Elementary: Dead Man's Tale (2017)
Frog in his throat?
This is more of a question than a review. Let's face it, a 'mediocre' was (& is) a LOT better than a lot of shoes of its time or especially today. What I'd like to know if anyone know why Miller's voice sounds so deep and froggy for the whole episode- was he experiencing illness or something at the time? Does anyone know?
I did like the fictional comic superhero comic reference to an earlier episode, The Night Ranger #1. One more sign, in my humble opinion I'm a well-writ show that manages to make references to past characters past events and past cases without making them glaringly obvious. Another very entertaining episode.
Touched by an Angel: The Occupant (1999)
Atrocious episode
I came across this by accident- a particular terrible episode of an already bad show. I was pulled in by the actors - 2 great character actors - one form ST: DS9 but then I realized what the show was & it got worse. To have a story about 'split personalities' is iffy but to blame this disorder on 'evil' is criminal. I'm an atheist but can enjoy shows with religious themes (like Evil or the occasional episode of the much superior to TBAA, Highway to Heaven) if well written- the same way I enjoyed Dr Strange - I know magic & religion aren't real. This was beyond lazy writing - it was damaging & degrading to people suffering from mental illness.
David Bowie: Serious Moonlight (1984)
Only Bowie concert I ever got to see
Just a wonderful concert- I wish they didn't cut several songs for tome- but pretty damn great. Not perfect but that was almost all post production- bad f/x added in. Absolutely loved Cracked Actor. He just looked like he was having fun.
