Coco (I) (2017)
10/10
My g-d, you could see the peach fuzz on Miguel's face! Amazing.
8 January 2018
I (knew) very little about Mexican tradition and I knew absolutely nothing about the film Coco except for a few trailers I saw on TV but decided to see it after a few friends raved about it on facebook.

I went to a matinee by myself. I bought my ticket, got my popcorn and I even brought in a few tissues because I was warned I might cry. well, 10 minutes into the film tears were pouring down my cheeks. Not because of anything sad. Because of how absolutely BEAUTIFUL the film was. A remarkable touching story, remarkable details! A movie about life and death that is so colorful, so absorbing, so poignant, and so approachable for kids, and with so many layers upon layers upon layers of meaning and significance for adults.

Pixar did an amazing job. I absolutely fell in love with adorable Miguel and his street dog Dante. My god, you could see the peach fuzz on Miguel's face! You could feel the intricate finger movements while playing a worn-out guitar you could see the minuscule pores and imperfections of the bones. and the COLORS! the visually gorgeous bright colors, like the rich orange cempazúchitl flowers-known in English as marigolds and the paper banners called Papel Picado - (Tissue paper with cut-out shapes put on altars to represent air.)

Coco might be the most beautifully animated, wonderful movie I have ever seen. It's a visual marvel, a musical phenomenon and had many really emotional moments that by the end of the movie I WISHED I had brought in an entire BOX of Kleenex! It was that good.

Everyone should see this movie to remind them that death is not something to be afraid of for it is a part of our life that everyone will undergo someday, that no one ever truly dies, as long as someone still remembers them in their memories, forever and ever.

Now i know why IMDb removed it's Message Boards
5 November 2017
BECAUSE PEOPLE WOULD TEAR THIS APART! I went to see this yesterday for some Christmas cheer and I got this piece of crap excuse for a holiday movie. This film was written by the two men behind The Hangover series. It revolves around Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, and Kathryn Hahn and the arrival of their mothers Susan Sarandon, Cheryl Hines and Christine Baranski. ALL ACTRESS WHOM I ADORE! But the script was just stupid stupid stupid. NOT funny and the characters downright unlikable. I absolutely love the actress Kathryn Hahn but having her and her mom (Susan Sarandon) out in front of a store with a basket that says "Canned goods donations" where they proceed to aggressively STEAL GROCERIES from the bags of people who exit the store, open a bottle of wine and drink it in the parking lot makes them not only UNLIKEABLE but not funny and pathetic. Why in the HELL would I root for these characters?

And when Mila Kunis' character tears down the X-mas tree her mother put up with "ornaments from the Titanic" and destroys everything her mother did? The only thing I was thinking was "Wow what an A**hole". HATED THIS MOVIE and I'm sure the actresses who probably just needed a paycheck did too.

3 stars for the cast and the pretty set decorations.

One Mississippi (2015–2017)

Loved it.
17 February 2017
Have you seen ONE MISSISSIPPI? I binged watched the entire season one last night and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND it. Inspired by comedian Tig Notaro's life it's a smart, intermittently hilarious, well-written comedy (dramedy) that's occasionally a downer with intervals of great deadpan jokes. The show has everything! death, cancer, intestinal disease and a missing cat. I'm a Tig fan and great to see Shira Piven directed episode 6 of season one. Also, the executive producer is Louis C.K.

I can't wait for season Two!

Like watching Mylie Cyrus and Sharon Stone fall in love
10 May 2011
BLOOMINGTON Is generally worth avoiding.

Jackie is a former child star trying to fit into college. Almost immediately she meets Professor Catherine Stark (McAtee), a sexy psychology professor with a reputation for bedding female undergrads. After a few stolen glances and a single conversation the two crawl between the sheets. I will admit their first kiss was as HOT as any kiss i've ever seen on screen!!! I just did not know where it came from? After the requisite sex scenes and laughing and cooking together and reveling in all the fun they are having, they (you guessed it) fall in love.

