Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga (2020)
Not bad at all
Firstly, I hate Eurovision. The music is (generally) terribly and the voting is as fixed as a Russian General Election.
That being said, this film was really good fun. The storyline took some time to kick in and the elves, well, let's just say there were some elves.
I give this a solid 7/10 but don't think I would watch it again.
2012: Supernova (2009)
Terribly OK
This film was bad from the start and only got worse as it went along. The physics was wrong, the timeline was wrong, the damage proposal was wrong and.... well, you get the drift.
Acting was terrible. Story line was trying to be too complex when in fact it should have been very simple. They crammed so much in without spending anytime developing a story.
I rated this 2 stars and that was being generous.
iBoy (2017)
A decent film
Set in the East End of London, this film was about life on a troubled housing estate and how one incident changed the life of those involved completely.
At points it was too slow, at other points it was too fast. But overall the film had a decent pace and was an enjoyable watch.
Its not a film I want to watch again but its also not a film I regret watching. I give it a solid 6 out of 10.
I would love to see this made into a mini-series where they slow the pace and can fill some of the gaps in the story.
Jurassic City (2015)
Seriously terrible
The idea is OK, some dinosaurs escape captivity and run wild.
But...
The acting is terrible. Some of the worst I have ever seen. Too melodramatic when they should be dramatic and way too dramatic when there was no need.
The special effects are horrendous! Jurassic Park had good special effects, Jurassic City just looked fake. The dinosaurs were on a slightly different lighting level to the rest of the scene. It reminded my of the original Godzilla movies.
The story had some stupid twists, stuff that would never happen in real life and one specifically which is so bad it made me wonder what the writers were thinking.
All in all, one of the worst films I have ever seen, but not in an annoyingly bad way, just in a "what am I watching" type way. If you have 90 minutes to waste then you could do worse than this one, but it will be a waste of 90 minutes.
The Condemned (2007)
Worth a rent!
My first post so forgive me if I mess it up!
I saw this film last weekend and in my opinion it is worth seeing as a rental, not worth buying or paying the extra for the cinema tickets.
The only really good thing about the film is Austin getting beat up by Vinne Jones (a true hard man! Just watch any of his Wimbeldon FC football games!).
Other than that, it is quite predictable, there are a few surprises, but you see 9/10 things coming a mile away!
Rent it, purely for the Vinnie Vs Austin scene's.
Oh, for the wrestling fans wondering if Austin can "make" a film just like he used to "make" matches, he can not! The film is bad but not terrible!
