Overrated, boring
19 August 2022
This program comes up ever so ofter when a list of must watch is discussed. But this one is a big bore with a wooden faced heroine , her smile and grimace overlapping all the time. Many wasted talents.bI watched it by having my finger on the fast forward.

The story had no suspence and it was revealed too early .

Anyway I can get it out of my list and that's a relief.

Rule breaking University
9 August 2022
Everyone goes around spewing justice, rules and regulations blah blah and promptly breaks them all. Professors sit to drink with students. Everyone shouts as if the others had a hearing problem. Characters appeared and disappeared at will. Every evidence , In USBs, ledgers, that was precious to pin the culprit was carried around like a newspaper. Ouch. The student trainee was more intelligent than the Professor and could think through issues and connections better.

It got so tiring I just stopped bothering. . The lead pair were dead as dodos.

Finally..
31 July 2022
A program where the characters evolved and the show did not sag and drag and have incessant fissiparious chatter.

Just in their twenties and each carries a secret that can bury an adult. Yet amidst all the problems they try to live life to the hilt.

Long time since I saw a Korean program where women had individuality and were not caricatures.

Squirming ...but well done
28 July 2022
Attempting anything in the spectrum of disability itself is a challenge. And then choosing autism requires courage. Having chosen a challenge, how does one stay on course of not evoking, pity ,sympathy or laughter? How does one show that autism is a major social interaction/ communication issue and not of mental/ cognitive disabilities.

And like most other stunning story lines of Korean programs, this too slips into pity, sympathy and plain ridiculousness.

If only the heroines walk and facial expressions were not caricatured...if autism is so visible I can help teachers identify autism and help them treat children better.

The 9 however is for attempting to talk about it. Like the Good Doctor I hope it opened some eyes and to understanding autism and supporting diversity and inclusion.

Nosy ,desperate TV channels..but great series
27 June 2022
The series started as such a bore ,Two reasons I stopped watching- Park Shin the lead actress and a vague quiz program.. She is always presented untidy for some reason and her overacting is painful. But Curiosity got the better of me and I went back after nearly 6 months.

The story emerged and a gripping one at that. Great acting, good story more on revenge than romance, which got tiring in the blow hot ,blow cold romance of the lead pair. The pillars were the brother and the heir and some of the TV guys .

The battle between telling the facts and impact , the race for top viewership were all well captured. Except the barging in into a luxury store and harassing the service guys-really? And from TV stations that are epitomes of capitalism. ? The series was too long and dragged after Episodes 14.

But worth the watch.

Patience
1 June 2022
It's Go Ara in the female lead. So I kept my hands on the fast forward and not disappointed. Stupidity, overacting hall mark. Korean movies bane are the few female actresses who can slaughter a movie.

Well rookies trying to learn the ropes. Disastrous start but they do learn the hard way. Some fun moments and well it is a 2014 program. Patience.

Finally ..no fast forwards
28 May 2022
I finally got to see a program where I couldn't miss a scene or fast forward as I usually do. No incessant chatter, no female lead that acts immature, dumb or irritating and 2 male leads that were a pleasure to watch.

It was cinematic in places, with plenty of legal terms . But the taut direction meant the loopholes in the law, the power of interpretation and the battle between truth and justice beautifully captured.

I also think the casting was fabulous. I loved the young ones and the Professor.

Nuisance of a heroine
27 May 2022
So many commented on his non communicado for three years. I would have done the same if I had a snooping, smothering, mothering, pesky junior doctor acting like a little puppy following him everywhere. I wish she was the learning, intelligent kind. I am wondering whom to blame- the director or the actress who couldn't rise to the role. Wide eyes, open mouth don't make acting.

Cry baby female doc...
26 May 2022
This is a program that would have gone down as an amazing movie had the characters risen to their roles. The issues discussed like eusthanasia and prolonging life have no straight answers. Both doctors , patients, families and caretakers go through intense pain and dilemma. The legal aspects clash with the doctors and patients decisions most times. Dying and death are not easy to decide on and the question of the role of a life saver like a doctor becoming the Terminator of pain.

Ji sung as the doctor protagonist plays his role so well. And his good looks ..the female lead was dead pan . No doctor weeps all the time like she does. Playing a role requires a lot of preparation and if those nuances aren't captured the character becomes weak.

Many issues are left open ended as should be because there are no one answer to the issues discussed. The dilemmas were well captured .

The team of young doctors stood and stared most of the time and appeared totally ignorant. I couldn't stop comparing with Dr Stranger, The Good Doctor - action packed and capturing reality powerfully.

But saw the whole program because of the powerful issues raised and Dr Cha's role.

Overboard
11 May 2022
One character held up the story- the hero. So many irritating characters that I could watch 20 episodes in three hours.

Really? A woman chose her mom and ex boyfriend over her husband! Thesick mom needed hospitalization not home care. And absolutely normal when she meets a man? Some cure that!. Oh dear. Anyway were they trying to say pure love crosses all hurdles even if you put them across your path ?

Cancer can be cured. Says the doctor. Wow
9 May 2022
A nice breezy love story. Two main characters with enormous chemistry. George Hus natural ness is the highliight of the serial . And then a bunch of cackling women. A bad behaved nosy sisterand another one, immature crybaby. A father more worried about his daughters anger than her health and treatment of cancer.

