Cloverfield (2008)
Pure genius
This movie was definitely one of the greatest movies I've seen in a very long time... The effects were great along with the acting and it was actually incredibly freaky... There was one plot hole though. Where did the monster come from? I may have missed something but there was nothing about where the monster came from... I won't say what the monster looked like but I could have never imagined what he was or what he does... It is not one of those cheesy monster movies that made in Japan (Although a reference to Japan is made) and the monster design and what it does is actually very original... They actually do a fairly good job of hiding the monster too especially for something that size. The only amazing shot of it is at the end of the movie... Either way I recommend you see it no matter what!
Vacancy (2007)
Mediocre movie with bad ending
I saw this with some friends when we were all staying in a hotel in new york, since we wanted to see a horror movie since we couldn't see Superbad. This movie really was not scary at all, just disgusting. not as in the violence is disgusting cuz the blood looked fake and the action of the violence was bad. But the ending is what kills the movie completely and it's supposed to be happy, but i think it was gay instead...'Spoiler'... The guy gets stabbed a dozen times in the stomach and starts bleeding a lot before falling over and "dying", then the next morning when everyone else aside from his soon to be ex wife is dead, he comes back to life... That is total BS... Jigsaw coming back to life in the saw series is believable and so is Jason coming back to life but in this case it's dumb... So i wouldn't recommend it.
Biohazard 4 (2005)
The best and one of the scariest Resident evils
I remember when i first played this game... My friend brought it over to my house one night and we shut all the lights off and started playing it... It wasn't so creepy at the start but it got really horrifying, especially after i bought the game and had to fight the regenerators at the end... Those scared me to death especially since i had to get a special weapon to kill them. The puzzles are pretty addicting, and the graphics are sweet, and the bonus game "The mercenaries" is fun especially since your allowed to play as Krauser and mutate his arm to destroy everyone. That kicks ass... But the best part would have to be the boss fights, such as the final one, which i don't feel like saying.
Metal Slug Anthology (2006)
Can't put it down!
I just got this game and it was worth my 40 bucks... Ever since I since I moved to America, I was trying to find an arcade that had Metal slug as me and my friends loved it more then any game that we ever played despite how little we were allowed to play it since we didn't go to the arcade that much... We also only got the chance to play Metal Slug X and Metal slug 4 and we needed to play the others... This was the perfect time for us to play them all. I can't stop playing this game on my PSP and I can't wait to visit them and show them this game... They will love it and definitely get it for PS2. And next time you need a game for PSP, PS2, or Wii, get this game no matter how much it costs.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (2006)
Creepy and awesome
A lot of you know why I said awesome but may wonder about creepy... And i will remember how creepy this one part of the game was for the rest of my life... I was in a dungeon filled with skeletons and undead and got over 1000 gold in items, but then my greed consumed me and I picked up anything I found, and when I got to the giant crystal at the end of the dungeon, I didn't check it's price but just snatched it up... Then an angry sorceress came and had two zombie guardians with her, and I was terrified at how dark yet how she stood out in it and then killed me... Overall it is a much better version of the crap game Runescape because its game play and amazing plot and graphics... Plus the ending is cool...SPOILER ALERT... Like when Mehrunes Dagon appears in the imperial city and you need to cast him back into oblivion... I loved how cool he looked and how you had to come up with a strategy fast... But the best part of the game would be in the dark brotherhood or thieves guild like the cut-scene where the gray fox reclaims his throne in anvil and hands over the gray cowl of nocturnal to you and in when you are forced to kill all you allies in the dark brotherhood... THIS GAME OWNS!
Napoleon Dynamite (2004)
This was pointless, dumb and didn't even make me smile
How the hell did this movie get almost 7 stars?! It's hardly worthy of 1! The jokes were repetitive and really retarded, like whenever Napoleon said "God" in anger at the end of each sentence. I heard it was good and decided to see it, but my parents told me if I rented it I had to watch it at least once... And I would have rather killed myself, and that was only the first 20 minutes into the movie... None, as in none of these jokes made sense since it kept skipping from place to place, like when Napoleons at school for a few seconds and then feeding his cow, and throwing food at your pet cow is a sad attempt at comedy that's not priceless... It's worthless! I wish I could give this stupid movie a zero, maybe even less...
Destroy All Humans! 2 (2006)
It honestly was not needed
OK, most of the times sequels are horrible, and this is a perfect example as it is way too annoying with the co-op and the first one was way funnier. It is still a little addicting, but I hated the co-op. Apparently you and you buddy can't be as far as 40 feet away from each other, and you only get 1 saucer with a turret and both people have to be in it to fly it... just horrible. Me and my friend were at each other's throats trying to figure out who flew and who just shot, which almost resulted in a death. We were also arguing over which way to go... and that was really annoying too. Sure it is a little funny, like making prank calls to the police, and it is sweet abducting a tank and smashing hippies with it. But the co-op should allow players to wonder freely and provide 2 UFOs just like halo and stubbs and any other co-op game. 5/10.
Judge Dredd: Dredd vs Death (2003)
It wasn't horrible...
