Boss Level (2020)
Thanks TikTok
For weeks I have been seeing clips of this on TikTok and I was hesitant to watch but today I decided to give it a go and it was worth it. The lead actor was good and nothing seemed cheesy or forced. Some things were repeated a bit but that added to the quality and didn't seem like filler. In fact they could have almost made a mini 4 part series.
I would recommend this to anyone that likes action with a bit of humor. Characters were fun and they were all included just enough.
Closing statement is just filler that is written to meet the ridiculous requirements set forth by IMDB in order their minimum.
A Man Called Otto (2022)
Great adaptation!
Having read and listened to the book and watched the movie made in Swedish I thought I could not get much more out of this media, I was wrong. This movie was so well done. The interaction between Otto and Marisol was spot on and it brought up all the same emotions that I experienced when I read the book the first time (which was great). The movie was so close to the book I felt I was living the scenes.

House of the Dragon (2022)
Dark, not it a good way
I have tried two episodes and so far it has been filmed too dark which makes it difficult to even see facial expressions. I was just watching the scene with the king's daughter talking to the potential king's mother in law. The potential was facing the daylight and you still could not see her facial expressions. Then there is the pan up to Dragonstone before the egg discussion, way too dark.
I think this could be an issue with actors that can't convey any content with their face or we are watching a very expensive audio book.
Not really sure it's worth investing any more time with, will try one more episode.
Prey (2022)
Predictable at best
How can the predator species, in early 1700s, not have all the same tech as they did in the original? A coyote was able to draw blood but the first special forces team in the original couldn't stop it then? Then you have a defiant teen that ends up needing the most help until the very end, after everyone else dies, and defeats the Predator. Come on, not very reasonable. I can hunt like everyone else, I'm not going to pick roots I am going to get in trouble, have a search party come for me and get them killed.
Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Presented in 4.3
What a waste, 4.3 is old and should never be used. What a complete disappointment. The extras are good, but come on 4 f'n 3, really. NEW TEXT HERE: here is the joke, my initial post was too short. Just like 4:3.
Moon Knight (2022)
To much mental confusion
I have seen too many products with someone who has multiple personalities and they manifest into the primary character and they are never done well. Too bad, I really like Oscar Isaac.
Reacher (2022)
Good first season!
Considering the source material they followed it very well for the transition to TV. It's modernized enough but holds pretty true to Reacher's hobo lifestyle. Alan Ritchson is a perfect fit for the role, nicely done! Lots of books in the series, can't wait for new seasons to roll out!
The Fault in Our Stars (2014)
Ansel Elgort
Ansel was totally great in this movie. His timing and facial expressions make the dialogue cause you to be happy and rip your heart out at the same time. In today's world of character based followers he is a movie icon worth following and I can't wait to see more of his work.
World War Z (2013)
Good but...
I enjoyed this movie and it has me thinking about the situation today with Covid-19. The only drawback was the two children, they were too much of a burden during the escape.
Cowboy Bebop (2021)
Fun and a little quirky
I wasn't expecting the original but this was good In it's own way. Has action, humor, drama and some well fun actors and actresses. Can't wait for a second season and glad that Netflix has the original too!
Big Timber (2020)
So so, lead is bleeding money
The owner is ridiculous, bad for the environment and causes more conflict. Had to stop watching.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)
Fun with the exception of ...
... Dawn. A whiny voice where a young teen should have never been added to the story line.
Firefly (2002)
Simply put, the best show ever!
This was just an absolutely awesome show and should have never been canceled. I still imagine what many of the story lines could have been and the comedy/adventures that we all lost out on.
I Care a Lot (2020)
Good Movie
This was good and didn't miss as some suggested. Rosamund Pike carried this movie very well, thanks!
Chick Fight (2020)
Simple fun!
Went into this as a random Prime selection and it wasn't that bad. Stop action fights, comedy, cheesy lines and not too slow.
MeatEater (2012)
Got me back hunting
I started with the Podcast and then I realized they were talking about their show too. Only wish they were all on one platform. Totally awesome with one flaw, they don't hunt in New England.
Arrival (2016)
Overrated
2+ hours of my life I wish I could get back. My review was too sort so I added this last sentence to meet the minimum requirement for a review.
White Tide: The Legend of Culebra (2018)
Glorification of a stupid criminal.
The piece was put together well but the characters and story were weak.
Serenity (2005)
Great finish for Firefly
Stands on it's own but when viewed after the short lived but great series Firefly it shines!
Angel (1999)
Had a lot and will last
Drama, horror, comedy, recurring characters, great writing, stand alone episodes and more. An all time favorite for me!
Constantine (2005)
Good Stuff
The kind of movie I can rewatch, good story and acting.
Ava (2020)
Meh
Peppermint was somewhat believable, this not too much. Also, if the lead is going to be shown jogging, they should at least look like they can run and not just plod along (kinda like this movie)
