Halloween 2 (Fan Film) (2015)
Halloween II: Sequels Needs Some Work
Following up to the smashing hit, Halloween II takes place two years after the first. We're introduced to a guilty, traumatized Laurie, struggling to get by.
Though Halloween II feels like it rushed production, it still manages to be entertaining. Not as many kills or as much action, but the effects still hold up.
A very slow paced film, that kind of differs from the in-your-face slash and stab horror of the first film.
However, Samantha Naslund and newcomer Anna Kessler both deliver stunning performances as Laurie and Kristen.
Halloween (2013)
Halloween: Incredible Fan Work
Halloween is yet another reboot/retelling of the infamous Michael Myers story. Even though we've all seen it before, Dakota Miller's take still manages to surprise us.
With an excellent performance from Samantha Naslund, and excellent directing and story writing, this film is fan work at its best.
Halloween never feels rushed, and even though its budget shows, it shows well. Several great, gruesome, and original deaths line the film, as well as some pretty spectacular effects.
And no one can forget Samantha Naslund's blood-curdling scream that etches itself into your mind!
Loon (2015)
Loon: A Missed Opportunity
Brandon Tobatto's low-budget indie slasher flick features a type of antagonist rarely seen in Hollywood. A clown. It even features statistics from a study, stating how many children find clowns scary in the beginning of the movie.
However, the film does not use this to its advantage, and instead tells the unoriginal, unexciting standard "kids in woods get picked off one by one" story.
On top of that, the dialogue is poorly written, the lines are horrendously delivered, and the kills are bland and unexciting.
Failing to deliver any true terror, Loon is a choppy, undershot missed opportunity.
