The Banshees of Inisherin (2022)
Bummer of a movie
Not entertaining. The movie is a bummer in every way from the atmosphere and landscape right down to the story. Such a waste of time. Can't believe it was up for an oscar! Just because you acted well in a crappy movie doesn't mean it is award worthy.
I usually rate movies on if I would watch it again and this movie is not re watchable. I barely made it thru the first time. My girlfriend fell asleep and now she gets to choose which movie we watch next cuz she thought it was that bad. I should have known this would have been bad as the other movie these two were, In Bruges I think it was. They seem to have good chemistry but can't seem to find the right script.
And for the 10 stars reviews? Gimme a break!

Don't ever say "turn your brain off & enjoy"
I hate it when our viewers say "turn your brain off to enjoy this movie". Essentially they are saying you would have to be an idiot to watch it. What's worse is then they give it a 7-8 score. So are you saying if you were brain dead it's an 8?
Stoopid!
Everything was so ridiculous about this movie that I just couldn't stop eye rolling out of the pure nonsense. It seriously gave me a headache from just the involuntary eye rolling that at one point I just had to turn it off. The movie was so bad I turned it off during the end climax scenes. I just couldn't take anymore my headache was that bad and this movie was even worse. From the story line to the acting to the dialogue there is nothing good to say about this movie so save your time and move on. Is Mark Wahlberg the new Nicolas cage? Does he need the money that desperately?

Please Make More!!!!!
Yes that's five exclamation points!
I generally rank TV shows or even movies by how often I would rewatch them, and this show I have already rewatched twice. I see a lot of people complain about this show and feel this is attributed to the anime die hard fans. The show was a lot of fun and the Dynamics between the characters was really well developed. I was really excited to see the second season and was completely bummed when I heard it was canceled by Netflix. Netflix please bring this back as it was a really great show.

Cultural Appropriation ~ Where is cancel culture outcry now?
Where is the cancel culture outcry now? Or do you think it only goes one way?
The acting was okay, but I couldn't get past the fact that the producers and directors were trying to use shock value to get attention for a story that's been told in better ways. It just seems so.... exculpatory.
We tried watching it a couple times over a week and really couldn't get past the third episode before we gave up as we would never really watch it and it just became background noise. If you really have to have the TV on I'd recommend professional golf as it is better to have that in the background.
