Jacob Tremblay
28 March 2024
Straight outta Room, Jacob was a special guest invited by the New York Times to be part of the 10 best and award winning actors in their short film series where the performers were lifted on air in different themes. Jacob's theme was an astronaut floating on space separated from his helmet.

This was one of Jacob's cutest performances he ever did, and he was just perfect. What's totally impressive was that Jacob was the only child here at 8 years old alongside legendary and also award winning actors during the making and the release of Room. Aside from his many awards for Room, this was also when Jacob became a legend! And it doesn't end here. He keeps doing great performances in mostly indie films, which is more impressive compared to most A-list actors his age.

Great movie, Great lead (Jacob Tremblay)
19 March 2024
This movie is so relatable as most of Orion's fears were my fears to as a kid. And to add to the treat, Jacob Tremblay was amazing voicing Orion. I'm not sure if they made it intentional or not, Orion and Jacob looks a lot similar!

At first, this movie confused me when Orion was telling the story midway, but I started to understand that the story was not told in a linear way. It was told as a non-linear form and it got me quite geeked out.

The final act was quite different, but it just solidified for me that overcoming your fears isn't a one person mission and it is not something once you overcame it goes away permanently. It's not as black as white as that. This movie shows that sometimes it takes family to help you, and even several generations to complete the circle.

Jacob Tremblay is the most interesting part
19 March 2024
The movie is quite interesting for a directorial debut. The third act was quite rushed since there are a lot of things that was seemingly skipped between Mia and Igor.

Despite not getting to show full potential, Jacob Tremblay made another great performance. His character Igor has a pure heart and you just want to fill the void he has living mostly alone.

Mia is like Thanos in her own movie. When you see how much lines she cross, you will know how journalistic integrity start to not exist anymore in this movie.

If ever there is a director's cut for this movie, I'm expecting more Jacob scenes as his final scene could have had a heavier impact. But overall, the movie was good enough, and of course Jacob's performance was great!

Better than the original
19 March 2024
This is one of the best live action remakes done by Disney. They put the notch up even more with spectacular sceneries and visuals.

I will skip to the songs since those are the things that made me love this version way more. My favorite part was the Kiss The Girl scene. The harmony and rhythm is so amazing. Jacob Tremblay's singing is the cutest and his performance is so underrated.

Some people might call me a shill but no, I'm not. I prefer the original Lion King than the live action one. But this movie is just totally different and better. If you think Flounder's design is bad, it's not that bad. They made a more realistic approach and it grew to me as I watched the movie.

Invincible: Atom Eve (2023 TV Movie)

Jacob Tremblay is Amazing!
19 March 2024
Jacob Tremblay did an amazing job as Phase Two! I do not understand why his name in the iMDb credits are at the back, he was the second highlight of this TV movie aside from Atom Eve herself. I can feel the tragic life of Phase Two with his voice. I'm not even a fan of the show, but because of him I'm thinking of watching it.

I do understand that the returning cameo of the show regulars are what people came here to see. But it was actually Jacob who did a great performance and should be acknowledged!

Whether you like the story or this special episode itself or not, you have to give it to Jacob for doing an amazing job here. He is one of the most underrated actor in the industry, a hidden gem that deserves more praise!

River Phoenix set the bar too high
8 June 2022
Justin's character is what makes the show interesting. Melissa and Logan are good supporting casts who had their own share of highlights. Gabriel on the other hand started out ok but got lamer as the episodes progressed, and that's not even comparing his take on Charlie with River Phoenix (RIP) because that would be too unfair to compare.

The filming of the show was halfway postponed due to the pandemic (episodes 1-3) and there's just something with Gabriel that went quite wrong. His acting got worse after the resume of the filming on episodes 4-7. There are multiple scenes especially the beach scene before he shakes the bottle, where he just looks a mile away and moves like a robot, so synthetic. This is far far from what he can do as Andy Barclay in the Child's Play reboot.

In his interviews he stated that he doesn't need to act sometimes since the environment does the acting for him (watch his interviews to see), that's lame no offense. I wonder what happened to him. Maybe puberty? Or the pandemic made him too laxed out? Maybe he doesn't have it in him anymore? Who knows? Maybe he should take a break and find himself? Whatever it is, I wish the best for him...

The First and last great acting from reboot andy
8 June 2022
When you have a talented main cast and a budding child star and still end up hating the movie, no worries. There's a lot of this kind of movies out there this for sure ain't alone. There's no question about Brian Tyree Henry and Aubrey Plaza's acting, but the main character here aside from Mark Hamill's Chucky is Gabriel Bateman's Andy Barclay. For me he is a better Andy than Alex Vincent although he's in the wrong franchise. There are some people who wanted more of Gabriel's acting and cheer him to be recognized more. But I'm not gonna spoil you about his recent acting and roles since this is a review about this specific movie. All I can say is already in the title "the First and last great acting."
