Another Wattpad fanfic
User Not Found? I wish I did not find this drama.
Are we sure this show did not come from Wattpad? Because it sure seems like it did. This was a stupid excuse for a show. The story is so bad that I cannot even wrap my head around it. Firstly, what is the so-called high standard of beauty that high schools nowadays are going by?
How is the second female lead getting bullied when literally all she did was tie her hair and wear glasses? It does not even make her look different.
While the female lead is a damsel in distress? Oh well, get in line with bad leads on their way to changing the world.
Bae Jin-Young - Another idol trying to make it as an actor.
I remember Bae Jin-Young saying he was a boring person, well oh well we certainly did not need a whole show to make us believe it.
There is no impact of whatever is happening in the show. Neither do we see any improvements in the characters or the situations.
The female lead finds a lot of excuses for why she had to lie and is superficial on a whole other level. She is an addition to a long line of female characters who did not have any real reason for being the lead or being taken seriously or being admired or even being better than any other female characters in the show.
The other characters are not so different, and I do not even remember most of them, that's how bland they were.
Everything ends happily? HOW?
I would not recommend this show to anyone.

1988>1997>1994
I started watching Reply 1994 after much consideration as I watched Reply 1988 first, and I was still trying to accept that Jung hwan and Dong-Ryong were not even given a proper ending. ( Reply 1988 will still remain my favorite among all three)
In my opinion, 1994 had the potential to be a really good addition to the reply series, but it just missed the mark in terms of its main plot theme of finding the husband.
My favorite part was when they showed 1997 characters in 1994 and how they are related. The scene couldn't have been funnier.
Staring with the plot itself of guessing who the husband is; it was clear right from the start who it was going to be. It would have been weirder if it was Chilbong or anyone else seeing how they are all so close. The main theme itself of finding who Na-Jung ends up with was very weak and there was no mystery left because of which after like the 10th episode until like the last 2 or 3 episodes it goes on very slow.
I love all the characters because they were so real. Unlike 1988 we were able to see all the characters in 2013 which was good. I loved how we were able to get to know the stories of other characters too and their life. It was really great to watch how each character was so impactful. I prefer the stories of other characters to the main leads.
Many viewers actually like and ship Sseureki and Na-Jung as a couple. My only problem with that is their chemistry that was shown in the first 2 episodes where we were made to believe they were siblings. It was actually weird how close there were shown while also fighting like true siblings. If it was not for these first few episodes, I would like them to end up together too. ( I don't mean that Chilbong and Najung would have made a good couple. They had no chemistry whatsoever. It was one-sided love in its most true form)
Also, I was not able to get behind Na-Jung's obsession for Sseureki. Any hope of shipping these 2 leads together is instantly thrown away by how obsessed she is with him at the start. I mean I get it that the story wanted to show how these immature students grow up while living with each other and everything but didn't anyone else think that her character was shown a little too immature when it came to Sseureki?
( But if you actually watch random scenes of the lead couple in the latter part of the series you will like them, some scenes are really sweet.)
To be honest towards the end the show picks up its pace and the story becomes more emotional and heart-warming. Watching 20 something adulting and live their lives as grownups. Every character had such good character development in the end. The ending was really happy.
I definitely recommend this show to whoever is starting out with the Reply series.

Not All that.
To be honest, at least this time, all of them definitely look like high school students; this is the most positive thing I have got to say about this drama.
It's basically the same plot line all over again, just with new cast and a few story changes.
All the School series seem to have a similar concept(mainly 2017), and the ones that came before at least had better engagement than this one (and a little better acting on all the actors parts - I have seen some of these people in different shows and the acting is by far the same to their previous roles)
Why are there only 2 types of students at this school; either hyperactive or the dullest/cold characters you have seen. There is seriously no in-between; I couldn't help but skip every few mins or sec because it's either too slow or just not engaging enough to keep watching. I haven't even got one character I look forward to watching in this drama; it's just time-consuming, but if you are looking forward to just watching any high school drama, and you have already gone through all that has come before this then I will recommend watching the movie "My Little Bride" and the drama "HI ! School Love On" and if you have watched these too, then go ahead and watch School 2017 again and then watch School 2021
I have still given 5 stars because I think a lot of actors have tried their best and that's about it.
