Belle Vie (2022)
Belle Vie!
This was a great documentary!
It was an eye opener to be sure. Highly recommended to anyone who has ever wondered what it's like to keep a restaurant afloat, which is a difficult enough task even when there isn't a global pandemic. And to try to pay the bills in a city that is forcing its restaurants to stay closed? Wow, I can't even imagine.
I feel like I really got to know owner Vincent, and his wife and staff. They seem like a cool bunch of people.
Director Marcus Mizzelle did a great job on this documentary. And even though it was filmed during a very serious time, he still managed to capture a few nice comedic and lighthearted moments.
Belle Vie looks like it was a great place, and I wish Vincent the best in the future.
Bottom line: thumbs up! Highly recommended!
The Matrix (1999)
A CLASSIC!
This movie was awesome! I hope the upcoming 4th installment is good. We'll see!
Chameleon (2019)
Cool indie movie
The movie I saw right before this one was a big budget CGI film that was bloated with non-stop explosions, and it was almost 3 hours long. So it was a nice change of pace to see a cool little indie flick with real people in real places having real conversations. Modern day caper movie with a few twists and turns. Good stuff.
The Gentlemen (2019)
Awesome movie!
A movie that relies on story instead of special effects?! Almost unheard of these days! I loved it!
Shazam! (2019)
Fun movie!
I'm sick of comic book movies being so dark and depressing. This movie is fun! It's got comedy AND action. Very enjoyable.
Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017)
The Last Jedi aka The Last Star Wars movie I ever want to see
Sure, it has nice visuals and special effects, but what ever happened to story?
What they did to Luke is unacceptable. They ruined his character. And some of the plots holes that I'm sure you've seen in other reviews are definitely a problem. I'll stick to the original trilogy. This made me not even want to watch Episode 9. Sad. I used to be a huge Star Wars fan. Oh well. Life goes on. Unless you're Luke Skywalker.
