The Domino Principle (1977)
They
Who are they? They are his devotees, his disciples, unwitting stooges.believing they will be partakers in his grand plan for global rule. He will rule for a little while and they will be part of it. The dominos continue to fall... Things are in motion for the final reckoning. In the end the King of Kings and Lord of Lords will come to set things right. Count on it! +++
The Atheist Delusion (2016)
Spotlights the pervasiveness of the delusion
Sad to see so many have been conned by the deceiver into believing the unfounded so-called theory of evolution (evilution). Brother Ray cracks the door open to allow some light in for a fortunate few, hopefully some will snap out of it. The agents of Satan will attack this portrayal as they always do. I pray many will seek the light regardless, and be saved. The truth will stand when the world's on fire. Jesus said, "I am the way, the the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father but by me." John 14:6. "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good." Psalm 53:1.
Terra (2007)
Blackeyed alien abductors turned into cute victims?
My rating is not awful, because of the animation or the art direction. Technically the movie is done well, but it's because of the premise. Imagine this scenario, the so-called blackeyed grey aliens (demons) that many people claim to have encountered or been abducted by have already infiltrated. So to make their takeover more palatable they are now the victims, and the Battle for Terra (earth) is actually now in progress. Humans are the spoilers of the planet, which of course all worshippers of Gaia believe, so the awful humans that were created in the image of God must be purged or hybridized. So the infiltrators are the heroes, the humans are subdued, and those left get to live happily ever after with the anti-Christ. This movie has some similarity to Avatar. Humans bad, demonic looking alien creatures good. Get rid of the humans, save the planet all ends well... not according to my copy of the book. I don't recommend it for kids. +++
30 Days: Muslims and America (2005)
Knucklehead or Christian?
This knucklehead spends 30 days with muslims, and nearly converts. Gets conned into "religion of peace" junk, and decides that he's a jihadist too - in the personal struggle sort of way. He needs to decide whether he actually wants to be a Christian or not, because studying the koran is not the way to do it. He should be telling them the good news of Christ, not immersing himself in deception. A biblically illiterate beer drinking knucklehead is not a born again Christian, if he was he wouldn't have been conned into believing that now he's on a jihad too. Hope he's sobered up by now. Porter +++ P.S. If the IMDb posting system automatically capitalizes koran, or Muslim or jihadist, I didn't do it. P.S.S. The poor dear knucklehead needs to familiarize himself with some of these verses. First of all, the Lord said, "..., ye must be born again." John 3:17. You cannot do this until you repent, and make Jesus Lord of your life (Mat. 3:2, Mark 1:15). Then you will understand the good news (the gospel), that anyone that calls on the name of the Lord can be saved (Rom. 10:13), even beer-drinking knuckleheads, and muslims. Also you will realize, what Jesus meant when He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6.
The St. Tammany Miracle (1994)
bouncing on the court
Girls basketball is always interesting. It might have been a lot more interesting if Soleil (Julia - player, not coach) had not had breast reduction surgery... a lot more bouncing on the court, which might have added greater dimensions to the plot tension. :) It's funny all those girls in Hollyweird want breast enhancement, then when one gets naturally endowed, she wants the opposite. The same old story, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. I wrote that, because you have to have ten lines of text or IMDb won't post it. Anyway, the plot synopsis says it's a Catholic school, when in fact it's an Episcopal school. Too bad the Episcopal church USA has gone totally apostate now, and is about to be kicked out of the World Anglican Communion. Typically you don't call Episcopal priests "father", which the Bible says you shouldn't do anyway... another one of those apostate catholic traditions. Enough bashing the churches, have fun watching the movie. +++
Jeremiah Johnson (1972)
Fair piece about a man's struggle in the environment, however...
A fair piece about a man's struggle in the environment of the early Western frontier. Although the usual Hollywood liberal bias bleeds through even in this one. The choice of Paul Benedict as the Rev. Lindquist, and lines given him, were to effect an oafish unsympathetic character with a prejudice against "Indians". Really he was portrayed as the only black-heart in the movie, convincing Jeremiah to go on a rescue mission leaving his homestead behind, exposed to possible attack. The Reverend was shown to be disdainful of the sanctity of Indian burial grounds, while his mission saving the hapless Christians was portrayed as more or less a fool's errand. Basically the stupid Christians got themselves into this predicament, and the conniving Reverend belittled and cajoled Jeremiah into rescuing them. What if the Reverend had been portrayed by a handsome, valiant, prayerful character truly concerned for the welfare of the stranded Christians? Undoubtedly, that would have taken away the audience's sympathy for the bloody vengeance Jeremiah took out on the "Indians" that attacked his squaw, and the boy.
