The Fall of Camp Blood (2022)
Another great F13 fan film!
As a long time subscriber to Slash 'N Cast on YouTube, I was excited to hear of a Friday the 13th fan film being written and directed by Riley Lorden who hosts the channel following the events of one of my personal favorites in the franchise: Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter.
The film brings one of the darkest tones I've seen in recent years to the fan film scene with great cinematography, acting, the score, and kills that are more than enough to send a shiver up your spine. They really knocked it out of the park with this film and Peter Anthony's performance was incredible bringing such intensity to his role that made him just as intimidating as Jason if not even more so on his quest for revenge.
I highly recommend The Fall of Camp Blood to anyone who is a fan of the franchise with two big thumbs up!
Rose Blood: A Friday the 13th Fan Film (2021)
Great follow up to The New Blood!
From the moment I discovered Rose Blood I was immediately hooked as I not only found the premise of others having the same powers as Tina Shephard interesting, it also follows up on one of my favorite entries in the series bringing back the likes of not only Lar Park Lincoln herself but also Kevin Spirtas, Terry Kiser, and Harry Manfredini to conduct the score as well. Tension continues to build throughout the film and when Jason appears (being portrayed by Jason Brooks who never fails to deliver), all hell breaks loose and it becomes a struggle for everyone to stay alive while the General conducts his own twisted experiments resulting in an unexpected cross over!
I couldn't help but smile at the multitude of easter eggs as well and highly recommend the film for any fan of the Friday the 13th film series or horror in general as Rose Blood delivers on everything you could ask for. I definitely give it two thumbs way up!!