Watching lesbian movies is like having your girlfriend cook you dinner. No matter what it tastes like you are going to love it because you know how much care and effort she put into it. There is the definite possibility that the green bean casserole she just whipped up is going to be pretty awful. The thing is, every once in a while it isn't half bad. This is how I feel about lesbian movies. I watch them the whole time hoping I don't have to cover my eyes for another embarrassing round of boring plot lines, terrible acting and an endless loop of the one Ani Difranco song the producers could get the rights to.

Bloomington starts promisingly but too much of the film is hard to swallow, from the casual way it treats an ethically-questionable sexual relationship between student and teacher to its somewhat anti-climactic ending.

It's not the worst lesbian film I've ever seen. but I struggled trying to figure out why this sexy, smoldering, intelligent professor would go after, I'm sorry, a kid.

So, I'm at the Blockbuster today with my partner and we liked the DVD cover...BUT
12 July 2009
Film making 101:

Sorry. I have seen a lot of lesbian themed films and I REALLY WANTED TO LIKE THIS. Don't get me wrong its not the worst film ever made ...but the premise was so confusing!?! The DVD jacket says "Forced to Deny their Feelings" WHAT?! when? Their first kiss was so, ew, cold. no heat. I never once got a feeling these women were "hot" for each other. I never once got the sense that they were attracted to each other.

FAULT #1: LOW BUDGET. You can always tell low budget by the long single shots at say, a table, or washing dishes with no cut always. CLOSE UPS could have provided some intimate moments between the 2 women.

FAULT #2: WEIRD SCRIPT? (HUGE RELIGIOUS OVERTONES) WHO was this film made for?

FAULT #3 : When how and why am I supposed to believe these women both turned lezbo and the way it unfolded was sooooo BAD Made-for-TV awkward and not believable. I found myself with my jaw opened several times yelling out loud "oh hell no that did NOT just happen?!"

PLUS: GOOD ACTORS. Rachel Owens, Kathleen Benner and I did like the lead male in particular, Jose Rosete, who was portrayed as a compassionate, loving, hard working guy and not a jerk (as in, say, Thelma and Louise). This I appreciated.

PLUS: The kid actors I hope careers continue cuz' they shined for being in an awkward kind of weird lesbian low budget film.

KUDOS TO the actress who played "Geri" (I think Amber Ryan)? who played the extreeemely "stereotypical dyke" who although her acting was troubled by the direction or decision of grabbing her crotch (gross) I thought would have been more fun if the character was say, a ghost? or the main characters angel or subconscious or something.

Que Sera Sera. In conclusion: A for effort to the director, producer and all involved. BUT DO NOT EXPECT MUCH. THE ARE FAR BETTER Gay films our there. Just hope they keep making 'em.

Very funny short film
27 March 2009
I saw this a few years ago at a film festival. Basically 2 women meet, fall in love, move in together, break up and by the end...well, right back searching for their next victim, er, "true love". The entire relationship is played out in a very clever way set to a romantic 1960's pop song with absolutely no dialog until the end credits. The characters and scenarios say it all, and sadly yes, the "stereo types" are oh, so true. This film was a lot of fun! There were lots of laughs starting with the first date, the honeymoon phase shifting right to the couples counselor. There is a cameo appearance by comedian Suzanne Westenhofer at the end. "Do you like cats!?" Very funny. The title implies that we've all been through that rip-your-heart-out and step on it relationship. Straight or gay, we can all relate to seeking true love.

