Insurgent (2015)
So far from the books
What. In. The. World? These are so far from the books it hurts. Thanks to Edward not getting stabbed in the first movie, they replaced him in the second one on the train. When Tobias(Four), meets Evelyn, she's not with Edward, nor on the train. No one, votes for Tris to turn herself in, sees the people about to jump off what should be the roof, and Christian is not a jumper. Tris turns herself in, herself. Tobias(Four), turns himself in because"You die, I die too." But no, they "capture him". It's far off, but not as bad as Allegiant. But it's still bad. Please read the books.
Seriously. Read them.
Divergent (2014)
Pretty good
This movie is good as a stand alone, but as a book movie? No. They left out so many important things that are in the book. One example is that in the book, Tris' mom, is divergent. Something else that also plays into Insurgent is Edward. I can understand them not putting a certain scene in the movie violence wise, but it's still important. Especially the part that reveals to Tris that her mom was Dauntless was also very important, and they didn't add it in the movie. I know they've got to save time and everything, and it's a long book, but they might have been able to make the movie like the book, and keep all the parts. Not saying this movie is bad, or you shouldn't watch it, but definitely read the book, and watch the movie.
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022)
Decent.
In this movie, it's more of a stand alone movie, than it is a sequel. By them making Puss in Boots afraid, and only have one life left made it feel like he was no longer "Puss in Boots" he was now just a cat running from death. Him being the fearless cat he is, is what made him Puss in Boots, and it feels like they took that away. As a stand alone movie, it's really good, but as a Puss in Boots sequel, it didn't feel right. This movie felt really anticlimactic. When Puss was fighting Death, it makes your heart race, but for it to just stop, feels as if it give you no time for your heart to slow down. I really feel like it kind of fell flat in some parts. As a movie, good. As a sequel, not right.
Bunk'd (2015)
Good show
This is a good show, and even if you haven't watched Jessie, it's still good. I really liked this show, but when they changed how the show was in season three, it was hard to watch because I really loved how the old version was, and it was good that way. It's not bad season 3-5, but it's different. I don't think there are any cons in season one and two, while there were two "scary episodes" in season two, the rest of the episodes were good. If you struggle with shows changing when you really like them, just try not to get too attached to the characters because some leave the show during recasting. That aside, it's still a good show, and I do recommend it if you like, or even love camping, comedy, or Jessie.
Cats and Peachtopia (2018)
Not the worst.
This was interesting, but not what I was expecting. I'm not sure how this movie kind of is, because American movies, and Chinese movies are different. It does seem as if some scenes were cut out, which made it kind of confusing. Due to the fact that they show animals being killed for molding purposes (killing the animals by crushing them into clay) is kind of creepy, and may scare some people. Everything around that part was good, that was the only part that seemed disturbing. I don't think anything had crude humor in this movie, Not the worst movie, but I probably wouldn't watch again. May need some guidance when watching, but is watchable.
The Lego Batman Movie (2017)
Good movie.
This is the only Lego movie I like. It's meaningful, and interesting. I recommend this movie a ton, because it has almost no uses of crude humor I'm pretty sure, and it's actually funny. The facial features are so well made. I'm not sure if its exactly like the comics, but it is definitely about Batman, so that's something. But still, the shadows are good, the backgrounds are amazing, and the detail is great. I don't know if there's any cons to this movie, everything is pretty great, so that's nice. But overall, I honestly really love this movie, and I definitely recommend it. Just give it a go!
Time Changer (2002)
A wonderful movie about God.
This movie is fabulous, you can feel the acting, it's meaningful and moving, and I think every Christian should watch it. Love the comedy, and the time travel. But, this movie is about God, so if you don't support it, it doesn't mean it's not good to Christians, it just means maybe don't watch it. Overall, a wonderful film that shows how this world is.
The Croods: Family Tree (2021)
It's...weird
My opinion on the first episode.
1. The background looks 2D, and everyone else looks 3D? Which makes it look photo shopped.
2. The characters look really weird. They don't even look like the ones from the movies.
3. The humor is really poor. It feels more like a "trying to be funny youtube video".
4. Guy and Eep's relationship feels weird now. And it now feels like they are too "in love"
5. It seems like in the first episode, Eep tries to teach her friend(Dawn) to be more rebellious towards her parents. I don't really think that's a great moral.
Would I recommend? Probably not.
Freaky Friday (2003)
Beautiful.
Good slow motion,
Nice comedy,
Occasionally some crude humor,
Sort of a feel good movie,
And a good choice of background music,
it's unique, and fits well!
I think it's a beautiful movie about a Mother, Daughter, relationship prospective.
It explains how it feels to be in both worlds, where a Daughter, and a Mother can understand. And the way that they can understand how it feels to be each other is amazing.
DC League of Super-Pets (2022)
An okay film.
This film seemed okay, for teen audiences, but some kids and adults might not find it as funny.
It was cliché, predictable, and the humor felt dry, and was crude.
The climax of the movie was actually very anticlimactic. At the end it felt like "Oh my gosh, what is going to happen to Krypto?!" But ultimately just fell flat.
The character designs were also poor. The only characters that seemed to match decently was Bruce Wayne,(Batman) and Super man. The Flash, and Aquaman seemed horribly designed.
