Dune (1984)
A film with great actors only could be an excellent work.
A production with Kyle MacLahlan (in his first appearance), Brad Dourif, Dean Stockwell, Patrick Stewart (!), Max Von Sydow (!!), Sting, Jack Nance and Everett McGill (those who will invited for the cast of "Twin Peaks", like Kyle), Jose Ferrer, Silvana Mangano and all the actors of this film, direct by the "maestro" David Lynch has the destiny to be a masterpiece of the Cinema of all times. And it was what have happened in general terms. It should a little better if the novel and the screenplay would only a bit more realistic But it is a very good entertainment for people that like science fiction and history at all.
Battlestar Galactica: Dirty Hands (2007)
The social quest !
The Social Quest is present among humans inclusively 148,000 years before Christ. Dr. Gaius Baltar corresponds to Marx/Engels of those times. The problem is that the conflict between the dominant class and workers was taking place in a vessel, whose crew is fighting to survive with a battle against the cylons, and the hard services could not stop under the punishment of total destruction of elite, workers and children. Dr. Gaius Baltar has his reasons in his book, but Admiral Adama leads the question with good sense. This episode is necessary because represents a ideological continuity to episode 14 "The Woman King", in which the Sagittarions are considered a form of "under-men".
Adventures of Captain Marvel (1941)
Very, very good old serial!
In my opinion, it is the finest serial ever mode. Highlighting the serial were the fabulous flying sequences. Combining a wired dummy photographed against real backgrounds in natural sunlight, with spectacular take-off leaps and landings, the final effects are still fascinating today as they were in 1941.
