World War II: From the Frontlines (2023)
A very generic WW 2
If you know absolutely nothing about world war II you might think that the series is fantastic, but if you have any serious knowledge about world war II you'll find this very very boring. Absolutely nothing new in this series whatsoever we've heard it all a million times before. Also many mistakes in the written dialogue of the narration historically inaccurate aspects in certain parts.
The only good thing about this series is the video it is colorized it does look nice we have seen many of these scenes a million times over, there's a few new ones here and there scattered in which is nice to see.
If your true history nerd of world war II watch the ultimate Bible of documentaries The world at war.
That series is and always will be amazing it will never be out done even though it is some 30 to 40 years old, and still the ultimate of history lessons of the war.
The Movies That Made Us: Aliens (2021)
Overall good episode about Aliens.
Overall very good documentary about the filming of aliens and about the pros and cons of making the film in England.
Reading some of these other reviews makes me wonder if these people even watched this documentary, case in point one review stated where was the Sarge at the actor who played him. Unfortunately that actor passed away in 2018.
Secondly One reviewer wanted to know why James Remar was in this documentary, he originally was casted to play the part of Cpl. Dwayne Hicks. After filming started he was arrested for a drug charge and was sent back to America.
That's when Michael Biehn took over the roll of Hicks.
If you were just to watch the bloody episode you'd understand what was going on.
But in today's day and age people don't read, they don't watch they just like to criticize.
There's about 10 episodes I believe in this series from other movies from Friday the 13th to Elf to Back to the Future That should be worth watching. So if you want to kill an hour, overall it's a well worth series to watch.

Hollywood is Dead, long live S Korea
This film has a great story line. Doesn't get bog down in aimless story telling. Not once did I look at the clock to see how many minutes were left, manly because the story moves fast and the characters are interesting.
Hollywood has lost its mojo in story telling and S Korea has happily taken over. Hopefully with the writers strike, writers will take this time to come up with better storylines. There are many worth while Korean films you can check out for free especially on Tubi app that you can download. They have a deal with major Korean film companys that show their stuff. Well worth checking out.
Do you're self a favor and stop watching Marvel films and watch this film. If you like a gritty interesting films this is for you...
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023)
Disney and KK do it again!
Disney and Kathleen Kennedy do it again totally mess up our childhood heroes. They turn a wonderful character into an old grumpy man.
Being let around by a very annoying woman who knows everything,
She's constantly snatching the thread of a conversation away from Indy, constantly imposing herself in situations, when she's not on screen, we can take a deep breath because we feel so much better. Then it turns back to a Indy film.
First film we had Marion, a tough woman who had charisma and not a know it all character. She was Indy's equal.
Second film we had Willie, she didn't know how to fight didn't know how to shoot guns. She was out of her element, and she was fun.
This film is way too long. It gets bogged down in many places. Way too much CGI as a very milky feel to it.
I felt very depressed after watching this film. Indy's character of our childhood, has been destroyed by a company, known for making childhood memories.

The New Hollywood, not in California
S Korea really knows how to make good films. This film Unstoppable has all the right parts for a very intense funny film. Plot wise you can find out by watching. Don Lee stars in it and always plays likable characters.
Korean Writers take their time setting up the characters in films. Something Hollywood has forgotten how to do.
There are many free to watch films on Roku, Tubi etc to check out. Films that are worth watching are, The Chaser, Hwayi A Monster Boy, The Yellow Sea, Montage, A Bittersweet Life, Confession of Murder, Memoir of a Murder, New World, The Raid one and two films etc. If you're bored with Super Hero films as most likely if you're reading this you are, make the move to some great films..

Hollywood now in S Korea
80% of S Korea movies are worth seeing. This film is fantastic from start to finish. A band of high tech bank robbers do their trade and it's great fun to watch. Hollywood has lost control of modern thrillers. Now S Korea has taken over!

Hollywood has moved to South Korea
Memoir of a Murderer suck's you in from the very beginning. That's what SK writers are so good at doing. They don't rush the development of characters. They give them believable backstory's then let it play out at a slow rate. A lost art for U. S. writers.
Even tho the main character was a serial killer now with dementia you really feel for this guy, the sense of loss he is living with. I'm not going to give anymore away plot wise, but if you want to watch some great films look up the SK ones, they have taken over Hollywood.
I'm glad they did, you can only watch so many Superhero films without losing your mind....

Fantastic Story.
Fantastic film where you really care for the characters and the outcome of the story.
Considering the special effects are fantastic it's amazing what they've done using small miniatures it's just outstanding. Only downfall is Amazon has his film not in the Russian language but dubbed in English. The actors that they picked for the different parts, do not match the character's overall feel. So that part is a major let down
If you watch the film make sure to watch it in the original Russian language With subtitles it adds so much more to the overall film.