The moral of the movie wasn't very clear, but it did make some good points. Honestly, the only part I liked was the dynamic between Bruce and Ace in some scenes.
Lola rennt (1998)
Good film.
It's a good film, but may be confusing for some people. It's definitely a film you need to pay attention to. It's a kind of film I've never seen before. It's unique, and well made.
Trouble (2019)
Nope.
This movie has so much crude humor. I really don't advise watching this. The point of the movie is kind of unclear, was sort of cliché, and was kind of boring.
Minions (2015)
Not half bad.
Not a horrible movie, but a lot of crude humor. But the movie was honestly not half bad. I probably wouldn't watch this movie very often, but not bad.
All Hail King Julien: Exiled (2017)
Great part!
Definitely a great part of the show. This is just the story, but only Koto, and his takeover. Make sure to switch back to All Hail King Julien after finishing this. (It swaps back to the show) I recommend watching it, but once Koto takes over, (On the original show) because you won't understand very well if you don't.
All Hail King Julien (2014)
One of the best shows I've ever seen.
One of my favorite shows of all time. It does have some inappropriate jokes, but not very many. It's exciting, funny, meaningful, and inspirational. If you are a fan of Madagascar, and/or a Lemur/animal fan, I definitely recommend giving this a go! But, if you loved Madagascar, don't expect All Hail King Julien to be like it. Non of the characters from the original movies are seen except at the end of the show. (Meaning Alex, Melman, Gloria, Marty, etc.) I love this show, and I think all you animal fans out there will too!
Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (2022)
Not the worst movie.
Had a decent amount of crude humor, but the moral was good. Good sound and acting, and decent animation. It was kind of odd how they kept addressing that they were in a movie, but overall, it's a good movie to give a go!
The Tuxedo (2002)
Interesting.
I wouldn't call this a "Family Movie" it's more of a comedy, mostly because it has multiple references of crude humor. Still, a good comedy film, just not really a "Family Friendly film".
MacGyver (2016)
Used to love!
The show season 1-3 was excellent! Jack and Macgyver were the perfect team, the whole thing with Riley and Bozer also made it interesting, and Matty becoming the new boss just put the cherry on top! Matty seemed like she was going to be mean, and annoying, but turned out to be strict, but sweet and funny! Murdoc got me on the edge of my seat, and it was so good! But.. Then when Jack left, I feel the whole show went downhill. Desi came along, and I thought, "Oh, I'll get used to her! No worries!" but then, I realized, she started acting like a "I'm gonna kick your butt" and "I'm a second Macgyver!" Which made me kind of upset. But then, when Desi and Macgyver fell in love, it just fell apart. I feel like Riley and her feelings towards Macgyver held it afloat, but of course, it was kind of just a temporary fix. Then, Bozer and his funny spirit held it afloat for a while, but Murdoc was truly holding it up in my opinion. But it just got worse when Jack died. I feel it wasn't fair how Macgyver pretty much had to apologize for everything to Desi. At some point, I just finished the show to finish it. Honestly, there was probably no save to this show. I think they could make a comeback, but they probably won't uncancel the show.
Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure (2001)
One of My favorite movies.
I love this movie, I think it's just as good as the original. The fact that he's basically Tramp, is actually really sweet. I'm very happy that they made Angel a part of Their Family. I think it gave a very good lesson about family, and that they love you, and a good lesson on who you hang out with. I definitely recommend this movie if you love animals, and animation.
Spirit Riding Free: Riding Academy (2020)
Great show!!
In my opinion, I feel this show is better than the original show! It's more exciting, and adventurous than the original show. I think it's also good that they kind of have the show to themselves for a little!
Spirit Riding Free (2017)
Great show!
The show is cool, it's entertaining and exciting.
I love both the show, and original movie.
But, I don't really like the part about Lucky running away to the circus because of her dad getting remarried and falling in love again, I don't really feel that it is necessary and I feel they could have done that but in a different way.
But also still doing the whole circus thing, but different.
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (2002)
Wonderful movie!!
Honestly, the way they show how the free spirit in Spirit works is amazing. It's amazing to see the animation of how they portrayed horses. It's very beautiful. And Spirit Riding Free is just as good. I recommend both.
Spirit Untamed (2021)
Not well portrayed.
The biggest thing to me is the way they portrayed Abigail. She acts like a snooty/spoiled teen, and she's not that way in the series. She has a sweet, kind, and loving heart, and she's super sweet, but she's not that way in this movie. Her and Boomerang being my favorite characters, this was very upsetting. Some parts were cool, but I think they should have been more careful. I think this is very far off from the series, and out of range for the original Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.
I definitely advise watching the show first, I think you'll get the best perspective that way. Besides, the show is amazing.
TaleSpin (1990)
Wonderful show!
This show is hilarious, and wonderful. It's very entertaining, and fun to watch. I definitely recommend giving it a go! I think it had a good life, and was well made.
Rio 2 (2014)
Storyline
These movies are very nostalgic, but I hate how Jewel treats Blu in this movie. I don't think it is okay. It is very mean, and rude. He tried to be "The bird her dad wanted him to be" but she acts very rude about it, and I don't think it is good. Otherwise, the movie is actually pretty decent. I still think the first movie is great too.