Unless you are a cast or crew member STAY AWAY!!!
16 October 2008
Send 4 smart ass babes who interact all lesbian with each other for no real reason to a cabin in the middle of no where. Send 4 creepy Texas Chainsaw Massacre type guys to the cabin so they can torture them! Gross shock and blood peppered with attempts at humor. BUT WAIT! The lezbos are vampire witches!?!? YAY! LET THE REVENGE BEGIN!! Throw in a couple of Hillbillies and 2 Keystone cops, dicks getting bitten and shot off an you have the perfect blood and babe gore fest! I feel sorry for all the actresses (and some actors) involved. I now know people will agree to ANYTHING to get a credit on IMDb. Marc Senter as Caleb was very good. (wished his character was in it longer) and kudos getting Al Jourgensens music and some of the special effects (head in microwave for example)...but other than that.......Unless you are a crew or cast member STAY AWAY!

Not a bad little THRILLER.
9 September 2008
Pretty good actually!

Pluses: Smokingly hot Lenor Varela as Maria, Charismatic Jeffery Donovn as Paul, Handsome Waylon Payne as Ron, Long time character favorite Richard Riehle as Peter.

Minuses: Miranda Bailey as Dina.

In nut shell: Dina and Ronnie are vagabond shysters who live out of a stolen truck. Dina gets pregnant from her "seemingly sweet" but shady boyfriend played by the remarkable somewhat new comer Waylon Payne (Jerry Lee Lewis in "Walk the Line"). Thru the internet they find a couple that can't have children. This couple has money. Lots of money. Here the drama unfolds. They plan to sell the baby to the rich couple but have "ulterior motives".

The film is actually very clever. Lots of plot twists. Lots of thrills. Everyone in this film does a great job. My only problem was Miranda Bailey. She is JUST NOT a LEADING LADY. Unless you just happen to run the production company Ambush Entertainment that made this film. (Ahh, now it makes sense). She is a fine actor. No problems in that department but in comparison to the top notch performances of those performing next to her she makes this look more like a student film rather than the low budget film festival circuit independent that it is. She is not a leading lady. Sorry no offense. It got pretty creepy at the end!! But I don't know how Dina would have survived what Maria did to her so I was a bit confused? But "A for effort". It's certainly better than any film I've ever made.

Fantastic MOCUMENTARY ! -much like Christopher Guest films .
3 April 2007
Can I just say that I love this film, in the same way that I love Waiting For Guffman and Best In Show. It made me laugh out loud and it made me wince with embarrassment for the characters. A BRILLIANT cast of British comedy actors deliver deadpan dialogue in this highly amusing mockumentary.

Now, I noticed some posts said "Americans won't get the "Brittish humor", that couldn't be farther from the truth! Im an American and a big fan of "good mocumentarys" and this film certainly ranked right up there at the cream of the crop of comedy.

There's Matt and Sam who want a Hollywood musical wedding in the style of Busby Berkley.

Josef and Isabelle who are highly competitive tennis players who want a Wimbledon-style wedding.

Michael and Joanne who want to get married in the buff because they're naturists.

The fourth and funniest couple are wedding planners Heron & Hough, Excessively camp who describe themselves as "mad as cheese". They have the most difficult job of trying to make each couple's dream become reality. Each character was more twisted than the next including the competition organizer Vivien and Antoni who were duly concerned about the size of Isabelle's nostrils, and the cat fighting sister and mother of Sam.

Political correctness should take a back seat and say "I DO" to this highly exaggerated comedy of errors. 10 out of 10.

!!! A BEAUTIFUL FILM !!! 10 out of 10
16 November 2006
I loved this movie! i saw it in 1991 in Amsterdam while on vacation in a little dingy movie house that sold beer and it had dutch subtitles so it was quite an emotional and memorable feeling all the way around. I remember falling in love with everything about it. so heart wrenching. Some of the best acting i have ever seen.

All of the performances are amazing, but Kerry Fox should have won an Oscar! She was nothing short of brilliant. The little chubby red head girl (Alexia Keogh) was also outstanding and i was surprised no, shocked seeing she has no other credits on IMDb. She was better than any child star working in Hollywood today.

There are moments in the film that transcend motion picture film-making. Jane Campion is a serious artist as was Frame and it's truly a shame that so few people seem to know about it judging from the few user comments. I consider this film true cinematic art. I remember leaving the theater with my friend and not being able to speak it moved us so much. It haunted me in a way no film ever has before. Maybe it was being in Amserdam? Maybe it was the beer? No, it was the film.