Verbosity meant I could see each episode in 10 minutes.

Well done
3 May 2022
Was interesting from the with go esp since the challenges of Juvenile law which is never easy.

The characters developed gradually to reveal who they were.

But is there no recuse in Korea? Why do they don't in court?

Unfortunately she comes through tard too like God. By the way why can't she be nicer? W what does she have to hide?

In all I liked it.

Shame of a movie
29 April 2022
As an Indian I buried my head in shame. In this century a 19 century movie.... I watched to see if there was one redeeming feature ..not one not one. A male chauvinist hero, a stupid dumb stone faced heroine, dumber officers, dumbest villians ...and a dance in a club.....wow. When we have directors who have no sense of film making we will get a vomitable khichdi.

Yuhhhh.

Cute but....
9 February 2022
I saw the Good Doctor and then Doctor Stranger ad a series of hospital shows. To me Dr Stranger and then the Good Doctor had a lot to give..playlist is a slow, rambling of life in a hospital and more the human element.

How a heroine can drag a movie down
6 February 2022
Single mothers fight to rise in life. But then you have an actress who comes through immature, childish and oh so silly you begin to hate the series. Why do Korean serials do this so often? Overacting, clumsy actress.

Nuisance heroine ..
25 November 2021
Why do Korean programs have heroines that are loud, nosey bumbling idiots with a huge sense of self? Why?

Airport and you have this woman weepy, bad mouthing everyone except herself. Ughh. I think the writers think it's funny to have her behave like a rat..it only demeaning and stupid.

Otherwise a powerful human interaction with the working of an airport beautifully woven into the story. The backdrop of a busy airport is a great backdrop to the complexity of human interactions.

Serious crimes but hey it doesn't matter...
16 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A brother sister who live on crime. A CEO who can be easily blackmailed to do what a temporary employee asks him to. A hero drawn to this negative character like a firefly. She steals, she taps phones, is allover the place breaking the law . Too clever making her role unbelievable. If that is a cocktail to love , well..... What worked for me was the hero. I saw him in Pasta, an arrogant bully who mellows down. What an actor. In My Mister the naive, over burdened ordinary soul. Amazing actor. And then in Ep15 he falls. And what a fall. Everything is okey because she suffered- blackmailing, phone tapping and murder and all crimes good by me. What a fall for a man who battled desire and conscience. If the lawyer wife had a physical extra marital affair, his was a mental extra marital affair .

And all other characters great acting. The bond formed in their 20s, their miseries not spoken aloud but empathetic being with each other, their shared joys and some great moments and dialogues.

The heroine fab acting. Ruthless with a ten million figure stuck in her head and doing anything to just stay alive. Just too unbelievable for me., Her omnipresence, her 24/7 taping, listening to him ,come on get real. So all suffering kids can do what she did and justify crime...damn.

They found peace by accepting crime incld the lawyer. Eh?

Youth

I loved the way those babies free into young adulthood. The parents on one side and these on the other.

What set my teeth on the edge is the lead females role. Yuk..screaming squealing overacting...why?

The boys... More of them please. Esp SW. His tenderness and love... Great acting. All of them.

One can feel the change in the society. Electronics, Korea as a growing economy, education... Lot of patience needed but liked its rambling.

A could have been trend setter...just flew out of the window
4 November 2021
Great start. Riveting. Lots of emotions. And then ouch. At Ep 7 ' burn rate' I found myself burnt out.

A great trendsetter on the struggles of startups just lost its way. Dalmi an overnight CEO? Of a tech company???? Okey....if only CEOs grew out of textbooks n books.. Add ons were two other Sans...they were who?

Some great moments though...Sandbox s name...the father's death...

Lovely patisserie and crazy overacting...
3 November 2021
Well it's a 2012 creation and it shows. Esp if one is bonge watching the later movies/ drama First why are women in rich families downright big B's or loud mouthed enough to make one cringe?

Overacting is another huge issue. Yuh. Painful esp the sister . Gracious .

Stopped watching to Ep 2 bec of all those screaming women.

Overacting misery but...
31 October 2021
You know the story. You just want to know how it is solved. I had my hand on the fast forward esp when Gong came along, her family and that oh so wooden faced, mean, manipulative sister of hers, so I survived it.

Saving grace was the two men ,their struggle and misunderstandings.

The reason for the 5 star is the lead actress. Such a miserable whinner. Everyone else is blamed for her life. Except herself and that miserable mouth of hers. Calculative, hard hearted misery. Wondering why do many recommended it.

Fun, laugh moments...but ...
24 October 2021
The problem is in looking at this movie as a time travel. Oh no. The premise of the story was great. Imagine your 17 year old self reminding you on how you planned your life only for to realise one had lost vision, self, everything. And realise that was an adult you are responsible for who you become.

In a long time ,a quiet heroine bearing her cross. The hero the free floating guy rising to a challenge. The best was Antony with his past catching up at every step to derail him. The character grew from uni dimensional to many shades. The irritating bit was the younger self. Screechy and in your face.

Enjoyed the moments of fun and tears.

Breezy, light weight with a powerful premise-are you now who you thought you would be at 17?

Unrated for some reason
12 October 2021
For one, the situational humor was fun. Second no overacting esp by the heroine. Third great actors. Fourth not tacky . Yet many underated it.

Watch it for the actors . For some fun.food techniques.
