Finally a good made for TV movie
27 May 2003
This show was good and actually kind of funny. The show displayed her temper and that's kinda fun to watch. Cybill did a good job portraying Martha but I find it hard to think ill of Martha because she is actually a hard worker, driven by her need to be successful. This is the American way these days. Keep up the good work Martha and Cybill.

Dr. Phil (2002–2023)
Why is America buying this show?
27 May 2003
Therapy? I don't think so. All I see is a guy who likes to yell at his guests. I sure as heck ain't gonna pay a therapist for that kind of treatment so why are the networks paying for this kind of show. I was raised to believe that when a person is yelling at you - just walk away. Dr. Phil may understand psychology but he sure don't know how to treat others well. He likes to belittle others by calling them "a loser", and "you're worthless". Maybe this is for ratings but if I'm going to buy therapy it won't be from someone who puts me down.

Lisa Kudrow shines once again
27 May 2003
Place Lisa Kudrow in just about anything and she is going to be funny. Big screen, small screen, it doesn't matter. This girl is funny. She delivers her lines with such good timing that she's got it down to a T. The movie itself had a simple plot and Mira was cute in it too but Lisa carried the weight of the show. She's fun to watch on "Friends" and her big screen work is endearing too.

I miss Kathie Lee
27 May 2003
I miss Kathie Lee. She was a little older than Kelly and handled Regis far better than her. She was human. Sure she made mistakes and we all read about them but Kathie had a funny way about her. She wasn't on her way up the latter like Kelly but just in the prime of her career. I hope she did not quit the show because of pressures from executives, etc. Oh well, good luck to her and any future endeavors.

A real tear jerker of a movie
27 May 2003
I can't believe that a movie could cause such an emotional upheaval in my body. I cried because the character development between the boy and his mother was very good. Judd Hirsch did a great job as the detective willing to go out on a limb for the mother. This was a good movie back in 1983 and still a good video to watch.

American Dreams (2002–2005)
Nostalgic Nonsense
25 May 2003
Did we really need another show about the 60's? This show is dull and definitely from yesterday. The music was good years ago but we've all heard it already, right? The character development is mundane and the acting is just ok. I can't figure out if I'm watching a dramatic version of the "Happy Days" show or a copy cat of the excellent "Call to Glory" series. Come on, we know what happened some 40 years ago. Do we have to see it again, and again on tv? Let's come up with some more original programs guys!

Scrub It
25 May 2003
Funny - No. Stupid - Yes. I mean, the show moves so quickly it is hard to get interested in the characters. Zach B. is a good actor too and I think he should stick to the big screen. The other male doctors on the show are annoying and Sarah C. can't figure out what happened to her while she was on the hit show "Roseanne". I guess I'm missing the boat cause alot of the reviews on this show are good but I find it hard to care about what happens to these characters.

Today (1952– )
Please go to a 1 hour format
25 May 2003
Three hours of "Today" is just too much! One hour would cover the current events and maybe some cooking too. All of the celebrity interviews and such are just tiring to watch. The celebs look worn out too cause it's so early in the morning. Also, please move Al and Anne to the head of the class. They are classy and very appealing and should be heading up this show.

Applause for the celebs
24 May 2003
Come on guys, lets give a hand to the celebrities that appeared on this show. I mean, they did it for charity and no matter how lame it may have seemed, it was for a good cause. The other reality shows are for people who want the $$$. It was unselfish of these celebs to give of their time (publicity aside) for charity. Keep up the good work, and Melissa - stay nice - you are a good girl.

Will & Grace (1998–2020)
Serious comment, sad show
24 May 2003
This show has only accomplished one thing: To perpetuate the stereotypes about the gay men in America. Don't get me wrong, many gay men act like Will and Jack, however, the good ones don't. If you are going to have a character like Jack belittle other men for not being good looking enough for him, then you should at least make the character of Jack good looking. Will whines throughout the show about not having a boyfriend, pretends not to be as superficial as Jack, and then seeks out the poster boys too. Karen is able to only insult others, as I see it. And if you see Megan M. on tv in interviews, she is very boring and seems very distracted. Grace, Debra M., is a sweet girl who is too good to hang out with the rest of the gang. She would fare better on the big screen. In a parallel universe Sean would be cruising the streets for God knows what, Eric would be managing a Perkin's and Megan would be a bartender at a local pub.

It's sad that a show that aired briefly on CBS entitled "Some of My Best Friends" didn't get a chance to walk. Sweet, innocent and interesting, the show would have eventually captured an audience of kindler, gentler people. My only hope for W & G is that it will tone the writing down and capture a nicer side of the characters.

The View (1997– )
Please: Stop being caddy
24 May 2003
Believe me, I like all of the hostesses on this show. I think that they are probably nice people in real life. So, please girls - don't be so caddy. Ok, I know you need to talk about current events. This is about the first 20 minutes of the show. However, can you please present the current events in a classier fashion, instead of the manner in which you discuss the subjects - tearing them apart - piece by piece. Appearing nice on tv goes a long way, and you just may enrich your soul in the process. Thanks.

The Rosie O'Donnell Show (1996–2002)
Great guests
24 May 2003
The best thing I can say about her show is that she for the most part had good, main stream, "pop culture friendly" guests on. The best thing I can say about Rosie is that she is probably a cash friendly genius. I mean, she managed to create a talk show based upon her childhood dream of meeting celebrities. She is the ultimate "groupie" and made no bones about it. She's a smart gal and should retire, live privately and laugh all the way to the bank.

Friends (1994–2004)
"Friends" has been a friend to me
24 May 2003
Many a day I have been sad and lonely and the only thing to look forward to was "Friends" at 5:30 (in syndication). Cute and likeable and never pretentious, the characters are fun to watch. At times they may seem a little animated but what the heck, who wouldn't laugh at Phoebe's quick witted and sometimes innocent comments. Friend's is a real "spirit booster" and the actors are pleasant to watch.

The best disaster movie of all time
1 July 2001
I was a little boy when I first saw this film. My mom had objections because of the mature subject matter, however, I convinced her to allow me to see the movie.

GREAT MOVIE. I mean great!!! The women in this film (Stella Stevens, Carol Lynley and Pamela Sue Martin) are beautiful. The special effects are awesome and fun to watch. The song "The Morning After" is a classic that just adds to the allure of the show.

The acting, especially Gene Hackman, is just so very natural. Gene encourages the passengers to reach from within themselves to find the strength to move forward - to survive and to thrive. A message that I still remember in the struggles of my life.

Every once in a while a movie comes along that makes an impression on your life and it does not hit you until sometime later as time passes. "The Poseidon Adventure" is just that film. I hope that all of the stars of this film are doing well and still entertain audiences. Best wishes to each and every one of you special people.
