The perfect christmas movie.
25 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So it begins with an expedition to a secret chamber of King Cyrus´s treasure but what they don´t know is that inside there is the tomb of the lord of wishes.

This is one genie you wouldn't find in a Walt Disney movie, that´s for sure.

He has snake eyes, and for most of the movie when is power is in full display purple face.

The titular evil character is certainly a villain of the latter Freddy films, taking his time to mess with his victims, rather than kill them outright.

The wishes are a very original way of creating scary scenes so I feel this movie is unique in the horror genre.

A solid low budget horror flick.

Liked the possessions too.

A fun low budget b movie.
20 August 2023
I watched it last night and it was great, It's strange that I liked it so much, because it shows all the signs, i was hoping for, and it felt a true alien film, and this is a fan movie.

The characters do the normal job, personally i liked the voice actor in the credits scene, when he is entering the cave beneath the space jockey´s ship.

The aliens are probably the thing that will make or break this movie, and in my opinion they were impressive enough. The occasional CGI effects are never convincing, but then again they never are, so luckily they didn't overdo them.

The movie is highly entertaining and i recommend it to everybody.

Low budget revenge thriller
23 July 2023
This follows the same path, of a man pushed over the edge by some ruthless crime lord and his goons, the pacing and well-staged chase sequences are spot on and the film has a vibe of realism which makes it more than viewable. It also concentrates too much on the violence displayed on screen than anything else, there´s torture, executions and shooting mayhem.

Although the plot will be largely familiar to anybody who has ever seen a 'vigilante' movie, the story keeps on moving and is careful to stick with characterisation at the expense of action, turning it into something more than another blood-and-bullets high-octane thriller.

An amazing return to form of the Creeper.
28 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Interesting storytelling with unique and creative cinematography, outstanding direction and a well written screenplay. Genuinely frightening shots that filled with tension and scare. Fantastic and breathtaking CGI with stupendous practical effects.

The second unit's work on the green screen FX looks a bit off but it still works. I am surprised how they made this movie on such a low budget like this.

One scene is amazingly well done, a boy is digested by the creature and he is still alive and his face starts to change as the creature eats him, awesome effects on that scene.

The movie also slightly expands on the lore early on, which I certainly can appreciate.

The savagery of war is clearly here.
19 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
A truly brutal story about a rookie soldier that has to carry some strange box with him, and a lot of soldiers tracking him, the story seems simple, but it ins´t, it´s devastating, what he goes trough, is a story of survival, because he doesn´t have special skills, he´s a rookie and he tries to survive anyway he can.

In the middle of the movie he gets caught by one main bad guy and he´s tortured, he tries to drown him in waterfall, but he manages to escape, that´s when he goes full rambo on them all.

Making traps to catch and kill them all, it´s really wonderfull to see how he manages to do that, using what he´s got, pilling the dead bodies of the enemy soldiers for weapons, food, clothes, and that´s how he survives, the ending is unexpected but very powerfull.

A huge surprise of a halloween movie for me.
2 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The cult was not too much in this movie, wich i like, they moved the strings behind the curtain, and Michael was killing everybody on this one.

This was actually a decent film despite the backstory because it has the creepy feel of the first two films.

We have many final girls on this one, different from the solo final girl, i liked that too.

The best part for me was Michael killing the girl in the bathtub.

As for this film itself, the atmosphere and set design is probably the best since the original, and dare I say, better in certain areas.

The characters and acting performances in this film are great. No cheesy dialogue, no corny one-liners, nothing to make you cringe and say, "Oh, my God, did they really just say that?" These characters feel real.

All in all, if you're a fan of Halloween check this one out you will like it for sure.

The score/soundtrack in this film is stellar.