Best Mistake (2019)
Better shows out there to watch.
This series does know how to copy and paste Stories, scenes, and situations you name it, they have been copying the same story for all the 3 seasons.
I don't even know where to begin by this point. They have made 3 installments of Best Mistake. Do you know what's the real mistake? This series is being renewed for the second and third time.
The first season was enough. S1 had a good chance because the story was fresh. It could have been well presented, but the characters let the showdown. The female lead is shown as a damsel in distress almost every time someone harassed her (and there are a lot of those). And every time without any reason everyone is on her side. It gets a little frustrating to watch after a point.
The male lead doesn't fit the part of a high schooler once he dyes his hair black. Clearly, he looks like someone in his 20s.
The supporting cast did its part. There was no need for the second lead in S1.
All the seasons have almost the same wavelength of emotions - dull.
The story just keeps on repeating. It also really shows that there is a fine line between being good-hearted and pure dumb.
Do you know what the real problem tho? The female lead character just doesn't do any justice to the show. There is no real reason why anyone would prefer her over all the other female characters in the show. For someone who is afraid of darkness, the female lead surely knows how to get herself locked in dark rooms every season.
I don't even want to talk about the idols getting added every new season.
Seriously, there are better shows to watch.

Not what you expect!
In a situation when your whole world is crumbling around you, are you brave enough to risk it all? That is a question you will ask yourself while watching this series.
The story is amazing, you might be frustrated at times and at times will watch breathlessly what happens next. And you will hate the characters, but also come to like some of them. Not everything makes sense and that is alright because in apocalypse I don't think everyone will make the same choices. And this story has shown what choices this particular group of teenagers made. They decided to stay alive whatever happens and to protect what they cherish.
I had doubts when I started watching this series because neither the cast nor the plot intrigued me. Yet, I was completely engrossed after watching the first episode. The scenes are just !wow! So real!!! The moment the outbreak begins it gets max intense.
The cast has done a good job. Several characters were frustrating to watch, but in the end, that is what they wanted to portray, and they were quite successful. Even when you dislike a character, their performance will still impress you.
Despite the plot holes (and what story does not have them?), these can all be ignored as artistic freedom. (I also want to know how they are so energetic after not eating and drinking anything and fighting zombies for so long. Then again, that might be how humans would react when their lives are at stake.)
We never got a clear answer as to why some students didn't turn into full zombies (although observing story-wise, the scientist kept mentioning survival instincts, which may explain why some students mutated and hid their zombie genes).
In addition, there may be a second season based on how things were left in the last episode of season 1, so we might get answers then.
Eung-dab-ha-ra 1988 (2015)
You haven't watched it yet??
A good show makes you think about it even after it has ended.
Amongst all Reply series, I watched 1988 first, mainly for the star cast, tho now that I think about it every Reply series had a good cast.
After completing all the reply series, I can most confidently say Reply 1988 is the best on the list for many reasons. I have my share of compliments and complaints about this show.
1) Firstly the show was mainly focused on bonds between people (neighbors, friends, family, siblings) For me that was an important point why I loved this show. Unlike the previous Reply series where the focus was more on the main leads' life. (I know they showed family bonds and friendship too, but nothing compares to Reply 1988 and also in terms of showing an overall picture of life during a certain period.)
The show portrayed such warmth with all its characters, each scene will make you want to live in 1988 when times were simpler.
2) The cast did an amazing job of showing what friendship actually is. It was never cringy or too blunt. Seeing them just leaves you with a sense of peace. Even when Deok-Sun likes someone from the group, the teenage love/crush shown was so innocent that you end up rooting for it.
3) The show had such great moments that you will be focused on what happened during 1988/89 rather than present time 2015 where we see an older version of Deok-Sun and Choi Taek.
4) I think Lee Il-Hwa and Sung Dong-il had their best roles as parents in 1988 amongst all the reply series.
5) In a much larger sense, I feel it was honest of the writers to not show all the characters together in the end, unlike other Reply series.
