Unearthed (2016)
Use of present tense is absurd
I just can't keep watching this silliness. The narrator's persistent use of the present tense for historical facts is so annoying that it has become intolerable. This habit is correct when documenting authors in a research paper but not when referring to events that happened long ago in the past. He also refers to current issues with present tense with no differentiation between the two. The errors are grievous, moreover, occurring in every episode. For instance (King Arthur, the one I'm currently watching), the Holy Grail wasn't so much a cup used at the Last Supper as a container to catch the blood of the crucified Christ. Each episode has its own collection of errors; that just isn't acceptable.
Christmas Sail (2021)
Eeeeeew
How can anybody talk while smiling constantly? Her stupid inappropriate smile, no matter what the topic or mood, was irritating beyond words. I couldn't get beyond the first half hour, and that was only to see if she could manage a single scene without a Cheshire Cat grin. The story was so cheesy and that insane smile so omnipresent that I couldn't get involved in the movie in any way. Eeeeeeew. Not one of the characters was believable, and the lines were delivered with such silly robotic timing that I couldn't tolerate another minute. The little girl's sharp whiny voice caused my dog to bark at the TV set when I imitated it. This is the second new Hallmark Christmas movie in as many days to be unwatchable; the other was "The Cozy Christmas Inn." How about concentrating on quality rather than quantity?
