Ignore the bad reviews
6 January 2024
I wasn't going to watch this movie because of the low ratings but I'm glad I ignored the reviews and gave it a shot. I'm not going to say too much about the movie but please ignore the bad reviews and watch the movie. I don't start any Lifetime or LMN movie expecting too much but I will say that this one kinda had me stumped for a minute. The ending was a great little twist and I didn't see it coming which is very rare when watching these kind of movies. However, every now and then Lifetime/LMN will surprise you with a gem and this movie is one of those rare gems. It really didn't go the way I initially expected it to end and I'm glad I watched it.

Ignore the low ratings
24 December 2023
I'm not exactly sure why this movie has so many low ratings. Please ignore the low ratings and give this movie a watch. I truly enjoyed it and will probably watch it again with my children. Unfortunately, this movie speaks to the crisis that minorities face everyday in this country. Some reviewers were negative about all the social media outlets throughout the movie but that's how things go every time this happens. There's no true justice. There's only the court of public opinion and the racist system that has already found you guilty just based off your race and background. Movies like this are a must watch!! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Whatever It Takes (2023 TV Movie)

Surprisingly good movie
22 December 2023
I decided to give this a watch because I love all the ladies in the main cast. I wanted to see how well they worked together on screen and what this movie was all about. I must say it was a surprisingly good movie. Everyone did an amazing job and I can definitely see that Kandi's acting skills have gotten much better. The storyline was great and it kept you entertained throughout the entire movie. A lot of women can identify with each relationship in this movie. So many times as women we tend to get in our own way and this movie highlights that. I enjoyed it!

I definitely recommend watching this movie.

The Reading (I) (2023)

Bravo Monique and Lee Daniels...
12 February 2023
Im not sure why this movie is getting so many low ratings. The Reading is one of the best films I've seen in awhile. Monique's performance is nothing short of AMAZING!! The lead characters did a great job and really delivered in this film. It was a mixture of suspense, drama, a bit of horror and comedy that somehow just worked. Bravo to the dynamic duo Lee Daniels & Monique. This is the magic we get as an audience when powerhouse players team up and deliver greatness. We were all rooting for Monique's big comeback and she definitely delivered! Please ignore the low ratings because this is definitely a movie worth watching.

The nerve of this heifer!
19 August 2022
I've never heard of this story before and I've scrolled pass this documentary for a couple days. I'm glad I decided to watch. Manti Te'O is one of the most genuine, humble and kind spirited person I've come across in awhile. The fact that he persevered through the humiliation and scrutiny was simply amazing.

The individual who catfished Te'O is disgusting! The nerve of this heifer to inflict such pain on someone for their own selfish reasons. I have no sympathy or compassion for this individual. I understand that it's important for both parties to tell their side of the story; but to make this individual as much of a victim as Te'O is bs.

Te'O is a true inspiration and the manner in which he handled this situation is nothing short of amazing!

Much love and respect from Omaha, NE.

Don't waste your time

I got through the first 25 minutes of this crap and couldn't watch any further. The acting is BAD! Really bad! Not to mention it looked as if it was recorded with an IPhone 5. Don't waste your time! Find something else to watch.

Deadly Encounter (2004 TV Movie)
4/10
Now this movie was really STUPID.
15 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This movie had great potential. The first 10-15 minutes had me hopeful but it went downhill from there. The main character Joann is a single mom who works at night and cuts a guy off in traffic on her way home from work one night. This guy then starts harassing her and from there it's one stupid move after another.

Joann works at night and has a son BUT she doesn't have a cell phone. That scenario in itself warrants having a cell phone.

She has this weird obsession with her ex husband who has moved on with his life. The son is a smart mouth brat whose character really wasn't needed.

There's a scene where she gets off work and her tire has been slashed. She calls her ex husband to come help and when he arrives the tire is perfectly fine. Joann arrives home to find her home broken into; she goes INSIDE the house and calls the cops. Here's another scenario where a cell phone is needed! Especially after all the harassment she's been dealing with. It's common sense.

She can't even tell the cops the number that's been calling her home because she doesn't have caller ID; even the cops thought that was stupid. Even if she didn't have it before as a single woman being harassed; that a feature that should of been added ASAP.

**The writers missed a lot of small details that would have made the movie make sense.**

Her mother's character was a joke as well. The only thing they related on was not being able to keep a man. Here she is with a daughter that's being stalked and they're sipping tea chatting about their failed marriages.

Her mother has a house fire and ends up in the hospital. Joann and her friend Carol leaves the hospital to go shopping. Stupid!

