this movie is terrific. seriously. it might seem a little cliché at some points, but its really a good movie. its entertaining, and makes you laugh. better than that, it makes you smile at the end. the best kind of movies. i loved the ending, it definitely fit the movie. im often not satisfied with the endings in movies but i was with this one. i would recommend this movie to anyone. you don't need to know poker in order to understand this movie. the movie isn't really even about poker if you really look at it. plus, eric bana is not hard to look at for 2 hours.if you're looking for a movie that will make you laugh, smile, cry, and leave it feeling happy and good, this is the movie for you. definitely watch this movie. you even begin to hate robert duvall, for once.

i just saw this movie a few hours ago. i thought it was incredible. before seeing it, i read some of the comments on here to try to get a feel for what i was in for. they were very mixed. some people talked about how much they liked it & others completely bashed it.
i do not think this can be compared to "little miss sunshine" because that is a much 'deeper' movie. this is more of a feel good movie with less depth, but much funnier. i was laughing hysterically almost the entire time. & what was great that it wasn't one of those movies where all of the funny parts are shown in the coming attractions or the previews on television.
it was a genuine movie. extremely funny, and it made you appreciate what you have. i admit i cried, but i loved it. this is definitely one of my favorite movies now.
i recommend it to anyone, just go into it with an open mind. if you're expecting little miss sunshine, you'll be disappointed. if you're expecting 40 year old virgin, you'll also be disappointed.

definitely one of my favorite movies. it isn't a pointless movie. it has depth, and it forces you to think. all of the acting is excellent, and im excited for the second one. i think I've seen this movie about 50 times, and it never seems to get old. nicholas cage is terrific, although it is riley who truly makes the movie for me. i find myself hysterically laughing at the same jokes every time i watch it. his delivery and comedic timing are incredible.
all around great movie. everyone should see it. this movie is historical, with mystery and action. it fulfills almost all of the movie genres, all in one fantastic movie.

i don't understand why so many people are bashing this show. im a teenager, and i do enjoy watching this show. maybe the music isn't professional, but that isn't the point of the show. this show isn't about 30 year old professionals in a band.
it is about a bunch of kids in a band, which is what they sound like. and a good one at that.
mothers, why do you care? stop complaining that the nick execs are bad. don't watch the show. no one is forcing you. & no one is forcing your kids to watch it either.
if the think the songs are so bad, you write a song. he is like, 12 years old. and can write a 10x better song than you ever could. give these kids some credit.
