Lost: Exodus: Part 3 (2005)
My all hopes for this show sinked
I seriously cannot begin to understand why this show is rated so well. I guess it some sort of twisted nostalgia... This is not a fantasy show, this is not a TV mystery. It is a cheesy soap opera disguising itself as something different, but anyone with just enough common sense could see below the disguise and see that it is a ordinary, boring American drama happening on a mysterious island. I seriously thought things would get better in the series finale, I hoped the script will focus more on the fantasy element of the show, but no... 90% of this show is just pure cheesy drama that was seen is so many different Tv shows, with the only exception that this drama is happening on an eerie island. Really bad, I don't think I will watch season 2.
Lost (2004)
Deeply disappointed with this show, and here is why
I started watching "Lost" because it seemed like an eerie mysterious and adventurous fantasy, but soon into watching it became pretty obvious that this is just another trashy American soap opera masked in the surroundings of a mystery island. The whole first season has nothing to do with the solving the mysteries of the said island, but it is rather focused on a personal drama of the people that ended there, and that's incredibly boring. This whole script could have been an episode of Grey's anatomy, or some other trashy tv-show if you would just transform the island into the hospital. I expected much more from this show, I have no idea why it is rated so good, possibly because of some kind of nostalgia?
Lost: ...In Translation (2005)
Absolutely disappointed with the show, and here is why...

Good Omens: Chapter 2: The Clue featuring the minisode A Companion to Owls (2023)
Absolutely beautiful!
While I was really disappointed with the first episode of this season, this was quite refreshment and extremely enjoyable! The intricate exploration of morality, obedience to authority and intuitive compassion is just beautiful. The stories set in the past were amazing as they've deepened the story between two main characters as well as giving us insights about the structure of the whole fantasy universe this story is happening in. Plus, as a Whovian, I cannot hide my excitement with the fact that David Tennant's son is playing a son of Peter Davidson, it is just so well made. The humour is on point, the scenography is amazing, and everything just fits right in. The final point of feeling lonely if you're thinking and acting for yourself in a world that tries to divide you into binary shapes is just profound.
Tales from the Loop: Loop (2020)
A little predictable, but still very well done
As soon as the security guard called in to say the girl was looking for her mother named "Alma" I realised they are the same person. The plot is really nothing new in the world of sci-fi, but I still found the whole run quite enjoyable with its splendid cinematography and haunting ambience. I also think these are the best child actors I ever saw - their acting is amazing, even though at some times they appear unrealistically grown up, as if the writers forgot they are writing script with children as main characters. I honestly can't believe how many bad reviews because of the slow pacing, it looks like people nowadays think sci-fi is all about lasers and shooting robots. I prefer much more the ambience that fills you with an otherworldly impression and the emotional depth of a slow burning show than a thousand action packed blockbusters.
The OA: Angel of Death (2019)
A superb refreshment
Season 2 started strong. This first episode is more interesting to me than half of the season 1. It finally got a bit more sci-fish and more surreal which I was looking forward to. The whole story with the mysterious game reminds me of Black Mirror. Nina adjusting to a new parallel reality is really well done. I feel like I'm watching a different show, but it is a better one. Season one focused on drama between human relationships, but this season seems to be determined to focus on the mystery and the surreal base of the whole story. It is tense, mysterious and it leaves you wanting more (unlike some rather boring episodes from season 1.

To me, this is better than Dark
I don't know where to even begin... This series was highly enjoyable for me as it skilfully combined dark ambience, mystery, mind-bending narrative, feel of adventure and deep emotional arcs. To me, this series offers much wider palette of emotions and experiences than Dark. In Dark I felt stuck with constant fixation on the anxiety driven ambience, with little to no space for any other type of expression, but here I feel the whole story is much more balanced. Cinematography is great, sound design and soundtrack are out of this world, actors are great and there is an amazing chemistry between them. Sometimes I got a little bit shocked when I witnessed some cheesy lines or poorly executed "show, do not tell" rule, but these scenes were in complete minority and they were overshadowed by a good quality content that was everything else. The key word of this series is mystery, and I love that! Right at the point when you think you've figured something out, the story plunges even deeper into the abyss... Really wishing for another season!