Fatal Attraction meets Psycho meets The Stepford Wives
28 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
First before I start with my comment I have to say I oddly have NEVER seen Angie Harmon (who plays the mother/wife Eve Goode) act. but WOW, I WAS IMPRESSED and will look for her in future.

Looking amazingly like Ali MacGraw in Love Story she was beautiful yet calculating, creepy and just plain deranged. A perfect female villain ala Fatal Attraction meets Psycho meets The Stepford Wives. Things begin innocently enough with a mysterious disappearance of a little boy, the son of seemingly loving parents but before long we sense not all is right with this mother. Lets just say she loves her cleaning supplies!

We next meet two children who have apparently just lost their parents and (although a little unclear in the plot) are Fostered by the mourning parents "the Goodes" (clever title juxtaposition). Before long Eves evil ways start to show (the dish washing scene is particularly disturbing) the Teenage girl clashes with the tight "house rules" and as her little brother begins to mysteriously get sick the rebellious protective sister's suspicion begins.

WARNING ****PROBABLY CONTAINS BIG SPOILERS*****

Based on characters created by Wesley Strick (who wrote the screenplay for "Cape Fear" and "Arachnophobia") I was intrigued to research Munchausen's Syndrome or Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy. the disease we find the creepy lead character "may" have.

Background on the disease: From 1972 to 1985, all 9 children of Marybeth Tinning of Schenectady, N.Y. died in infancy. At first, friends and physicians assumed they were victims of "crib death" or an inexplicable genetic flaw. As the deaths continued, suspicion mounted against the mother, who was always alone when her babies were stricken. It's oddly more common than people are aware. basically Munchausen's Syndrome by Proxy is where women kill their own children for the attention they receive.

This was a pretty good film but i have to say a few things frustrated me - number 1 - why would hubby played by the handsome Joel Gretsch go along and seemingly "cover" his wife's psychotic behavior as if he was almost an accomplice and 2, why the Caseworker (played by a very likable Tasha Smith) did not pick up the fact apparently "several" kids have died or gone missing under the care of this couple.

Enjoyable enough it will be worth watching as a Movie of the Week on Television someday. 7 out of 10 stars.

Stewardess get me a pillow this is going to be a long flight.
28 December 2005
The first hour had me but as the film dragged on I didn't really care anymore. Planes, planes planes, wash hands, planes, wash hands, planes, wash hands... The choice of Leonardo Di Caprio to play Howard Hughes seemed logical for the first scenes when Hughes was in his 20s but as he progresses into his 30s and 40s Di Caprio cannot shake off those boyish young looks taking away much of the believability and his constant forced furrowed brow really bugged me. I wanted to yell "Leo stop squinting!" Cate Blanchett i found interesting and her slight over caricature of Kate Hepburn didn't bother me. John C. Reilly (always on top form) and the use of Technicolour for the scenes set in the 30s is ambitious as is some of the cinematography.

Unfortunately we learn little about Hughes which for a biopec is pretty pointless. We don't get any insight to how his parents founded his empire, how much he was actually worth, why he suffered from mental illness and compulsive cleanliness or what inspired him to become a visionary engineer. In the end the story just waaayy toooo slooooow and i reverted to forwarding past the boring conversations in the hope of something interesting...it never came. As much as I wanted to like it put both my girlfriend and I to sleep and we turned it off before the end. 5 YAWNS.

Laughing Matters (2004 Video)

Pretty Funny Women
27 December 2005
These women are funny. The sixty minute documentary (a first for director Andrea Meyerson) gives us hilarious performance footage blended with behind-the-scenes interviews with comedians Kate Clinton, Karen Williams, Marga Gomez and Suzanne Westenhoefer. They talk about everything from politics, girlfriends, ex-girlfriends, religion, Christmas presents, first jobs, aging, Martha Stewart and of course sex. Laughing Matters will remind everyone why it is so important to laugh and so important to be who you are. Stand-up is best served live with a couple a beers and the energy of the audience laughter but the intelligent and humorous interviews with these four women made it worth the watch. 8 out of 10 stars.

