Is The Simpson Dying?
9 March 2008
This latest season has been disappointing, and this latest episode is possibly the worst I've seen. It just didn't seem to gel together at all. Its almost like two different writers sat down and wrote half an episode each, then the two scripts were edited together by a third person.

The stories (2 different issues running) just weren't funny. Nor were the stories connected in any way. Firstly, Homers story could have been much better, if this was the only story in the episode, the only laugh i got was from the 'Lamb/Motel' scene. Bart, Lisa and Martins story was completely lacking in humor. And the 'Butterfly' ending was just weird, WHAT happened to this brand? Maybe 19 seasons is just too many?? Please Matt, bring back Futurama!!!!!! Even if Fox won't touch it, there are other networks man

Worst Movie Ever?
3 September 2007
When this movie first started I thought I was in for a treat, a sexy Russian Lap-dancer, who gets topless in the opening scene. Yes, I thought, great start! Unfortunately, that was the best moment of the whole film, things went downhill fast after that.

This is possibly the worst movie I have ever sat through. The acting is terrible, the cast consists of a bunch of no-ones that really hammed it up, the music soundtrack is annoying (too loud, too chicka-wow-wow), the plot is empty and predictable and the scenes are basic and stereotypical, yet still unrealistic. (Especially the 'quaint English village')

AVOID THIS MOVIE LIKE THE PLAGUE

Not as bad as the rating makes out

Being Irish-born living in England, I've never heard of Larry the Cable Guy, so his humour wasn't tired or 'more of the same' and also it is very unusual to see America doing satire. I guess this is a film that Americans just don't get, because the Iraq issue is such a serious one to them (along with the Mexican issues i guess) As you can see, i have rated this 6 out of 10.

No belly laughs, but i did find myself smiling at the jokes, and whats more, I didn't need to turn it off, or fall asleep, so its better than some Hollywood blockbusters I have seen recently (Rise of the Silver Surfer as one example)

Was expecting a terrible movie based on other comments and ratings here

Warning: Spoilers
I was expecting a dire movie based on the comments and ratings i read here on IMDb, but was pleasantly surprised by the format of this movie.

Luke Goss shows once again that he can act (better than he can sing, i might add) His monologues help the slow plot along its course, and kept me interested (contrary to other comments made here) Kevin Howarth's dark, and brooding presence isn't compelling viewing, but does give rise to questions (hard to explain without giving a spoiler) Overall the movie is a change from the over acted, over SFX'd and over budgeted offerings coming from Hollywood, and one should remember that it is Director Andrew Goths second production, and all have to start somewhere, incidentally his next movie Gallowwalker has Wesley Snipes as the lead, so someone, somewhere has fronted some cash, trusting Goth's skills
