Major Dad (1989–1993)
9/10
Major Entertainment

Major Dad was a great sitcom, wholesome and amusing. It had family values and showed a proper family working things out, no matter what the obstacles. There were obstacles, much like real life, but as a family unit, they stuck together and pulled through them together. And yes, I laughed. Often. I have not spontaneously laughed, literally, for years. I just got Netflix a few months ago and I began watching it from the beginning and couldn't stop. It touched my heart and very much made me smile.

I noticed that the stories were declining a bit, losing a little steam as it went on and it made me sad but I still enjoyed it very much. I think Casey was one of my favorites. The BIGGEST star was the littlest actor. Some of her lines were a riot! The whole cast was great. Near the very end I saw a couple of inconsistencies though, where an idea or storyline was introduced and then not immediately followed through on. (It was easy for me to see. I loved it so much I was binging it, watching 3 or 4 or 5 episodes at a time.) But then suddenly it abruptly ENDED.

Rumor has it that a new head of something took over and immediately moved the show from Monday night to Friday. Put it in the graveyard, then wondered why it died. I love it when people decide for us what we can love and watch. Sherman Hemsley, it was reported, was eating breakfast at his table and picked up the morning paper and read that The Jefferson's had been cancelled. After 11 years, that's how he was treated. Read it in the paper. When THEY want a show dead, it dies. Major Dad died. That was a bad move. It was a very nice show. (Lack of reality? C'mon! What do you want? A sitcom, a laugh, to get away for awhile. Lighten up, don't be so cynical.) Major dad did what it was supposed to do, and it did it well. It was a great show, it was loved, and it is missed. This is Must-See TV. If you want something clean and fun, please try it. I'm glad I did.

Longest Nightmare EVER
2 January 2022
One hour and fifty-one minutes... that's what they claim. Oh my GOD no. It had to have been AT LEAST 4 hours of an acid trip, a very bad one, trapped in a 6 year-old mind. What was I thinking? What are you thinking? RUN. Run for your life. Pulp Fiction from a 6 year-old's point of view. There is one emotional point in the last 20 seconds... at last, a feeling that isn't screaming madness. Oh my God don't do it. I thought it would NEVER end.

The Return to HORROR movies
29 October 2021
This is a stunningly disturbing, nasty, just plain dreadful horror movie. With a spectacular cast and some great backdrops and special effects, this nightmare of a movie is what people dream of when they try to make a horror movie. Everyone hopes their movie will come out like this. Most never do. Chilling on every level, very few movies of this category ever even come close to this. If you like this genre and you want Truly Disturbing and just plain Messed Up, this is a solid ten Must See (in the dark, late at night!) movie.

Chilling and breathtaking
29 October 2021
This is the stunning true story of serial killer Robert Hanson, Alaska's version of Ted Bundy, and the reluctant state trooper who became involved in several cold cases and linked them all together. Nicholas Cage plays the role of a determined cop who just couldn't stop and went on the manhunt that eventually brought the killer down. John Cusack offers a chilling and spectacular performance as the killer who almost got away with it all.

Fantastic acting from several major stars, a great cast, true to real facts, this is the way they all wish they could be. For obvious reasons this movie should be considered absolute MUST-SEE. If your daughter were in it, you would want the whole world to see it too. It is very disturbing and will leave you shaking so viewers beware. See this movie, but do it when you don't have any plans directly following the movie, because you won't want to do much of anything after.

Awesome supernatural cop drama tv
23 October 2021
Think 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer' if Buffy were a detective and not a schoolgirl. There are beings who live in secret among us; some are good, some are not. There have also been chosen ones who can see what most of us cannot see. Vision is not their only ability.

This show is fun, easy to follow and has a great cast. It is very easy to binge, and I was sad to reach the end of the road far sooner than I wanted to. They planned for the end, then wrote the end with the fans very much in mind, giving us one of the best show endings I have ever seen. Thank you for that. They made the rules, then broke NONE of them. Great show with a great end, supernatural TV fans, this is MUST-SEE TV.
