Tokyo Vice (2022)
Great! but feel a bit scammed.
Got into it knowing nothing about it. As a Michael Mann big fan, first episode blew me away cause it had Mann's hand written al over it. Googled it up and sure enough...Mann directed it, produced it, etc. BUT THATS IT? Currently watching S01E04 and no.... Mann only had his hands on the first episode. Cmon old man!
Among Us (2019)
Cringe material
Shameful nonsensical yadda yadda targeting old housewives for profit. This is not a documentary...is almost a scam dressed as "scientific". Anyone with self respect and some knowledge on the et topic will cringe watching this.
Dark (2017)
Good, but its just a loop.
No pun intended. First and second season are great...a few shocking omg moments and the story holds up by itself. But just after the first episodes of season 3 you get that feeling that someone is trying to fool you to make you believe this series is a masterpiece. It is not. Surely is kinda complex and it seems to be complex and well thought...but the main argument its the same episode after episode, and when you realize this...the series falls short, no matter how many times it took you by surprise or it jumped the shark to stay alive. I have not seen the finale of season 3 but im already getting tired of it....its always the same: my mother is my sister is my lover its my grandma its my daughter is actually me. Its getting boring and predictable, actually. The fun part could have been the science behind all of this time-messing story...but in fact even that aspect of the script now just sounds like mumble jumble written by a 13 year old boy that also believes in flat earth. fun show, easy to follow ...but no, its not a masterpiece.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
The value is somewhere else.
Maybe its not a classic QT movie. Maybe the storyline is "not there". Maybe its dull or even pretentious. Maybe you won be at the edge of your seat till the last 20 minutes of the movie. Who cares. The value here is somewhere else.
As someone right here already said ...this movie looks almost like a new genre.
People not getting it should stick to fast an predictable netflix series. Period.
Angel Has Fallen (2019)
Actually i loved it.
Ok script, storyline, action sequences, dop, etc...but it is a really fun ride if you keep in mind that its just an action movie. liked it a lot more than the 2 previous movies.
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019)
Heart rate
I was about to trash the ones trashin' this movie but whats the point.....if you like or love the JW franchise this third installment is a goldmine: watching it...specially at the end...its like running a marathon....your heart WILLL ask for a break.
Another Life (2019)
Netflix's best joke.
Awful. As a sci-fi fan and not exactly a "high maintenance" one ( i can enjoy average movies or series), but this one started fubar. After the first 2 minutes of the first episode you already know that a ridiculous thing landed on earth and that a crew was launched to space to "talk" to the aliens to avoid earth's destruction. Ok, i can live with that. MInute 3...They wake up from the usual crio-whatever...and thats it, im done: they chat a little - still in their pijamas - and by the chat i realize that they dont know eachother...kinda "hey, whats your name?". REALLY? Then the spacecraft shakes like an old truck during a slingshot around a star...and of course, the Hal9000esque companion is an hologram who talks like a millenial frat boy. REALLY netflix? No thank you. Im not even starting the 2 episode.
