Halloween II (2009)
Mr Zombie puts the final nail in the coffin!!
Well ,well ,well what can i say, what a mess, The film does not feel like a halloween movie, apart from the opening sequence there is no suspense at all! Rob messed up the story just so he could include his wife in the movie!,terrible idea, get your own acting job sheri and stop relying on your husband for work. The characters have no depth and Rob puts too much of his Gothic rock vibe to the picture!
hmmmm what else can i say... horses, white dresses, Michael grunting when he kills, pathetic Dr loomis character, no scares at all= the worst Halloween movie ever! shame on you Rob for unleashing this pile of rubbish on the public!!
Halloween II (1981)
The quietest hospital in the world!!!!
All i can say is what a pile of rubbish!!this film is so boring and has little suspense,i love the original Halloween and a few of its sequels(Hallowen 4 and H20) but this is just dull and almost as bad as Halloween Resurrection. It could have been a great follow up to a classic original but those making it were more interested on cashing in on the original than trying to make a worthy sequel. I mean Haddonfield memorial has to be the quietest hospital in the world! Where did all the staff and patients go, if only my local A&E was so quiet! and Jamie Lee Curtis does hardly anything in this movie apart from being drugged up on medication and wearing a really bad wig. The only good point i can make about this movie is that this is the only Halloween sequel where the Michael Myers mask actually looks like the original. I give this movie 2 out of 10, and that is being generous!
Halloween (2007)
Not as bad as i expected-very good actually
I had read all the mostly negative American reviews on here and was expecting a disaster but i was pleasantly surprised.
The first act is very good with the young michael myers very impressive in his role-very convincing, the rest of the family are pretty good too,the killing scenes are quite disturbing to watch at times,as it is a young child who is committing the crimes.
The second act is michael in smiths grove mental institute, the scenes in this part flow quite well and we see michaels rage, which again is very shocking.
The third act is mostly a remake of the first film when michael returns to haddonfield to find laurie, this part seems a little rushed and we don't really get to know the 3 girls that well as a result,in the original we spent a lot more time with them, therefore we cared more for the characters.
Overall i enjoyed the movie,it had suspense, was gory and quite disturbing, and not at all as bad as some critics and reviewers have made it out to be,And after the awful halloween 8 this is a breath of fresh air!I also loved the fact that they used the original soundtrack! My advice-don't expect to see john carpenters movie but something different and you will be very entertained!
