Dirty John (2018)
Seriously?? 7/10??
Eric Bana did his best with a script that didn't pop.
If Connie Britton didn't have the good hair, there would be NOTHING to watch this series for. She is totally wooden (was she meant to be?) and has left me wondering why indeed anyone watches her at all.
I only finished watching it to see how much he could sting her for, so annoying was she.
One star for Bana, one for the hair and one for the lovely dog.
Waste of time.
Titanic II (2010)
Felt like giving it more BUT ...
Hayden didn't spit up water at the end and survive! I was really surprised.
One of the most unintentionally funniest films I've ever seen, and worthy of a Saturday night hire. It gave me genuine laugh out loud moments, didn't waste one cliche and everyone pulled exactly the right face for their particularly disastrous moment. And with the word Titanic in the title, what good is a spoiler alert lol?
Well done guys!!
Jungletown (2017)
Mixed messages, cringey viewing
Takes a whole episode to kill a goat. Eco warriors with resident CATS. Riding a horse riddles with worms. Everyone obsessed with themselves and their feelings - think I just discovered the generation gap.
Count Dracula (1977)
Gauche, obvious, one dimensional.
This movie wasn't frightening, or engaging, on any level for me. The special effects are understandably clunky, given it's age, but it has no atmosphere and presents no aura of menace at all.
In my opinion Werner Herzog's Nosferatu remains the undisputed benchmark, a truly engrossing and foreboding film with outstanding cinematography.
