Great Made For Tv Mini Series!
21 August 2020
I can't believe some reviewers have given this mini series such low ratings! True the movie doesn't hold a torch to the book, but that being said, I don't think anyone who's ever read ANY book first and then seen the movie version afterwards can say they didn't leave anything out. To be honest, I read the book a long time ago & thoroughly enjoyed it. When they showed the mini series on tv, I was also a little disappointed that so much had been left out but as with any book turned movie there are always things either left out or changed. They would have had to make the mini series much, much longer than it was. (Which would have been fine with me!) And let's not forget it was made in 1990. Just keep an open mind & don't expect the movie to be 100% identical to the book! While I agree some of the casting was hit or miss, IMHO, Vincent Irizarry was fantastic as Gino, Sandra Bullock as Maria, Michael Nader as Enzio, Phil Morris as Steven, & Nicolette Sheridan, while I never envisioned her to play the part of Lucky, she IS beautiful and she totally nailed the sexy, smoldering thing that Lucky always seemed to have going on. Now can we please talk about Tim Ryan as Lennie Golden for a moment? Holy moley, he looked as well as played that part to the tee - perfectly! He has that boyishly handsome charm about him & that sexy smile and laugh of his made me wish I was Nicolette Sheridan every time she made out with him! Talk about "lucky!" 😄 I was so bummed out that Tim didn't play Lennie in the sequel, Lady Boss. The other guy didn't hold a candle to him! I came on this site to see what else he's played in so I could see more of him. Bummer he doesn't play in more movies so I can lust over him longer than just short clips! 😁 It's too bad Jackie Collins has passed on since she was always one of my favorite authors. It would have been nice to see a lot more of her books turned into movies!

Please, Please Make A Sequel!!!!!!!
17 March 2019
This is without a doubt THE very best Christmas movie ever from Hallmark! Great cast, great acting! Come on now - who doesn't love Fonzie? And Brooke Burns is so beautiful & Warren Christie is so totally HOT!!! Wish they would make a part 2! This is a beautifully lighthearted story which is also comic at times. I couldn't even guesstimate how many times I have watched this movie because I have watched it over and over again throughout the years. I'm talking like Sept.-Oct. til around Feb.-Mar. Yes, IMO it's THAT good! My DH says this is the only Hallmark Christmas movie he likes and has watched it with me a few times that says a lot for him... Even my MIL watches it over and over again. She loves it that much, too. As a matter of fact, this movie is probably the only thing we both agree on!! lol

Good Movie To Watch At Least Once
9 November 2018
I wasn't too sure if I was going to like this movie or not, but I thought I'd at least give it a shot. It definitely wasn't the typical sugary sweet movies that Hallmark is known for (while I confess I do like watching some of them). :) This one did have the somewhat sugared ending, but at least had enough drama and suspense added in to keep you intrigued. Oh yeah, Thomas Beaudoin (Daniel) isn't too hard on the eyes either! I would watch it again for him alone! ;)

One of the Worst Hallmark Movies Made!
30 December 2015
This movie truly deserves no stars (IMO, that's how terrible it was!), but since I unbelievably forced myself to watch it to the end, I will unbelievably force myself to give it one star! But that's only because I can't give it anything less than that! I really wanted to like this movie since I noticed it had the same similarity as While You Were Sleeping starring Sandra Bullock. While that movie was a little silly at times, at least it held my attention throughout and Sandra Bullock, Bill Pullman and the other actors were more believable. This one was just a total train wreck! I found too many of the scenes just so downright ridiculous, I wondered if the writer was half asleep when she wrote the script!

The way how Will proposes is stupid and the way how Alice responds is even more stupid! Will never gets Alice's messages after she leaves, yet he somehow manages to get the doctor's! And Alice never once thinks to try calling him when she gets to the house! She makes a total goof out of herself trying to eat a frosted cookie by getting it all over her mouth, and after Matt wipes it off her mouth with his finger and then sucks it off his finger was just really gross! I mean come on, couldn't they have thrown some napkins on the table for the two of them to use? There were plenty more ridiculous or irritating scenes, but I would be here forever telling them and how bad the acting was! And for Alicia Witt's character, they could have/should have made her look a little more presentable. Especially since she was a business women who owned her own store, she could have fixed her hair, wore some make-up, nicer clothing, etc.

Yeah, I'll admit I am a sucker for some of the cheesy Hallmark movies and chick flicks but I'm sorry, this one was a complete and total flop!