The Sandman: Playing House (2022)
I really don't get all the bad reviews
So many people are saying the second half of the first season has left them disappointed and even angry. I couldn't disagree more.
Yes, it is a new story arc, but so what?
In this story arc there is much more elements I initially expected from this show (not having read the source material). The themes of dream hopping, sentient dream figures (that are not complying with the dream lord), overlapping of the dream and the real world is something I absolutely adore, and there were so many times during this episode I got literal goosebumps.
I also really like the characters that are staying in that house. Initially I thought they were projection of Rose's dreams because they are so surreal and incredible.
"Even a nightmare can dream, my lord." - bloody amazing.
The Sandman: 24/7 (2022)
Lost episode of Black Mirror
I really didn't expect this anxiety-driven, tension-building, slow-paced episode. In a way it is genius, but I would otherwise never connect it with the fantasy world of The Sandman. It really felt like it was one of the more disturbing episodes of Black Mirror.
The transformation of the characters was completely shocking. The small details regarding the general vibe of the shot were completely on point. The gore elements were crazy and unexpected. Overall it is really dark and almost grotesque, but I find some beauty can be found in those things.
I didn't come here for this, but in a way I liked it.
Dark (2017)
Overrated
Don't get me wrong, I liked the show, but I didn't find it that "mind-bending" as most of the people. I didn't find the philosophies in the show that deep because I heard them all for millions of times. "Every ending is a new beginning", oh how original and new! Also, I have a problem with the music - at first it seemed so original and creative, but after fourth episode I realised it's just the same theme repeating all over again. I mean, how many times have we heard that glissando string theme? How many times have we watched random drone footage of German forests? I feel like there is lack of dynamics because of those things. Also, there is lack of emotional palette - the whole show is based on anxiety and sometimes sadness. That's extremely narrow palette of emotions, and for that reason I find lots of characters and situations absolutely unrealistic. I liked lots of time paradoxes in the series, even though I'm pretty sure some of them are absolutely impossible (your own daughter being your mother as well), but some cycles were never even properly closed (for example we never see Jonas getting Mikkel into the caves, we only heard about it from Michael.)
So, all in all it was interesting, but not as much as I hoped it to be after so many great reviews.
Arcane: League of Legends (2021)
WOW!
The only reason I am giving this show 9/10 is because I have problem with popular music from our realm playing inside a fantasy world. When I watch shows like this I wanna feel like I'm transported to a completely different world with completely different culture - and this pop music ruins that feeling. Otherwise the show is just perfect. The sexiest, most epic, most intense thing I've watched in years!
Doctor Who: Flux: Chapter One - The Halloween Apocalypse (2021)
Finally!
Finally a Chibnall episode that feels completely like Doctor Who!
Major plot, great directing, the acting seems better and there is an overall feeling of familiarity which was not the case with previous episodes.
Doctor Who: Spyfall: Part One (2020)
Finally something good from Chibnall
This episode is better than whole season 11 combined! The alien threat actually seems dangerous and mysterious, Jodie seems much more relaxed in her role, and although there was some really bad acting, the whole story was quite interesting... Still, it isn't anywhere near to the amazing Steven Moffat episodes...
Doctor Who: Demons of the Punjab (2018)
First good episode of Chibnall era
Really, this is the first good episode of Chibnall era... It was emotional, mysterious, and directed really well! I really miss Murray Gold, but the soundtrack was beautiful on this one!
Doctor Who: Rosa (2018)
Touching story, but...
Touching story, but bad soundtrack (especially that pop song - I don't know how can anyone mess up such an emotional moment with something that doesn't fit in at all) and this lifeless and pointless villain ruined it... I really liked the part when Graham remembers Gran, it felt pure and honest...
Doctor Who: Fear Her (2006)
Good episode
I don't get how this episode gets all the hate and why is it so low rated, even lower than terrible Love & Monsters!
I really like the story!