6) I love how in reality it was never a who gets the girl kind of situation ever between Taek and Jung-hwan, there was no pretentiousness between characters, it is heartwarming enough to make you cry when you feel sad for anyone. A true coming of age drama in the times without the internet and people were more connected in real life than in reel life.
7) The ending was truly sad, the moment they showed Deok-sun entering that room again that started the whole series, it was as if I never wanted to let go of 1988. Nostalgia in its truest form.
Even though I have many more compliments for Reply 1988 I have complaints too.
1) Starting with the choice of husband.
I loved Choi Taek in the series for how purely innocent and lovable he was, but it's hard to side with a guy who wasn't present for more than or almost 60% of the show. I do think I am biased for Jung-Hwan because I love him. He was perfect in every way and did things for Deok-sun without telling anyone. He gave the worst case of second lead syndrome ever. Now, when I think about any other actor who played a second lead, I don't feel as sad as I did for Jung-Hwan.
I really hoped that Deok-Sun would end up with Jung-hwan for honest reasons. They actually made a good pair, and the future husband gave vibes that he is Jung-hwan. They had good chemistry. It was heartbreaking to see Jung-hwan confessing his feelings, later on, only to say he was kidding.
The only silver lining is that Hyeri and Jun-yeol are actually dating in real life, and that makes me really happy.
2) We did not get any kind of closure for what happened to Jung-Hwan and Dong-Ryong in the end and that breaks my heart.
For anyone still thinking about whether to watch 1988 or not, I recommend you do. It will be hard to let go of Reply 1988 even after it has ended, but you will get the feeling of having watched a really amazing show that stays with you. A great overall cast, amazing acting, over-flow of emotions, and second lead syndrome, you name it and Reply 1988 has got it.
Taineun Jiokida (2019)
A must watch for Thriller drama lovers!
So I guess there are no exact words to describe what this series is actually like.
However, if you are at all interested in psychological thrillers, you absolutely need to watch this. With 10 episodes it's an overall good show giving us the message that you can encounter danger anywhere but still try to avoid shady places and if you sense something's wrong, get out of there, RUN.
Because I never imagined this series would have such an impact, I always pushed it to the back of my queue to watch Korean dramas. Finally, I got around to watching it, and I was blown away. This series adds a lot to its appeal as a whole.
Let's begin with the story. While the story is well written, its direction is what makes it really stand out. If the cinematography and acting were any less perfect, the show would have been subpar.
As each episode passes, the character development of Jong-Woo becomes even more dramatic. It's as if we can see his whole madness unfold.
Dong-Wook and Siwan portray their characters so effortlessly, with each expression and emotion on point. Each character has performed so well that you forget this is just a show.
Having watched a few of their previous roles, I could only think of Dong-Wook and Siwan as two people with very naïve, innocent, and lovable faces made for good lead roles (romcoms!!! Assumptions, ikr). Watching their roles in this show really made me realize how effortlessly they can portray villainous characters as well.
The ending is something that we would have already imagined, and yet to watch it as it all unfolds gives an immense sense of completion.
I absolutely recommend you watch it. Though, do not go in with great expectations to find a masterpiece, the fun lies in the small details.
Ghost Doctor (2022)
Worth Watching!
I started watching this show for Kim Bum, but I was blown away by Rain. The plot itself is amazing, script-writing mind-blowing, and the acting is the icing on the cake. There are certain times when you might feel annoyed, but stick around, it gets better. The characters are super entertaining, and you are in for laughs and tears.
The show ended on a good note with everything going back into its place.
Rain and Kim Bum's bromance throughout the show was incredible. The ghost characters added those extra laughs and made all the difference.
Overall it's a feel-good kinda show with a good storyline, direction, cast and I recommend you watch it if you haven't already.
F4 Thailand: Boys Over Flowers (2021)
Impactful!
I have been a big fan of Boys Over Flowers (whichever version we may talk about). Each version has its own impact-good and bad.
