She Made Them Do It (2013 TV Movie)

So who did it?

So I pondered after the movie was over, but then I got my answer from the title of the movie " She made them Do it", and it was all set up in the story especially with photos on the wall in her cell. All these female inmates she forced favors on them and helped them with their problems because she was studying books in the prison library. Because this movie is based on a true life event, it may sound silly, but taking it for granted and enjoy the movie, I gave it a 6.6, but of course IMBD uses only whole numbers. When the movie was over I wanted more, I guess because we didn't know who did it, but this is my hunch. It's watchable.

I think you should give this movie a chance it's worth watching if you get through the hurdles of some unclear dialogue. Luckily, I always have my subtitles on whether they're English or foreign language speaking movies. The movie has a good story and it has some skin, some of the music at the end was not well thought of with the heavy drumming. I had a feeling from the beginning about the movie that the wife Kaia played by Gitte Witt was going to be with her sisters fiancé, somehow they seem to be in harmony just being in presence of her sister. I think the movies would have been better with some tidying some of the scenes. This is the first movie for Mona Fastoid directing p, I'm going to gave her a chance and watch her other newer movies. This Norwegian movie was shot in the US and presented in English.

Let it all out

This movie is not for everyone it's for a group of people maybe studying method acting or theater, this is really an intense and emotionally charged movie with a very different story. My only gripe was the movie had too many people crying and sadness, but I think Amy Ferguson has done a great acting job. She carried out the movie with her acting , her counterpart the sculpture, the mask maker did not carry himself consistently. I understand what the Director was trying to do was trying to build out for the end that Amy playing the character of Illeana has not shown emotions she accepted whatever until the point of her buttons pushed, and she was ready to go to her performance with true emotions. The movie was directed but a woman and it had women's point of you that we men normally didn't see.

I had to watch it on 3 different sessions because of the too much crying.

I always enjoy the movies that Emily Blunt is in, I thought I'd give it a try the story was intriguing, and it was a fresh character played by blunt. I mean Emily Blunt, but it seems to me the direction of the movie was going in the direction of Harry Potter movie, freeze frame, narration, and going through a montage of telling us, that time has passed Ala Martin Scorsese style. At 57 minutes into the movie things started going the wrong direction. I gave it to Five. I thought the acting was good between the two lead characters but all the other actors were mediocre were like cartoonish. I almost texted to friend to tell him I'm watching a great movie but I'm glad I did not.

Very entertaining

It was a good plot, very well written script. I saw the bad reviews, but I thought I give it a try. I enjoyed every minute of it, the camera work was smart and slick, the acting with both lead was very good, especially Willa Ford, she was so believable with her emotions. I gave it a 7, it could have been a 6, but I liked story even there were two flaws, but if you go along with the plot then it will be not worth mentioning. The pace was good enough that kept me interested.

One thing though there should have been an explanation of how she met the other guy, it could have been written in the script easily.

The title Impulse" didn't give the movie justice, it should have been "Clair's Husband " or "It Just Happened to Be".

Keeping Up with the Joneses (2016)

Mindless entertainment

It was recommended to me watch Keeping with the Joneses, I guess it should be titled "Whats up with the Joneses", it was very hard to keep up from scene to scene, All the cast are all a favorite of mine. But I just could not digest this one. What about the house that exploded and all the dead people, nothing seems to make sense. Heat of security at MBI, a catchy company name, he lives in a trailer? And gets to die in front of it. All these cliches scenes have been done over and over in many movies. With an estimated budget of $40,000:000, it only made about $30,000,000. Not enough to return its money. I promised my sister to watch it, because she recommend it, but I had to watch it in 5 installments. It was a waste of time.

The Wedding Trip (2021)

Nice, and not boring at all, very enjoyable movie

Samantha and Jack are riding together to attend a friend's wedding. What a cute movie, it's not your normal "what you think movie", Sydney Bakich who played, Samantha was so funny in her delivery, she and Bart Blachnio who played Jack had a great chemistry. It kept my interest level all throughout the movie. I agree the scene with her sis and her jealous boyfriend was a little off, but overall I loved it. All the events in the story lead to each other as the story progresses. I don't understand the bad reviews maybe if they watched the movie a little longer they would change their mind. I wish to see Sydney Bakich in more movies, especially comedy.

Back Roads (2018)

A Very depressing movie

A Very depressing movie; the lead actor Harley and also the director of the movie, was always stone cold faced, with no emotions whatsoever, wears the same cloths, his hair is always messed up, never takes a bath, but somehow a married neighbor has two kids with a neglected husband, is having an affair with Harley who is 10 years younger, her husband is always traveling, and it's convenient for her to find sex with Harley. That's not all, his mother in jail killed his dad, and his sister some how......this is a sick, this movie is very boring an unbelievable story, maybe if the acting was better, this story would have a better meaning After 1 hour and 25 minutes, I could not continue watching it.

Professor Marston & the Wonder Women (2017)

This is a sick movie

I have been following the works of Rebecca Hall she's a superb actress. But this movie seems to be really sick. Even if It was based loosely on some facts the movie goes through a period of time but the characters don't get old, they have grown-up kids and they still look the same.

In some scenes they were smoking cigarettes with filter, in those years they did not have cigarettes with filter.

And I don't think women swear or say the F word in those years. I decided to finish watching it, but it didn't serve any justice to the really actual events of professor Martson and his wife Elizabeth. Although at the end of the movie when credits start to roll, it listed some real facts about their lives, such as when they died and how long they lived to be.

Judge Steve Harvey (2022– )

Good entertainment better than judge Judy

So far I have laughed at every one of his shows, it's not scripted and this it's very funny. I know it's not a serous courtroom drama. It's different than all other "Judge" TV show. I hope that show pick up momentum and more people realize so not a boring show.

Slow moving

Too many close ups, as if it was shot for TV for a small screen, even though it was a Netflix original to be shown on TV, but now a days there are bigger TV screens like 65", I couldn't appreciate the surroundings; especially if you are in a trip or vacationing in Greece.

The title The Lost Daughter made me think at first she was looking for her daughter, it was a slow moving movie.