This game isn't the best i've played, or the worst i've played. It did deliver somewhat of a challenge, and was kind of fun like the last level ambush of skeletons and vampires. Several pieces need some work such as the AI, graphics, and voice acting. The major problems are the fights that can either be too easy or beyond way hard. Such as the fight with judge fear on the second last mission. I found a way to jump through the wall which let me be able to shoot his brains out without losing a little bit of shield. And the last fight is not puzzling and way beyond too easy. Judge death takes over Igarus' body, which is now invincible thanks to judges. It's really simple. Free all 3 judges and then deliver a few well placed shots of your pistol on boom shot, game over... Too easy. 7/10 at most, but mostly because of the arcade and i love horror shooting games.
The House of the Dead III (2002)
Not great, but worth playing
This game is pretty addicting, but eventually the same kills do get a little less fun, and DO NOT do co-op unless you have unlocked the unlimited credits bonus by beating the game on normal (Or hard), cuz me and my best friend have tried to beat it so we could unlock house of the dead 2 as a playable, and we got lucky cuz on the final boss we were out of credits, my friend was dead, and i had 1 HP left, and right before he delivered an attack that that would make me want to smash my console, I took a blind shot and finished him. The graphics are cool though, and the bonus missions are really cool in the 2nd house of the dead you can unlock by beating the game. 8/10
Papa Roach: Live & Murderous in Chicago (2005)
One of my first albums and one of my favorites
This was one of my first albums, and i got it when i was 12. I remember as soon as i got home, i listened to it for 3 straight hours, not getting up for any reason (Not even the bathroom). Papa roach truly have talent, and live they are incredible and indescribable. They were also my first concert, and gave me the greatest night of my life, especially when i got an autographed guitar pick from Jerry, one of the coolest guitarists ever! Tobin Esperance is my idol, and so is Jacoby, Tobin even inspired me to take up bass. Get this album and their others... You won't regret it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Stubbs the Zombie in 'Rebel Without a Pulse' (2005)
You play as the zombie, you laugh as a human
This game is great, and me and my friend play it all the time. The co-op is great, graphics okay, sound great, and the gameplay is great. But the greatest part is the humor. Me and my friend crack up endlessly whenever we play this game, whether its a civilian walking on a land mine, or we rip off a soldier's arm and use it as a weapon. My only complaints are that the learning curve and loading screens are a little long, and that the training at the beginning is a little boring. Aside from that it's a hilarious, action packed game, it may be a little short, but it is still fun to play, and it is great to find out the whole story of stubbs by getting to the end.
Dead Rising (2006)
This is the greatest zombie game... PERIOD!
This is definitely a great game. It leaves you with anything as a weapon, and swarms of zombies waiting to have the faces bashed in or sliced in two. The graphics definitely are amazing, and so are the blood effects, and when you kill an enemy, their blood goes all over you and if you walk through blood there are bloody footprints. The game has a ton of twists, lots of places to go, and a lot of bosses and weapon choices. The voice acting is absolutely incredible, yet the AI needs a little work. The game has a surprisingly amazing plot, an amazing soundtrack, and also has very interesting cut scenes, like the one at the end of the game... which i don't want to reveal and spoil the game.
scale of 1-10... 100!
Metal Slug 3 (2000)
This isn't my real rating... I can't rate 11!
I have always loved the metal slug series, and on xbox it is amazing. The missions aren't really connected to the ones before and after them, but offer many different ways to go on each level, each resulting in easier and shorter, or longer and harder, multiple weapons, and humongous bosses, but this game strikes the delicate balance between hard and easy. It's hard enough to deliver a challenge that could take a month to accomplish, yet easy enough to keep you from destroying your console in anger. It is definitely the greatest game i've played in years, and you will love it old school arcade fan or not. I guarantee it.
Epic Movie (2007)
F***ing retarded
OK, this is really a pointless, mentally retarded movie. and i have reasons why. The jokes didn't make me laugh once. The cutaway scenes are like a horrible version of family guy. The jokes are either crappy jokes which were stolen or pop culture jokes (Poop... Ha ha! NOT!!!!!!!!!) This movie completely kills the borat joke. The ending is stupid and once again kills the borat joke by him saying "You finally make movie with happy ending... NOT!" Then everyone gets killed, which is stupid. The acting sucked. This is another "Date movie". 2 out of 6 writers of the movie "Scary Movie" wrote the jokes... 6 writers and we get stuck with the two SHITTY ones... Thats what you get when working with a budget of 50 bucks. This guy's movies suck. Even if you're under 10 and mentally retarded, you won't laugh. and finally... IT WAS RETARDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But that is not the most pathetic part... When they try to boost DVD sales by putting flat, out of shape actresses in the nude and having their boobs shown in full view on camera... that has to be a new low...
Hot Fuzz (2007)
Action+Edgar Wright+Simon Pegg+Nick Frost=Greatest movie ever!!!!!
I loved Shaun of the dead, and loved this movie even more. It cracked me up during the whole movie with hilarious lines and situations. Once again, Edgar Wright made a parody that was pure genius. If you have no good movies to see, you should go see this, as you will laugh until you cry, and want to see it over and over again. Even if you hated Shaun of the dead or never saw it, go see this!!!!!!!!! Edgar Wright is a great movie writer, and Simon Pegg and Nick Frost as just as funny as they were in Shaun of the dead (Actually even better), and this is definitely the greatest movie ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
