Them (2021)
Went too far!
This was terrifying to watch. I know and understand that horrible things like this really happened to black families , and my own children are mixed race. My problem with this series is that it portrays ALL white people as murderous, lying, monsters, who are "out to get" all the black people. Not a single white person was portrayed in a positive way. What does this say? What does this teach? It's race baiting, plan and simple. Watching garbage like this only adds to the problems in our world. How about creating something that helps, not hurts! Something positive.
Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain (2001)
Wonderful film!
Amelia is a sweet little masterpiece of a film!
All Amelie wants is to orchestrate the happiest of lives for those around her. The charm of the film is all wrapped up in the anonymous acts of kindness Amelie is able to perform for others without ever wanting any recognition. This film is a gem and one of my favorites!
How Do You Know (2010)
Funny, Quirky, Comedy
This movie is much, much, better than the reviews. Good story line if you like quirky comedy/romances that are slightly slower paced. Owen Wilson is hilarious!
Asylum (1972)
Good Old Scary Fun
I remember seeing this as a 12 year old. The last story scared the living daylights out of me! It's a cult classic with twists and turns and a lot of fun to watch.
'Salem's Lot (2004)
Sad, sad, sad
Horrible remake. Don't waste your time! The switching back and forth list me completely.
Little Women (2019)
Worst version I've ever seen
The constant switching back and forth from present to past was confusing. The heavy makeup and lipstick on the March girls when they were younger was ridiculous! Amy was totally miscast as was Professor Baer who was supposed to have been much older than Jo. Meg hurting and humiliating her husband by complaining she was tired of being poor was hard to watch., because it's nothing like the book. If you want to watch an excellent adaptation of the book, watch the movie with Wynona Ryder and Claire Danes! Don't bother with this one.