**Here is another missed opportunity to make the characters relatable. If someone's mom is in the hospital shopping is not on their mind!**

While at work one night she wrongfully accuses a nice gentleman of being the stalker; meanwhile the real stalker is kidnapping her son from the hotel where they are supposedly hiding out to be safe. Joann gets off work and goes to her ex husband house unannounced and then gets mad because he's home with a female. Stupid!

She gets to the hotel feeling stupid and humiliated only to realized her smart mouth son has been kidnapped. The stalker guy calls and instructs her to put the phone down, come out the room, throw her cell phone in the bushes and follow him.

**NOW WHERE THE HELL WAS THE CELL PHONE WHEN SHE NEEDED IT IN ALL THE OTHER SCENES. The viewer understand that it's small details such as that that'll make a entire movie HORRIBLE!

Her and the stalker meet up in a remote place where he's asking her to apologize and they end up wrestling for the gun. She gets the gun, shoots him and goes to hug her son. The stalker then gets in the car and proceeds to drive towards them and she starts shooting at the car.... BOOM! The car exploded and the stalker is dead.

**I'm not feeling the ending simply because of that final part where her and the son are hugging as they watched the car burn and their facial expressions were almost sinister.**

I miss Monique!!
5 October 2021
Season 5 was the most explosive season of all. While I don't condone fighting I do understand the reason the altercation happened was because of instigating by Gizelle and Candace mouth! You can't antagonize people and then play victim when you get dragged.

Now, watching season 6 Candace still has a disgusting attitude and her mouth is a mess. This season her target is Mia and she's doing the same thing that led to her getting dragged last season. I miss Monique being on the show but I LOVE the fact that she left on her own terms. Classy Class Act!!

Why Gizelle is the face of the show is baffling to me. She NEVER has a storyline. Every season it's a relationship that's more of a situationship. Her entire life /lies were put on blast at the Season 5 reunion and Bravo let it slide. She's messy, miserable and mediocre! I loved when Wendy got her together. She was dumbfounded by it. I was proud of Wendy because Gizelle think she can come for people marriages and get away with it BUT Wendy wasn't having it!

Robin relationship with Juan is not real at all. She's more passionate about Gizelle than Juan; it's so obvious. Robin shoulda of been gone off the show but without her Gizelle has no sidekick. I would love for Bravo to split them up and see if Gizelle can stand on her own.

Ashley is just Ashley... She can go right along with Robyn. Bye!

I love Karen!!!!! I think Askale is a good addition to the show as well. The jury is still out on messy Mia....

The Ms. Pat Show (2021– )

FIRST REAL RELATABLE SITCOM IN YEARS!!!!
27 September 2021
I didn't know what to expect but I'm glad I gave this show a try... I literally binged watched the first season and I'm looking forward to season 2. The dynamic between Ms. Pat & Denise(Tami Roman) is hilarious and it feels genuine. The entire cast is good! I love the uncensored comedy mixed with relatable issues in our community. It's raw and funny but at the end of each episode there's a lesson learned.

I'm sure some people will be critical due to the cursing but those of us who get it; get it!

Surprisingly good!

This is a good movie. I knew something was up about 5-10 minutes into the movie but was very shocked once that "something" was actually revealed. I was pleasantly surprised!

Nice movie to watch
22 September 2021
I've read the bad reviews and I agree the plot and the editing could have been better. However, it's a descent Netflix movie to watch. It's your typical married couple(with issues), new house/new start, spouse doesn't believe that someone is in the house movie. Hey "The Intruder" went to the theatre and it's the same story as "Aftermath."

Not that bad
17 September 2021
A lot of people are giving this movie bad reviews, however I kinda enjoyed it and it was great to see two great actors in a different way. Omari and Loretta did a great job. The ending coulda been a bit more thought out but overall it was a good movie.

Safer at Home (2021)

WTF!
17 September 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I was really holding on hoping the ending would at least be good enough to get a 5/10 rating but that didn't happen. The script, the plot and the actors were just terrible. These idiots literally made terrible decisions the entire movie via zoom because they thought their friend killed his girlfriend (which he didn't she stumbled backwards and hit her head). He's running from the cops the entire movie while on zoom with his friends only to get pulled over and shot by the cops and what was suppose to be a "plot twist" was even worse; the girlfriend wasn't even dead! She wakes up only to watch him (via zoom) die from gunshot wounds. WTF!

This movie had potential to be better but I guess the budget for it was low. IDK.