"Is getting drunk the answer?.... No, but it makes you forget the question"
24 August 2005
The story involves Jason (Moore) and Phoebe (Steenburgen) as a couple of Broadway playwrights who collaborate on some hits and a few misses, while trying to overlook the fact that they have fallen in love at first sight. The following dialog i really liked and I really had my hopes up for this being an interesting film. He interviews her for potential partnership. Jason: "I have some questions Ms. Craddock do plan on getting married?

Phoebe: Eventually

Jason: That's not good enough.

Phoebe: I'm sorry I didn't know this was an exam.

Jason: The point is I don't wan't to invest in a partnership and then suddenly have you get the urge to become a nursing mother.

Phoebe: I see.

Jason: No you don't! You don't know a damn thing about the Theatre! The working conditions are intolerable the people you have to deal with are ego-centric maniacs and its filled with rejections on every level. When you're writing comedy the opposite of success isn't failure it's embarrassment and it's very public Ms.Craddock, they write HEADLINES".

Rooted firmly in the early-1980's comedy mindset of "divorce plus adultery plus Dudley Moore equals entertainment," The two leads spark little chemistry together, Romantic Comedy is neither romantic nor comedic, but I give it 5 out of 10 only because Dudly Moore and Mary Steenburgen ARE good actors and fun to watch despite the weak plot.

It's time the world heard her side of the story.
17 August 2005
The funny and talented Jane Lynch plays Blanche Monroe, an out of work soap actress. When her stepdaughter is discovered by a Hollywood agent Blanche's jealousy drives her to the brink of some very clever on screen moments. A cute, modern and funny and twist on the Snow White fairytale, 'Memoirs of an Evil Stepmother' is a dark campy comedy about our culture's obsession with youth and beauty. Chicago alumni Jane Lynch who wrote and starred in the very funny award-winning play "Oh Sister, My Sister!" is one great talent to watch out for and for a first time director Cherien Dabis shows quite a promising future. A fun short little film worth seeing if you can get in on a compilation video.

Tries to be South Park - Misses by a mile. A horrible waste of good animation - Awful - PARENTS BE WARNED!
10 August 2005
Holy Crap! did THAT just happen? did he just say THAT! Is this for kids?! Columbia Tristar what the...*? Examples of what i'd put in a cute little Holiday film. 1.) Davie (who we are supposed to have sympathy for) pushes Whitey a crippled man down a hill in a porto-potty and sh*t literally is all over him. Cute deer lick said sh*t. 2.) Whitey has several seizures and they laugh hysterically and song lyrics contain "can I walk around with my morning ERECTION", 3.) Old spinster Eleanore actually says to Whitey "did he force you to bring him here so he could MOLEST you?" A three breasted woman breast feeding 3 babies WHAA.. ? Stop already I'm laughing too hard. Too bad - the Animation ABSOLUTELY STUNNING and this could have been a nice holiday film for kids but Davie is evil, unlikable and pathologically violent. Of course the movie gets wrapped up in eventual obligatory peace and goodwill, but if there was ever a movie where the upbeat ending feels like a cop-out, this is the one. I can understand why Sandler tried "South Park" territory (which i love) but South Park is actually intelligent compared to this! Why he had to link it to Christmas and Hanukkah I don't know. This film is just angry and pointlessly vulgar. BE WARNED!! F for fart. heh heh she said fart.

