The spirit and essence of Bob Marley & The Wailers is well-told
16 February 2024
Bob Marley's presence and essence shines through. You rise, fall and rise again in this re-telling of his life. The world is going to fall in love afresh with Bob Marley and his philosophy. Simple ideals but so impactful.

The movie feels short because there is so much more to tell. If only they could make parts 2-24: I will be right here waiting.

Kingsley Ben-Adir nailed it. We love it!

My mind and spirit bonded with the main characters. I eased into the film and stayed in, not wanting to take a step out. It is told with such depth of feeling but so authentic of character. A pure spiritual experience. Still jazzed and delighted hours later.

The actors did a stellar job. We have learned so much about his life, Jamaica and the world. Pure joy to watch! Could not help dancing and singing softly all through. Finally danced my way out of the cinema!

An African review
19 February 2023
The narrator should be African, to tell our stories from the correct perspective.

African names must be pronounced in our language and intonation because they carry deep meanings.

Smacks of a colonial perspective when everyone, apart from the actors is non-African.

Expected better from Netflix.

Netflix, Africa must tell her own stories. That is a deal breaker. We can no longer turn a blind eye to the foreign telling of our history.

Glad you have begun to share our stories pre and post slavery and the fact that's we fought for our freedom and independence for over 400 years.

Some of us are still fighting today.

Gripping series
25 January 2022
Stories well told and executed. Gripping stuff and one of the best on Netflix. Good balance between fun, some funny, martial arts and action. Just when you think the bad guys cannot get any worse, they surprise us. I hope there are many seasons to come!

Well told and acted
26 December 2021
Mwaura Bilal as the Komu takes us on this very intriguing journey of the dark side of city life. We fall in love with his gentle nature and feel his joy, pain and anguish, even his desperation. Chris Kamau was a cool bad guy. Shix Kapyenga plays the ideal girlfriend who we want to keep safe from harm. Great screenplay and fun characters., especially Komu's parents. Now this has set a new standard.

Well worth watching

Great medical drama, with well relatable characters, good focus on the medical challenges, draws you in with relationship drama and just the right flavour of comic relief. It gets better as the season goes on. Watching episode 10 and thrilled.
