Dead Man's Curve (1998)

Very Clever!

I have just finished watching this movie. Sounded good so I thought I would see it. I will never regret it. This movie has a very good script and the acting is great. This could be one of Matt Lillard's best movies. This movie starts out when Tim (Matt Lillard) and his roommate Chris find out if their roommate commits suicide, you automatically get a 4.0. So they murder their roommate and make it look like a suicide. Finally, all the events lead up to the ending of the movie. I have to say this is the best and most clever and shocking ending I have ever seen. I would HIGHLY recommend seeing this movie. I give Dead Man's Curve: 9/10, or a 4.5/5.

Jason X (2001)

It was "OK"

Jason X. This was an OK movie. Not great, but not horrible. This was a movie with not too good of acting, but an OK plot and pretty good kills. If you are expecting an Original type of Friday the 13th movie with Scary moments and a good plot, this is not for you. But if you want just a "Fun to watch" type of movie, this is most likely for you. This movie is also not for the serious horror fans. This movie is not that scary and is pretty much . . . predictable. But as I said, if you are looking for a "Fun to watch movie" with some not too good acting, cool kill scenes, and an OK plot, this is for you. I give Jason X a 5/10.

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989)

I was expecting MUCH more!

After seeing Halloween 4, I was wanting to see this movie. I was thinking to myself, after such a success from HALLOWEEN 4, this movie would have to be good, right? WRONG! This movie was the opposite of what I wanted. Out of all of the HALLOWEEN films, This and HALLOWEEN 3 SEASON OF THE WITCH are the only 2 films in the series I hated. This movie had horrible acting, Very predictable moments, and horrible kill scenes. (except for the one when they are in the barn, that was cool.) Also something that REALLY ticked me off, was the Myers house was a Mansion. WHAT IS THAT ABOUT? The only part I liked in this movie, was the ending which I will save for you to see yourself if you dare to see this movie!

Saw II (2005)

This just may be the best of them all!

I just got finished watching Saw 2. I have now seen all of them and I am just amazed at how well this movie was. I wasn't really a huge fan of this series after I had seen Saw. But I watched Saw 3, and Saw 4 and thought this was actually a pretty good series. So I heard Saw 2 was good and I watched it. I loved It. Of course, there was a lot of blood and gore in this movie. Which is good. Secondly, this movie had a great plot and acting. This movie was Unpredictable and very clever. Of course like the first one, at the beginning of the movie, you sort of have no idea why all of these people are trapped in this house, but soon it all becomes very clear. I found this movie very, very entertaining. This is now in my top 5 favorite horror movies without a doubt. If you have not seen this movie yet, I recommend that you don't rent it, I recommend you buy it right away! So in my opinion, this may be the best in the series. I give Saw 2 a 9/10

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)

Deserves a better rating

Personally, I think this is one of the best sequels in the series. It has a great plot, and some pretty good acting. This movie starts out with 2 paramedics getting killed by Myers while in an ambulance. He escapes and Dr.Loomis hears about it. He works his way to haddonfield. This is where you meet the 2 main characters Rachael Corruthers and Jamie Lloyd. Soon enough Dr.Loomis finds Myers and this is where the killings begin. Once again, I will say that this is a great plot and great acting. It has some pretty good action scenes, great and realistic kills, and everything you want from a horror movie. So overall, I give this a 7/10.

The Comebacks (2007)

This is what I personally think.

OK. When I saw the trailer, I though it would be so stupid. But when I saw it, I was wrong. About the first 40-45 minutes was pretty good, but after that, it just got old and not too funny. The acting was OK. It was a somewhat good cast and your average spoof movie. Some parts they tried to make you laugh, and it didn't. Another downfall was the movie was sort of predictable. To me in my personal opinion, this is one of the better spoof movies I have ever seen. I don't see why everybody keeps bombing this movie. Most of you just rated it a 1/10 because when you saw the trailer, you thought it would be stupid and gave it a bad rating without even seeing it. So to me, I would wait for the DVD to come out and just buy the DVD. This movie is actually good if you go to see it. So overall, I give "the comebacks" a 5/10.

Dan in Real Life (I) (2007)

Not a crack up movie, but it will give you a good laugh.

I went to the movie theater yesterday. There wasn't really anything good playing. So it was either "Bee Movie," or "Dan in Real Life." So I gave this movie a shot. There were about 15 people in my theater. Looking at the trailer, it didn't look to funny. But after the first 15 minutes, I was wrong. First of all, the movie was a little slow paced. It took about 20 minutes to really know what was going on. But after that, the movie took off. With a laugh around every corner, I found myself actually enjoying this movie. I am not saying everybody was cracking up but there were many laughs.

So overall, if you are one of those people looking for a crack-up, laugh your guts out movie, this is not for you. But if you are the kind of person looking for a good laugh, this is the movie for you.

So overall, I give "Dan in Real Life": 7/10.

Halloween (2007)

This is the reason everybody hates this movie!

One of the only reasons this movie is hated so much is because Rob Zombie chose to remake it. Everybody said, "the movie should have never been remade, it was fine the way it was." I agree. But he was not just remaking it, Rob Zombie also made a back story for about a good 40 minutes and explained more about how Michael went wrong. And Rob Zombie said he did not want this to be like John Carpenters HALLOWEEN. He wanted it to be his own vision of this movie as if Carpenters never existed. Now some things I liked about this movie was, First of all, the death scenes were great. 2nd, it actually portrayed how real teenagers act today. 3rd, this was a great plot and showed how Michaels Life was and how he became so evil. And third, for once in a lifetime, this Michael Myers actually scared me more than the Halloween movies usually do. This movie has some good acting and killing scenes, and a great unexpected ending. Overall, I give Rob Zombies HALLOWEEN, a 7/10, or a 3.5/5.