A clever and funny BUNCH of short films
29 July 2005
I love this idea - taking scenes from classic popular "straight" films, we grew up with and re shooting them with gay characters. I saw all these films at a Film Festival recently and the audience was howling! Some were hysterical - "Hung Frankenstein", "Gay Graduate", "Reservoir Dykes", "Taxi Lesbian" (a parody of Taxi Driver) and "Gay on Golden Pond" which was lovely. The various directors did a great job of bringing the exact "look" to the films. Some of the original dialogue was changed just enough to make them fit to the characters and the changes were very funny. I found this series of shorts quite well made and refreshing!

80's cheeze ball .....similar to "About Last Night".......
14 July 2005
I liked some parts of this film mostly because of its Chicago location shots, But I thought the film's production values were very low budget for a Hollywood film. It really looks reminiscent of a made-for-TV movie. The overlaid 80's Casio keyboard soundtrack for example, made this film seem (well what it is) very very 80's cheese. Watching it i couldn't help think immediately of "About Last Night" a GREAT film! How can two films both shot in Chicago, the same year (1986), and both films a Tri-Star production look so completely different!?! In a nutshell my favorite actor in this film was Eva Marie Saint who indeed gave a saint of a performance - The scene of her talking to her husband (Gleason) in the hospital, spilling her guts "What Happened to us Max? I cared, I know I cared" and Max's reply was a self-centered cold, "Bullshit". God I felt her pain. It ripped my heart out. Don't rent this film but if it comes on TV on a Sunday afternoon you may get thru it but then go out immediately and rent "About Last Night" to cheer you up. This one is a BIG DOWNER.

** Great Soundtrack ** Great Acting ** Best if you're over 35**
13 July 2005
I just saw this movie for the first time today and I was so absolutely impressed how FUN it was. The absurd explanations as to what 'may' have gone on during the Watergate scandal?! funny funny funny! Michelle Williams I was particularly impressed with. Her fumbling 15 year old quirks and adolescent insecurities were right on target and I really connected with her character. Myself being only about 9 years old when Watergate happened, I even found myself 'googling' the actual trial and the *real* facts just to re-familiarize myself with what now just seems a sort of faded time warp. Reading the *real* events I found myself feeling patriotic remembering a time that seemed so long ago (Vietnam etc.) but then sadly realizing here we are right smack dab doing what we thought we'd never repeat. (Iraq). But hey, this is supposed to be a Positive review of the film so lets get back on the soul train. I have to say I LOVED the soundtrack!!!! each song was a total flashback of my childhood. "Popcorn" by Hot Butter - "Hooked on a Feeling" by Blue Suede - "Come and Get Your Love" by Redbone - and esp "Loves Theme" by Love Unlimited Orchestra with that sexy unforgettable wakka wakka guitar sound and sadly outdated violin orchestra. Do yourself a favor. Rent this film if you want to enjoy a 90 minute flashback of a very clever send up of of real event. 9 out of 10

"A" for effort .... but her live performance was better
30 June 2005
I cant believe how few people posted comments!? (original post June 2005) Thats just shows that not many people care about this film...and thats sad. I had the privilege to see her perform her 1 woman show LIVE w-a-a-a-y back in1988 (or so? i cant remember) and it was HYSTERICAL!!!! She is a fantastic writer and stand up comic. The live audience laughter was infectious and I remember thinking she was a brilliant performer. But somehow seeing the same monologues performed on film spoken in a smoky Jazz nightclub to a less than enthusiastic crowd of actors (who probably had a very hard time keeping a straight face) was just not as funny. Sandra If you read this PLEASE PERFORM THIS SHOW LIVE AGAIN. IT'S TIME. or maybe you have. I'm going to look out for you more now.

(POST UPDATE: Film is being shown at OUTFEST Los Angles July 2009 YAY!!!).

The title is AWFUL but the film is .........
15 June 2005
I had to watch this film recently and expected to see HORROR film. A SEVERED HEAD!? h-e-l-l-o? Only to find out this is a comedy... I THINK? Very dry, very British. The confusing title would be explained at the end of the film as the character Honor quotes:

"Go back to reality Martin,... I am an object of terrible fascination to you, A Severed Head such as primitive tribes used putting a morsel of gold on it's tongue to make it utter prophecies, as real people you and i do not exist for one and other."

