Dangerous Game: The Legacy Murders (2022)
Terrible
I gave it a watch because of the actors. However, it was like an Uncorked film production. Of course the acting was great. But the storyline was WEAK and rushed. Not enough dialogue that alluded to who JV's ancestor was. And it was STUPID to use a voice disguiser if the main characters already knew who was speaking. The characters were not very well developed either.
No protagonist. The ending could have been a lot stronger. The movie started out good, but fell apart after the first 20min. And by the way, the cat scene was unnecessary. But way to go on giving idiots out there ideas on new ways to abuse animals.
The Black Book (2021)
Camera out of focus
The acting is not very good at all. Directing seems decent. The shop owner was slightly out of focus which set the tone on how it was gonna be. Then the editing on the b/w story-- bottom of title was cut off. It's like they hired someone off Fiverr.
Meet, Marry, Murder Hosted by Michelle Trachtenberg (2021)
Could be better
The stories are interesting. But having to watch the host is painful. It's like she's trying to be Joe Kenda and failing. The way she executes the lines are like she's reading off que cards for the first take. Like, the card cuts off and she picks it up on the next card but starts a new expression. It's awful. And it's like she is trying REALLY hard in a very bad audition.
All Girls Weekend (2016)
Duped
I'm not even gonna lie. I started following the director on Face Book. Thought I'd support females in the biz. She pumped up this film with all the "awards" and where it was released I got all excited when it popped up on Prime. After 10 minutes I thought it must be a different film. It's beyond amateurish. Flat angles, lighting, just all bad. Dumb script. Literally makes no sense. No cohesion. It's as if they're written over night.
From the looks of reviews on this film and others, the director is either delusional or just a complete fraud. I get having dreams and trying to sell yourself in Hollywood, but I'd be embarrassed to have my name attached to this one. Definitely wouldn't be bragging and giving myself a pat on the back for how quickly I write scripts and pump out films if this is the result.