Looking at F4 Thailand, there are many good points throughout the show and is a very good adaptation of F4 in my opinion. Although I was taken aback by how bad the bullying situation has been shown in this show right off the bat. It was very intense and unlike Boys Over Flowers (S. Korea) and Meteor Garden (China) portrays the F4 in a very bad light.
And that is the main thing I disliked as far as the story goes because for me F4 was never a group of bullies who took their frustration out on the innocent.
F4 Thailand makes Meteor Garden looks like a goody-two-shoes version of BOF.
But brownie points to F4 Thailand for making each episode a little more exciting after clearing up the bullying scenes.
Thyme's character is kind of a mixture of both Go Jun Pyo(Lee Min Ho in Boys Over Flowers) and Dao Ming Si (Dylan Wang from Meteor Garden) and it suits him very well.
Out of all the female leads for B. O. F, Gorya is going to be my favorite. She portrays her character almost effortlessly and has an impact unlike other female leads of BOF. And honestly, this was the first time I felt both leads were perfect for each other. (I mean, we all knew that their relationship is a little toxic, to begin with.)
F4 as always is fantastic. Ren, Kavin, MJ <3 . I loved how MJ was given his own short but sweet story.
For a 16 episode show, they have added as many plot points as they can and made them work, although because it is only 16 episodes long it gets a little hard to know how fast or slow the time is passing, so it seems like Gorya hated Thyme yesterday but is in love with him the very next day which does not make sense in the slightest.
It was funny how they represented both BOF and Meteor Garden in episode 15 (like naming the market Gu Jyun Pyon and having Gorya wear a pullover with Shancai written over it )
Overall it's a good show, more intense than its predecessors, and has some really good actors.
No matter how many times I watch it, it's fun to watch new adaptations of Boys over Flowers and F4. I definitely recommend this show and also the South Korean and Chinese versions of this show.
Seumuldaseot Seumulhana (2022)
Perfect !!
I started this series just for Nam Jo-Hyuk but i became an instant fan of Kim Tae-Ri. She made the character of Hee-do come alive with her acting. The story looks promising and all the characters are great.
Some scenes will definitely make you tear up a little. Nam Jo-Hyuk is doing a great job at portraying Baek I-Jin's character.
Looking forward to what this story will develop into.
The series has officially ended and took a piece of my heart away with it.
Words cannot express the happiness, sadness, grief, and all the other emotions I have felt while watching this series. I laughed with these characters and I cried with them.
A perfect story in every possible way. All the characters are brought to life by these actors. I have loved Nam Jo-Hyuk for a considerable amount of time, but from now on he will be Baek I-Jin for me.
The last episode, though sad, was amazing in every respect. Baek I-Jin and Na Hee-Do will be each other's first love forever, and that in itself was beautiful. Hats off to the writer, director, actors, and the whole staff for making a drama as great as this one.
I will definitely recommend this drama to everyone.
Gisangcheong Saramdeul: Sanaeyeonae Janhoksa Pyeon (2022)
Mixed Feelings
This is the first time I think Song Kang is playing such an upbeat and cheerful character, his character in this drama is like a breath of fresh air from all the other characters he played before.
Park Min-Young as always is fabulous and the queen of office romances.
(I was exhilarated to watch Ki-Jun (Yoon Park's character) being slapped. The whole scene was nicely written)
The series has ended, and I have mixed emotions about it.
As an office romance drama, this show was just okay. It was a good attempt to relate weather and relationships, but a few times it got a little confusing to understand, and you will have to focus to know what they actually mean.
Song Kang has tried his best. But halfway through the show, his character lost its charm. His character that started out as cheerful and upbeat lost its impact a little, and more than a few times his acting reminded me of his character from Nevertheless.
I love Park Min-Young and as a fan, I will support her always because I know she has potential. But she does need to play a different character apart from an office worker as it's losing its spark and I know she can, so hoping to see her in a different role in the future.
The secondary leads played their part well and I have to admit in the end I did not hate them as much as I did at the start.
The ending is what we all anticipated.
I do have to confess though that throughout the show I was mesmerized by how fine Song Kang looked. I would watch the show just to look at Song Kang again.
Overall it's a good show, not the best but definitely at least a one-time watch.
