"1) Why did they kill the real brother of Dasha (Offcource to let Kot go n kill him outside the prison so no suspicion... but wouldn't it just be easier to "just" kill Kot like they killed Dashas brother and let the brother live (offcource than the movie would be 20 min long, but still its pretty stupid decision by the prison authority)" They killed her brother so they could give Kot his documents and get him out of the prison (Dasha's brother's sentence was about to end). They wanted to free Kot because they were paid to by Kot's friend on the outside...eh...Dimon.
"2) Who the hell would want to kill Kot? It obviously was some fat "businessman", but what was the motives? He was involved in killing of FSB agent but it seemed like no1 knew about it... or maybe its cos of that situation on a petrol station? I thought it was Dimon, but than he died protecting him so that was really great start of the movie. Buslov was thinking a lot on that i guess. As far as i can see no1 had serious reason to kill Kot." The cops wanted to kill Kot because he was too much of a liability, if he was caught by police again the whole thing about his release from prison would come back to haunt the cops who freed him. Aka if he is caught his fake passport (the one with Dasha's brother's name) isn't going to fly and that would start an investigation that eventually would lead to the prison cops who were paid to free him and who killed Dasha's brother.
"3) Kot wanted to start over but wouldn't it be easier to sell his half of car show room than let the girl rob tourist agency? He knew she was desperate at that stage of her life... he could predict she would do smthn stupid..." That question doesn't really make much sense.
"4) When he met her, why didn't he just tell her the truth straight away? Or he could just give her a letter n say that her bro is dead n then leave..." He felt responsible for her brother's death, because her brother was killed because of him.
Now my own opinion, honestly I liked the first one better, the second one was kind of kind of riding on the tittle a little bit even though it is still a worthy movie to watch.
Brigada (2002)
Masterpiece
Yes this is in retaliation to sbobyr's comment. What he seems to have missed is that Brigada doesn't sugar coat things it shows the raw reality of what life was like in the 90s in Russia. My father who was just starting up his first business with his friends after ending his service in the Navy at the time had to deal with a lot of the things in the movie, in the end he didn't go the criminal road but thats beyond the point. Those 4 guys could have been made more noble, they could have been made more Robin Hoodish but that would basically ruin the movie by removing the realistic approach taken by its director and writers. This is how life was in the 90s, minus a few minor details (Pchelka's hair was a bit too long for the Bratva standards for example). A true masterpiece, have just finished watching it for the second time about half an hour ago and once again I must say that this is one of the best mini-series I have ever seen Russian or American.
Snakes on a Plane (2006)
Wow, just wow
Alright, so I watched this movie a while ago now came out of the theater very disappointed but got over it. Now I look through the IMDb at 3:54 in the morning and decided "hey, why not look up that shitty Snakes on the plane movie I watched last year?" and so I did....and wow. People seem to actually like it, I don't know why, I really don't. Not to offend anyone but that movie seems to have been made for people with lower when average IQ, it got everything a "special" person needs, fast movements, bright colors, etc. Okay so the plot is that a guy sees another guy get killed and those guys that killed that other guy now want to kill the main character guy and Samuel L. Jackson is the tough motherfucking cop who's supposed to save the main character guy. Okay when, first of all, why snakes? Those criminals were complete and utter morons, instead of putting explosives on a plane, they put snakes and special flowers WITH explosives on the plane. The question is...why? A bigger bomb would do much better and where are ways to hide a bomb even from dogs and other types of detection plus they already had a small bomb in there in the first place! Alright when the movie goes on about snakes attacking and people getting killed all so fake and idiotic I can't describe it. And at the end we have everyone happy, almost ready to sing their little hearts out, nevermind the fact that most people on that plane have in fact died. Oh I liked the moment when the Pulp Fiction Sam L. Jackson showed up for a second "I am tired of these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!" thats why I went to see the movie...but otherwise, this movie's director should be shot, the plague of snake movies is already spreading, next the snakes attack, oh yes, on a train.
