Shameless: Father Frank, Full of Grace (2021)
Worse than Dexter's and Game of Thrones' finales combined.
The ending of Shameless is just a mess. Plenty other users in the reviews pretty much nailed it. Forgetting Micky is a father, no word on Svetlana, Fiona, other family members of the Gallagher family. By season 6 you could see the decline.
I only watched Shameless as my reels, shorts and clips on social media made this to be an amazing series to blow your socks off sort of thing. And first 3 seasons were golden, absolutely like them alot. It started getting dull when clearly the writers focused on recycling old storylines, adding too much politics into a series that takes away the escape of reality.
For the showrunners to conjure this finalle, I stand by my title that it is worse than Game of Thrones Finale and Dexter's Finalle (both OG Dexter & Dexter New Blood). This 11th season is so easy to forget.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022)
Disney, The Destroyer of Dreams.
I saw She-Hulk and I am super annoyed.
She is a "Hulk" for 5 minutes and wham bam thank you ma'am she has already "Mastered" what it takes to be a Hulk. Her character is extremely arrogant, she basically tells Bruce off who is trying to help her adapt to being a Hulk. She lucked out for not having an "alter ego" like Banner & Hulk do. She also ignores the fact that it took Banner over a decade to get common ground with Hulk and gain control, the struggle he had to go through and she simply tosses it aside like oh it not going to happen to her. She also ignores the potential damage she can cause being a Hulk. Definitely won't continue watching this disaster since all I seen so far is "Smart Hulk" being the Dad Jokes of every single situation and the main character thinks everything can be solved or fixed in five minutes and ignore the mere fact that Bruce only one prototype calibrated to him.
0/10 if iMDB allowed it.
Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)
Sonic vs Jim Carrey.
Definitely a decent all-round fun of a movie. The voice actor behind Sonic is kind of growing on me after multiple viewings, making this a 9/10 for me. Majority of the hate towards this film is most likely from the first trailer when it came out that made Sonic's eyes way too small and body not matching his video game counterpart.
Jim Carry is just absolutely amazing as Dr. Robotnik, honestly could not picture anyone else playing the character. I do in fact look forward to the sequel.
White Chicks (2004)
Did not age well.
The trailers that came out for the movie were OK and funny at the time (mind you I was 13, 14 when I saw them). But now looking back it was not all the funny or great. Some scenes were just downright annoying. To this day my favorite scene is Terry Crews dancing.
Considering the time, this movie was it was okay. Good luck trying to make this movie in 2021, it will never become greenlit, it would be a lawsuit waiting for everyone involved.
The Hunt for Red October (1990)
My childhood.
This movie was made the same year as I was born. It has been one of my #1 favorite movies of all time. From the setting, it's tone and musical score. The combination is what makes it a movie I can re-watch countless times.
The Boys (2019)
Not Your Average Superhero Series ...
Here's what I like about this one.
* It has humor.
* Has Karl Urban in it.
* Gives you an idea how Superheroes could be if they did not choose the "goody two-shoes" way.
What I dislike:
* Having to wait each week for a new episode.
I thought I was done waiting by the week for a new episode of TV series after Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire, TrueBlood and Ballers. Is it the end of the world? Probably not, but since this review is written during a pandemic ... kind of hard to binge watch at home when you got to wait 168 hours between episodes ...
That said, I really enjoyed the show, and look forward to seeing more Seasons to come.
Batman & Robin (1997)
Childhood Movie Growing Up.
I watched this movie at the age of 7 when it came out. And it was one of my favorite Batman movies growing up. I prefer it over Christian Bale's version.
I have seen the reviews of both good and bad and a lot of people are ripping on all the puns this movie has. What they fail to realize is: DC Comics were based on puns to begin with. The original Batman series was full of them too so I say that is a dead argument. Now the script on other hand, well you work with what you have. Could it have been better? Probably. Are there a lot of character inconsistencies of Comic Book Counterparts? Definitely. Take Bane for example, he is nothing like his Comic Book counterpart. But I guess producers decided to make him a brute, otherwise you would have 3 intelligent people against one, two if you count Alfred, I do not count as Robin as he is still a "boy" in this equation.
Regardless of all the flaws that this movie has. It's supposed to be entertaining. There are far far worse movies out there.
