Chamak (2023)
A Riveting Reflection of Music's Underbelly
Chamak is all things shiny and sincere served with rocking performances, banger music and cameos that will leave you surprised. Its an important show because it raises a pertinent and long lying question, is it fair to kill our artists on stage? The show is a sincere attempt and collectively portrays a thrilling story of revenge, drama and emotions. Dont miss Chamak on SonyLIV
This film is brilliantly intertwines the world of Punjabi music with a narrative that delves into the darker corners of the industry. Paramvir Singh Cheema's portrayal adds depth to a character navigating the complexities and vulnerabilities within. This show's ability to entertain while addressing the unsettling question of artists' safety onstage makes it a must-watch.
Minus One (2019)
Outstanding
Minus One is a must-watch for all those who have gone through a breakup or have experienced unrequited love. The story is heartwarming and touches the soul. The characters are relatable and their emotions are raw, making it an emotionally charged watch. The cinematography and the music of the series are exceptional. They complement the story well and create a perfect ambiance for the scenes. It feels like you are a part of the story and can feel the emotions of the characters. Minus One is an excellent portrayal of love, friendship, and relationships in modern times. It is not just about the romantic love between two people, but also about the love between friends and family. It highlights the importance of communication and understanding in any relationship.
CAT (2022)
A Thriller that keeps you on the edge
Randeep Hooda rocks in CAT in a brand-new avatar! The story of a double agent is not that uncommon but in this series, it is less of James Bond stuff. It is more of a gritty and emotional affair of someone who is so torn by his love for his family and how he would go to any lengths to protect them, even to the point of befriending and earning the trust of the enemy. My personal opinion is that this should have been a feature-length film with a theatrical release. It would have set the screens on fire. The only reason why this less-known series got so much appreciation is because of Randeep Hooda's performance he is magnificent his portraying this role and his hold on the Punjabi language is flawless. Kudos Hooda!!
Freddy (2022)
Kartik Aaryan transforms into Freddy so effortlessly, he's simply UNBELIEVABLE
In the past, Kartik Aaryan has played various funny, outgoing, quirky characters like PKP, SKTKS but this is something else! Freddy is nothing like him. He is unrecognisable to the extent that you get chills watching him on the screen. The detailing in his acting, from unlocking his phone with his index finger to having a different gait for Freddy, to showing hints of a manic obsession, all done toooo well!
And Alaya is an amazing support as Kainaaz, she is hot, she is bitchy and she is promising as always. The film will really keep you hooked through and through so, definitely worth a watch!!
10 Nahi 40 (2022)
Outstanding
Accidently found this movie on YouTube recommendation and I rented it. I feel this movie is very touching, matching with the present-day reality and giving strength to old and seniors to lead the life in their own way without expecting from so called modern son or becoming burden on them. Really projected from the reality of life. It shows the fact that youth don't know that they must pass away through old age. Moreover, youths must know that they get what they give.
