Ultraman Blazar the Movie: Tokyo Kaiju Showdown (2024)
Doesn't feel like a movie but I love the ending. The cutest ending I've ever seen in Ultraman movie history
After Taguchi said that the whole series is just a prologue, I was like ... Seriously? 😭💔 When I'm watching the movie, yes, honestly, I don't feel like it as the movie at all. I wish there's more of Blazar. We need season 2, guys! But I do like the ending. The cutest I must say in Ultraman movie history <3 that's why I'm hoping there's a sequel of movie. I am willing to wait in case there is a sequel to the Blazar series in the future. There are a lot of things that we need to explore like M421 (home world of Blazar and Firdran) is 441 million light-years away from Earth while Nebula M78 is just three million light-years away from Earth. So basically, they can't return or Blazar doesn't even know how to go back to his home world lol. But they mentioned about Ultraman that being found from the astronauts. So who's that Ultraman that they found? 👀 So that's one of the plot holes. Another interesting plot hole that being discussed and become a theory among fans. What is exactly Blazar is doing in that facility? Is he really lost to the wormhole as theorized by fans? And is it Gento is the who chose Blazar as his partner-ultra by coincidence? So many plot holes and questions. I don't mind to watch the movie so many times by the way, I love the ending, especially. Also, I'm hoping they keep the comedy though in case there's a sequel XD.
Ultraman Blazar (2023)
It does has Showa and Heisei vibe. Especially, Heisei
Definitely one of my favorite series Ultraman. To be honest, this is one of the best. Never could imagine that the captain would be a MC and it's the first time in history lol. I love how Blazar basically is back to basic and how very unique he is, other than Ultraman. The interactions between the characters, it feels so natural especially in episode 14. Although, the series doesn't require a long fight between Blazar and the kajiu, but the message and the story that they want to deliver is definitely received by the audiences. Also, the conflict between Gento and Blazar starting in episode 10, is one of the unexpected plot for me because I think in Ultraman franchise so far, the conflict between the host and the Ultraman is never happen because the host and the Ultraman suddenly become a friend/partner in a short time. So, in Ultraman Blazar, is quite different since Blazar himself can't communicate in human language unless he's talking through Gento. Anyway, it's definitely worth watching, even for not a fan of Ultraman can watch it since it seems Ultraman Blazar is not tied by to any of other Ultraman. Let's hype this series, folks!