I know, huh? I didn't get the correlation either. Seeing there are only 3 user comments (at the time of this review) I feel bad for so many films like this. So many thousands of films that took so long to make and so many actors gave great performances only to fall into the abyss of obscurity. Worth watching though if only for Lee Remick who is absolutely stunning and quite a skilled dead pan comic.

why has no one EVER commented on this film?
22 March 2005
There is not even a brief outline? Maybe because it's a typical 1950 B Pirate movie. Pirate guy meets unlikable bad guy meets sexy Spanish girl. Odd British accents, weak sword fights and over the top acting abound. The only reason i even looked up this film was to find out the background of one semi-annoying typical Spanish character actor. Alfonso Bedoya who played "Carmilio" the Prison Overseer. To my surprise Bedoya was accomplished indeed. In The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) Bedoya delivered the famous line about not needing any "stinking badges". He made a number of popular films in the U.S. but a drinking problem destroyed his health. He died at the age of 53. I don't need to go on about the film as no one will probably ever read this. Apparently this film is not popular at all. However! I now have a new respect for the actor i wanted to dislike. Thanks IMDb.

Blind Date (I) (1999–2006)
I Love This Show
29 January 2005
I wish it was on more. The "thought bubbles" are ingenious. hysterical! Who ever you have writing for your show I wish was my best friend. Without the thought bubbles the show would not be bearable to watch. I even purchased the "Blind Date Uncensored" video and i never buy videos I like the show that much. A fine collection of LA's best oafs, morons and Village idiots. Sometimes the dates work out and thats nice. But its amazing to see how many people will act like an ass on national television. Roger Lodge, keep up the good work! OK, I do have to ask one more favor from my room mate..., bring back the lesbian episodes they were great!

Huh??
27 January 2005
Well I didn't get it. nope, nada, nothing. I had to sit thru the dubbed German to English version "Group Portrait With A Lady". Overall sound quality was horrible but even ignoring that it just made no sense?! It begins at what looks like the 1970's but then blink your back in 1940's Nazi Germany then blink your back in the 70's (due to the lead character Lenni's normal hair in one scene and gray in the next?) I think it flashed back and forth the entire film. I was so confused i didn't know what the hell was happening. Big ole'waste of my time. Romy Schnieder was pretty though. I never heard of her so I looked her up - wow she was in a lot of films even Rowen and Martin's Laugh-in. Wonder what she did on that?. Maybe it makes better sense in German? 2 out of 10

Tabitha (1976–1978)
Possibly the worst sitcom ever
25 January 2005
As another person wrote What WERE they thinking?! Lisa Hartman was very cute in 1977 but her acting was just plain bad. Perhaps the director told her eye rolling, pouting, huffing and over reacting to "frustrating" situations is funny. I'm also wondering if she was told to try to act like and mimic the wonderful Elizabeth Montgomery as her vocal inflections and reactions are suspiciously very similar. OK It was 1977 a long, long, long time ago so I will cut it some slack. If you watch it for the time warp factor alone (The clothes, the bad disco music, the cheesy laugh track, and the horribly written dialog complete with lines like "Right On" "Foxy Mama" and "Shed those groovy threads") its bearable. Other than that her brother Adam (who i really don't remember much in the original Bewitched) is a dweeb, Aunt Minerva is obnoxious at best and Robert Urich seems completely out of place. Its filmed very similar to many of the TV shows of the 70's - like Wonder Woman the music swells at every commercial break and every ending has to have a close up freeze of Wonder Woman (Diane Prince) smiling and or laughing telling us stupid at home viewers that everything turned out fine. Tabitha has its same bad endings but now we forced to watch Tabitha and the rest of the cast mugging and laughing to idiotic dialog. If it ever finds it's way to TV again its worth seeing just to say I'm embarrassed for everyone involved.
