That '70s Show: Too Old to Trick or Treat, Too Young to Die (2000)
Had a blast
One of the best episodes I have ever seen.
I almost never write reviews over here although I frequently rate the stuff (although not individual episodes). But after watching this episode, I felt like writing it.
Man, it was amazing. Vertigo, Rear Window, North by Northwest, Psycho and Birds. They really went all out here although it'd have been a lot cooler if they had used those Bernard Herrmann's screeching violins in the shower scene. (The Star War themed episodes in S1 were great too.) It gave me the feels, the music, Eric mimicking Jimmy Stewart's facial expressions and Donna as a mysterious Hitchcock blonde. A great tribute to the master of suspense. Now I gotta go rewatch Vertigo.
The Queen's Gambit: Middle Game (2020)
Boring
The first half of episode was very slow and boring. There was no proper commentary or description of her first matches or the match with the Russian boy.
Still I would have given 7/10 if they had not screwed up her most anticipated match against Borgov with Spanish commentary. Are these guys for real? Who uses Spanish commentary?
The show was fabulous till episode 2. Her match against Beltic was truly exciting. It just keeps getting worse after that.
