagonists, they aren't interesting whatsoever. If instead of those creatures we saw a killer on the loose, I'd be hitting that 8 or even 9/10. In addition, some of the secondary protagonists are just flat characters, nothing special and quite boring! Last but not least, most scenes are very predictable, so there is no wow factor.

To sum up, I do recommend this movie for the nostalgia that it builds and the setting, but definitely not for the storyline. Therefore, we are having another mediocre movie at the end of the day.

The only good thing about the movie is the actual ending
22 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
There are so many downsides, I just don't know where to begin. The cast and setting are mediocre at its best, ain't the worst but there isn't a wow factor either. The actual idea behind this movie was pretty simple and straight forward, but the execution was poor. The movie's plot is basically reflecting what humans would "technically" do in order to survive in a post apocalyptic world; kill the weakest and those who's guard isn't up. In a real world, this would most likely not be the case. Anyways, let's move forward, the the movie is severely lacking pace, it's just too slow.

The only thing I really enjoyed about the movie is the movie's climax (turning point), it was nicely done, if it wasn't there, I would probably have given a 1/10

(SPOILER: The theater type building resembles a slaughterhouse, nothing more, nothing less.)

Don't bother with this movie, it is NOT worth the time.

Just mediocre, not overwhelming!
12 October 2020
The setting is perfect, love 40s and 50s vibes in series/movies. The mood is really "warm", you feel that people cared more about your needs back then than they do nowadays. Anyways, the storyline is not as interesting as I thought. The hype was booming, so I gave it a shot. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy it as I expected. Therefore 5/10 from me. I believe there are people who enjoy such shows, this one surely ain't for me.

Not really a surprise that it's that good!
11 October 2020
I loved the haunting of hill house and therefore really anticipated the haunting of bly manor. Some of the reviews had me clinched up contemplating, but I gotta say that it does live to the expectations. It has another beautiful house, just like in the first adaptation of the series, characters are great, mostly friendly, some in fact are beyond that. Storyline is a little sketchy, can't really say much about the ending because I'm 6 episodes in.

All in all, I am giving the show so far an 8.5/10 (rounded up to a 9) for 2 specific reasons:

  • One point taken away for the fact that there weren't as many antagonists as I expected.
  • half of a point taken away for the fact that it's sometimes hard to follow, especially with the "memories" that they have. I might return and come up with another rating after I finish watching the show, entirely, but until then, a 9/10 it is!
